So, is this some kind of re-release of CB? Does it have extras that haven't been released and all that jazz? Becasue I'm thinking about buying the DVD's, but I would like to know more about it first.

I bought them even though I already have the original DVD's because some day I'll take advantage of the improved audio and visual. I haven't watched the Remix versions yet, so I can't make a comparison between the extras though. I believe the selling point of the Remix dvd's however is the improved audio. I've read reviews that say the audio mix is much better then on the original dvd's, it's not just in surround sound, but it's been adjusted to better fit the scene (louder or softer depending). For a show like CB, the music is also a character, so it's important.

Anywho, Bandai says:

Hmm...well okay then. I was thinking of getting the CB box set, but do you know if there will be one released of the Remix DVD's?

I wish there was a box set for the Remix. That would be great.

*Here's wishful thinking.*

I don't think Bandai has said anything about a Remix boxset yet, v6 just came out as it is. The original CB boxset is long out of print and difficult to track down (most people end up buying bootlegs, either purposely or by accident), so you'll either have to wait for the Remix boxset (that may or may not come) or get the individual dvds.

If you're buying for the first time, the Remix dvds are definately the better choice. You'd probably wind up paying more for the old, limited, out of print box set than you would the singles anyway, since it wasn't really a cheap box set the way we think of them now. Bebop is a cash cow for Bandai, so it's hard to predict what they'll do with it. If they were going to do a cheap set for it, though, I'd predict a brick for Christmas 2007.

you really think they'll wait that long for a box? remix is a re-release to start with,I'd think they'd rush the box out the door once it was all remastered and out in singles.

Bandai isn't ADV. :P I'm just guessing, but I'd say not if it's selling well as singles. Bebop is Bandai's Eva. Remix wasn't a cheap rerelease, and they're in no hurry to cut off singles sales. How long has the series been out now? They didn't feel a need to do an economy release in all the time before Remix was announced. The box set they did do was a limited release, I believe with a cd, rather than an economy set. I'd expect to see another Best Sessions type release before an economy brick. Or another premium box with the Remix discs. Of course, they could put out a brick for Christmas this year. It all depends on where the money is.

Sadly for me I missed out on the original box set, I can only hope they some day release a brick box set or even better a thin-pack. Perhaps even with an art book.

I'm playing the waiting game as it is, here's to hoping!

I predict there will be a box set out by the middle of 2007. This is CB after all. It is Bandai's answer to Evangelion.

I really hope so, I missed the first limited edition one.

A thin pack would kick so much *** though.
