Dragon Ball Z DVD help

Ok, hi guys, I just want to buy this series in Z1 Uncut, with japanese audio and english subtitles, the problem is that there are so many DBZ dvds... you know..... Im totally confused.

I just want the original series, without ovas and movies, just the 291 episodes....

Isn't Funimation starting to rerelease this series in box sets? Or is that another part of the franchise?
