Hello! about a year ago I bought this poster-
http://img159.imagevenue.com/loc598/th_00582_Harmony_598lo.jpg (http://img159.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=00582_Harmony_598lo.jpg)
isn't she cute? I named her Harmony.
anyway, I would really like to know where is she from.
to me it looks like some kind of magic anime.
I'd really appreciate some help - if anyone has any clue...
I also know (I think) that the chinese writing above the poster is the serial number that is in English at the bottom. but then again... you would know better...

Domo arigatou... XD

The kanji on the top look more like they might be the title of either the show or of this particular painting. I can't quite make out all of them though. Did you take the picture of it yourself? If so, is it possible to get a higher resolution picture of those? That might help.

Edit: I can't seem to get that second one. It's too small and parts are cut off.

王_彩色布画
Which would be like... "King-something Colored Cloth Painting". Which means absolutely nothing. :P I'm too lazy to invest enough time to translated it correctly with incomplete information. Those words are the literal meanings, and will be of just about zero use.

*edit*
this is the best scan I can get. the little 2nd letter looks like that (a little cut on the top) in the little pic too...

I'm not sure about the first character, the top is still cut off of it. The second character seems to be 'kin' or (I believe) 'gin' which would mean Gold or Silver.

王鑫彩色布画

Sorry, that's all I can really offer. I'm afraid it's not anything that'll really help...

Using a Chinese-English dictionary, I found the second character means "financial prosperity," and that it's usually used in a person or shop's name. So the first two characters are probably someone's name. However, since I couldn't find 鑫 in a kanji dictionary, I wonder if that poster is in Chinese, not Japanese.

I'm thinking its either from a game or just some nice art that isn't related to anything and is just a nice ilustrationg.

Wanderstar from HongFire knew where is it from! XD

"It's from an art book, not any anime or game. I dont know the accurate english translation for the name, so i will just try to spell its pronunciation. The name of the art book is "Ten kyo ki tan" or "天球绮谭" in Chinese characters, and the artist is "Yuu Shiina" or "椎名優". Here are the cover of the book and exactly the page showing this cute girl~"

ty very much everyone for the help! XD
