I just got this series a few days ago and I had to watch the entire thing in two sittings!

Gakuen Heaven (Boy's Love Scramble)

Itou Keita unexpectedly receives an acceptance letter to the elite boy's school Bell Liberty Academy (also known as BL Academy). The beautiful boys all around him have some type of special talent, but Keita gets average scores in school and has no special talents. Why did the school accept him? Keita searches for the answer while trying to fit in.

Since this anime is based on a PS game, where the players actions influence who Keita falls for, there is posibility for extreme pairings (mix and match). However, in the anime, I was cheering for the main pairing (they're so cute together!).

The characters in the original game and manga was designed by You Higuri (Georgeous Carat, Cantranella, etc). You have guys with long flowing silver hair, short red messy hair, dark wind-blown hair, and a little Eri Yuki look-alike.

Another reason I really love this series is the familiar voices. The main character Itou Keita is voiced by Jun Fukuyama (Kimihiro Watanuki in XXXholic). Niwa Tetsuya (the "king") is voiced by Katsuyuki Konishi (Sobi in Loveless). Endou Kazuki is voiced by Takahiro Sakurai (Shibuya Yuuri in Kyo Kara Maoh and Cloud Strife in FF Advent Children). Taki Shunsuke is voiced by Kenichi Suzumura (Kamui Shirou in X/1999).

It's not lacking in plot (more than once my jaw dropped), eye-candy (the guys have still photos before and after the breaks), and the humor (Ham Ham Heaven at the end of each episode...with the characters as mice). Not to mention the BL content (nothing graphic). The middle episodes start off with a conversation the watcher can easily missinterpret (trust me, it's very funny).

When it is released in the US, it is one I will purchase and support. (I want the manga too! and the game!)

Yeah, I saw it. I am not that impressed really, but happy ending was nice.

A few times had this series been compared to its sister yuri series, Strawberry Panic, since it's basically in the same settings and everything. Of the two, I had to say Strawberry Panic comes out the winner of the two. Both of them started out shallow, but in watching SP, I had hoped GH would follow the same route, but alas, in the end, it's pretty clear it focuses mainly on fan service and a plot I don't really give a hoot about. I did like the eyecatch with the King and Queen, and of course, all the Hamu episodes. :naughty:

I saw it but the plot wasn't all that great to me. But overall nice animation and I loved the voice actors. I probably will buy the series anyway. Hopefully they will bring out the game. The manga is coming out (I think its the one volume correct me if I'm wrong or the anthology) but it deals with the King and Keita. I think the game though Keita can end up with the other characters depending on how you play I guess.

Meh, the game wasn't all too good so I wasn't expecting much out of this series. I loved the animation; it's the first thing that stood out for me. They also chose a good cast of familiar voices. However, everything else sucked. The yaoi hints were lame and the plot was terrible.

Gakuen Heaven, I thought, was cute ^_^. Of course, after watching Strawberry Panic the first that popped into my mind mind was 'This is like the yuri version of GH' xD ha. The anime itself was alright, one of those that it takes about half the series just to start the 5 or so episode plot. But, for a cute little light hearted thing, I liked it.

I would like to play the game for this though. I was expecting a little more...I dunno...boy-love in the anime >_>. It was more of a teaser for me -_- meh. But still, cute. Not on my "OMFG! It's coming on DVD! *spasms like a crazy-mental fangirl*" list. Ok, scared myself with the fangirl thing...*slowly sneaks away into the shadows*

I think I was just reading too many so-so BL manga that this was very refreshing. I admit I love a sweet BL series. And, this really fit my mood.

I'm not saying it's the greatest thing since strawberry Pocky, but I really liked it as a change of pace.

Thank you very much for your opinions on this series. I'll probably re-watch it again in a few weeks and see if my opinion has changed. (Sorry, right now I'm just going nutz over the just released 125 chapter of Tsubasa manga... *spasms just like a crazy-mental fangirl*)

I still haven't seen this. I have the first two episodes downloaded, but I haven't sat down to watch them yet. I was just gonna wait till it was licensed (I am sure MediaBlasters will get it eventually) and watch the whole thing in one sitting.

^ Well, from what I've heard, the manga got licensed (Don't know by whom >_>). So, maybe. I dunno. How big of a damand is there in it? It doesn't seem all THAT big of a hit. *shrugs* Your guess is as good as mine ^^.

Though, I'm really hoping for the game to be licensned ^^; Hehe. Already read the Manga and watched the anime. Now it's time for the original, sex-filled version for me xD. Haha.

The manga was licensed by BLU and is scheduled for release in November. You Higuri (Gorgeous Carat, Cantrella) is the mangaka! I love her work!

I also would love to play the game. The only other Yaoi game out there is Enzai, and the plot of that one kinda turns my stomach.

I have Enzai. I like how they say Guy is 18 though...when he clearly isn't, if I remember correctly ^^;;. It's not a...bad game. I like torture ^^;; Maybe I'm biased. Of course, I can't make myself sit through and play it AGAIN just to get new pictures and such >_>. Just...wasn't THAT interesting to sit through Multiple times >_<.

And, there is another Yaoi game ^^. Perfect Obediance. Though, it's been released since July and it's still "On order from Manufacturer" from the site I ordered it on...Dammit. Looks good, too...

I think Guys is supposed to be 12. Wow, I can't believe they think anyone would believe he's 18. I haven't bought the game because I am not really one who likes to play games on the computer. I'd love to see some of the BL games for PS2 (or PS3 when it comes out) come over here.
I really liked the Enzai OVAs. I figured they would never be licensed, but I have seen quite a few lolicon hentai at stores. If they can sell them, maybe they can get away with Enzai? If not, I may import the R2 ones. They are expensive though....$120 for both of them.

The site I saw them at was some import site with lots of Japanese stuff. Are you sure the one you saw wasn't a bootleg?

Well it didn't LOOK like one. Was still all wrapped up and stickered closed when I got it. I suppose it COULD have been. People can do a lot with photoshop, but it didn't seem to be edited together on one disk. I did accidentally get a bootleg before though. With Bronze/Zetsui. That was really obvious when I got it and watched it...Enzai didn't seem that way.

If it was bootleged, the people were REALLY good with editing, special features, special cover and celophane.
