Okay, so about 2 weeks ago I went and bought FFU volume 1-3. Very nice, loves it muchly. Went to the store today and found out that they restocked some of their dvds... but this time they have volume 1 with the artbox. I would much rather have the artbox, but I don't really want two copies of the same dvd... as much as I love it, I don't see the point.
What should I do with my extra dvd? It's not really something I'd want to GIVE away, and I can't sell on eBay... Don't really know anyone around that'd want to buy it either.
Think it's worth the while to rebuy volume 1 and try to get rid of the extra dvd later?

Well, I guess it depends on the store and their policy, but perhaps you can just return/exchange the volume 1 for the box version (or sell it back as used if they have a used program).

Yeah, thought about that... unfortunately that was a no-go.

It depends on how bad you want the art box. I have picked up art boxes in the past from e-bay after buying complete series and deciding that I wanted the box . . .

well if you want the box you could try ebay, however FFU wasn't a very popular series so it will likely be very difficult to find the box there, I know of a place online that is selling vol. 1+box for $16.98+shipping if your interested I can PM you a link. Or you could buy the thinpak (which would likely be cheaper then vol.4-7 in singles) which comes in a box and sell off your vol.1-3 singles.

Well, if youre just in it for the collectability, then you might as well get the artbox. You can get the complete series thinpak for $20 so if you're gonna buy em seperately you might as well go all out.

Ah, I'm reminded of my AYA (Ai Yori Aoshi) dilemma. I had the first volume without the box and later went through a lot of frustration to find it with the art box (it was long since out of print by then), and then had to sell my original volume 1. But at least it's over now. *hugs his AYA box*
I definitely find it worth it to get the art box. It's a collector's thing, and anime series look a lot nicer when they're packaged together in a flashy art box. If I were you I'd buy the volume 1 w/ art box, then sell your original volume 1 without the box. It worked out for me, I'm sure it can for you too, especially since you found a place right a way with the box in stock. Go for it while it's there. ;)

Yeah, I understand that it's out in thinpack... but I'd prefer art boxes/single discs if I can get them. I think I'll just get it and try to sell of my vol 1 I guess. How I'll do it, god only knows... but I'll try.

Just curious...is there a reason you can't sell it on e :censored: bay?
Animenation has a trade-in program you might want to look at. They give store credit.

Oh, I don't have a sellers account. Mind you, I may be able to sell it later, because my friend may do it for me. I just can't do it from where I am at this point in time.
And you're right... I completely forgot about AN's trade ins.
*checks*
I'll only get 2 bucks for volume 1... ohmies.
Either way, dilema solved. I bought it anyways. ^_^
