I am talking about background music, not vocal themes. Vocal themes are pretty mediocre as usual, but background music... I was surprised. Shiro Sagisu made it again. It was him who wrote the music for Evangelion and Kare Kano. Brilliant!

Well the first OST was great, but the second OST is very lacking. Only 1 or 2 good songs on the whole CD.

I finally have received OST 2 and I do not agree with you. Though OST 1 is much better, OST 2 is also decent.

The vocal themes? That "Nothing Can Be Explained" is one of the few songs I like from the Bleach OST... but maybe thats not what you're talking about when you say vocal themes.

"Nothing Can Be Explained"......by Mike Wizgowsky probably is exception (can be remembered, at least), but even in this case I'd prefer better implementation.

I liked the non-vocal themes, but I really wanna find the instrumental version of "Number One"
Did anyone else like the baet collections? My favourite was Ichimaru's "Fuyu no Hanabi"

I love the background music, though i haven't gotten the OST (1 or 2), from just hearing the music from watching the series almost all compliment the qactino that is currently going on at the point in time. I wish i knew the names of each particular song so i could use examples...

Dedicated fans of the anime Bleach may notice some of the same music played throughout the movie. (Fight scene with the 1st Neo-Sapien for one example). This is because composer Shiro Sagisu worked on Bleach and Casshern (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casshern) at the same time.
I've heart both soundtracks, Bleach looked better for me.

I love the music from Bleach...
Both vocal and instrumental.
It truly captures the mood of the anime, whether it be happy, silly, serious or sad. ^_^

Yeah, I noticed on Gendou that is was Shiro, doin the music. I was happy to see that... I mean his music for Evangelion was wonderful! It really was good to see him back in buisness again.

OK, yeah.
The first OST is a masterpiece, IMHO. His use of patches was amazing. The themes are driving and his motifs rock.
The second OST isn't as impressive (I say it's the Bount arc's fault). The only tracks I can call exceptional on the second OST are "0demolition drive", "A Requiem", and "torn apart". The rest are pretty decent (IMHO, all of the harpsichord pieces border beyond fail as standalone pieces). The guitar works are pretty cool too, though they don't make much of a stand against the first OST's "Goin' Home".
I can't wait to see the next OST, and I'm still trying to get used to the second one, the choir thing is what I'm not used too yet.
