anyone heard it yet? apparently its not that good.... its the first one that nobuo didn't do, and the new composer tried to do too much with it.

btw, if anyone has a linky, hook me up with it :naughty:

I heard it and it's "ok", not a Uematsu but "Ok".
"Kiss me goodbye" is a good song though.

It's pretty good and the ign review was unfair, 7.5 wasn't reflective of the review itself (if i had to guess a score from just reading the review it would've been 5) but then again it is ign.

I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, but even without Uematsu, it's not like the music was composed by a bunch of rookies. Hitoshi Sakimoto himself is a solid composer, I just think that rather than take in the FFXII OST by itself, people are (even if only subconciously) expecting the sound to have a certain 'Uematsu' quality to it, and are basing opinions on that.

Geez, this is the first time hearing that it won't be done by Nobuo Uematsu. I just assumed it would be. I'm very disapointed.

So the composer who did FF Tatics is doing the music for FFXII? If so then theres hope, I love the FF Tatics music.

I've actually just been listening to the FFXII OST (heard 3 of the 4 discs so far) and the music is very good, it also retains some of the themes from FFT, which makes sense since the game is based in the same world. It may not be Uematsu, but it's still good stuff; but since the game isn't out here yet, I don't know how the music sounds when listened to in context.
