A Brazilian guy named Sahgo told me about the Brazilian Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. Sahgo knew it was going to have the dub names, but there were a few other "surprises" Sahgo didn't expect...

Yes, "Game Start" is changed to "É Hora do Duelo" = "It's Time to Duel!"

Also the opening talk pages of Takahashi are not in the Brazilian volumes

So in other words, the Brazilian version was translated to be more like (the 4Kids "version" of) the (second) anime.

Wow, that's pretty lame.

I feel sorry for them... :(

PS: All countries deserve to have "manga" and not "anime on paper".

There's bound to be Portugese Yu-Gi-Oh! scanlations or something somewhere. It's not that big a deal.

I wouldn't mind that so much, myself. It's not the dub names that bother me so much, or even the dub voices. I'd rather have the original names and voices, but what makes me crazy is the cuts. Yu-Gi-Oh! is cut almost as badly as One Piece, and they've also adopted the "another dimension" crap from DBZ. There is no Shadow Realm!!

Indeed. I inferred that Mai Kujaku was actually in a coma after losing to Marik (and that in the manga, she dies...or am I mistaken).
