Only in the crappy American version
Godzilla was a male. Proof? In the 1991 Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla they revealed that Godzilla had a second brain, in it's crotch.

Godzilla had a child, I remember it had a film all to itself...
So Godzilla can't be male.
And of course Godzilla's big in Japan. Godzilla is big wherever in the world she happens to be. Godzilla's just *very big*.

Godzilla is still Big and huge about a year ago ( I think) they just released Final Wars, which I have. Also there is a rumor that the director that made Godzilla vs. Hedorah is making another one that will be in the theaters that are 3-D (i think) But I know one is suppose to come out next year in 2007. I'm a huge fan of Godzilla so, I still look for more information on release dates and new movies coming out.
P.S I like to think the mommy godzilla died in the first one and the daddy continued. Plus after Godzilla vs. Destroyah, Main Godzilla died. Juior took in the radioactivity that his parent was releasing and became the next Godzilla.

You have to realise that They separated Godzilla into different eras, So everything that happened in the Showa era films isn't really connected to the films made in the early Heisei era, and all the films from Godzilla 2000 onwards, are basically a different timeline that the Showa and early Heisei era films.
