The first Manga I ever seen was on late night T.V about 8 years ago, I taped it and watched it the next day.

I enjoyed it, but it was so long ago I forget the name.

So this is where you (whoever's reading) comes in.

If I were to tell you w/e I can remeber about it, do you think you could try and name it?

Or is that out of the question?

Manga isn't on tv...its a book...

But describe it and I'll see if I can help you. :)

Manga cannot be taped because it is not video, it's printed material, comics.

The "Manga" you're talking about is probably the liscencing company with Manga as their name. In other words, this is a question you want to ask in the "anime section"

I don't think I could help, but kenshinbebop is right. You're probably talking about anime, so try posting this in the anime section.

Aha, I didn't realise.

I knew Manga came in book form, but I thought it could be animated too, I just thought it was a different style of Anime. My complete and utter bad :)

Tag this is you want to :)

My complete and utter bad :)Try thinking of it this way: the word manga means "comic; cartoon." So, manga are comics. The word anime is an abbreviation for animesshon, the English loan word "animation." So, anime are animated.

I find it amusing how DEMON212 has still not posted a description of what he wants identified. But way back in 1998, there really weren't that many anime shows on the air, especially late at night. Was Gundam Wing really 8 years ago? I'm thinking it was more the time of Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and DBZ.

The first company to popularise anime in the uk was Manga Entertainment. For a long time, they were the only company to distribute anime in the uk. Since they heavily advertised their brand "Manga Video", a lot of people from the UK don't really know the word "anime", and call Japanese animation "manga".

I'd suggest that all the anime mentioned so far are not the "late night" type of programming that DEMON has mentioned. It's likely to be something with sex and violence. More details, please. The Sci-Fi Channel and Channel 4 were broadcasting the more violent type of anime late at night in this time frame. I remember watching the Devilman OVA late at night at around that time period, to give an example of the sort of things that were getting exposure.
