You know, as much as I love Bleach, these latest chapters are pissing me off. We could have seen Urahara's bankai in his fight with Yami, yet we didn't, as their battle ended anticlimactically. Now it's starting to look like my favorite pairing in the series, Ichigo/Rukia, may not actually happen after all, for now Orihime's feelings for Ichigo are becoming blatantly obvious. It seems my hope in Ichigo/Rukia is diminishing, and if Ichigo does end up with Orihime in the end, then so help me, I'll scream.

I don't think RxI is down an out...yet. Orihime is just upset ect. I really wanna see what happens next, and whats going to happen to Grimm Jaw...

As much as Orihime likes Ichigo (which has always been obvious), I never saw a relationship between them happening. Same with Rukia for that matter. Rukia and Ichigo have a bond, but I don't see a relationship between them happening either. Ichigo is the type of guy that wants to protect everyone, and has shown that he just wants to get stronger in order to do so. I have never seen him show any interest romantically in either of them, or anyone else for that matter. There will always be people who think it should be "Ichigo x Orihime" or "Ichigo x Rukia" (and then you have yaoi the fanfics like "Ichigo x Ishida"), but Bleach just isn't a romance series. I don't think Ichigo should end up with either of them, much less anyone else. By the time the manga is finally over, the relationship part of it should just be left open. The only thing Orihime's feelings for Ichigo should do is strengthen her resolve to do or not do something later.

Anywho, I'm not surprised about not seeing Urahara's bankai or anything else for that matter, it's probably meant to be a surprise for later.

Yes, this is, of course, a shounen series, where romance is often (but not always) out of the question. But I'm still a fan of Ichigo/Rukia, and I've never really liked Orihime that much, so it's only natural for me to nitpick.

Anydangway, I suppose this would call for an interesting 'Rescue Orihime' arc, where we may actually get to see more of the vizards in action. I'm also interested to see what Aizen has planned for Orihime, although I think I have a good idea what's going to happen.

I'm a fan of Ichigo/Rukia as well. Seriously, Orihime need to stop cry, for god's sake.
Chapter 237 is VERY so-so to me. We might will see Aizen is planning for her and all shingami's BanKai in a couples of chapters.

Eh, a relationship building chapter. A one-sided one at that. I really wanted to see some aftermath of Orihime's abduction and the battle, but it looks as though that will have to wait <_<

Agreed. I like Orihime x Ichigo but I still can't see it happening just like I can't see him with Rukia either. With Rukia, it seems like a strong friendship to me, not romatic. She has much more history with Renji if anything. He is also her age :P

I just hope with this whole "Rescue Orihime" arc that seems to be coming is that she actually does something useful and simply doesn't become the "help, rescue me" type. I also hope they don't write her out of the future chapters because she is captured. Urahara has to know something that he isn't telling us...

I agree that not showing Urahara's Ban Kai means fun attacks for later :D

I wonder, does Aizen plan to turn Orihime arrancara with the hougyou? It certainly is possible, and is an intriguing plot twist. Also, I like the look of the arrancara partial masks, so I'd like to see it on her.

Orihime's neither a Hollow nor a shinigami, and her combat abilities are rather weak, so I highly doubt it. Rather, I think Aizen wants Orihime for her healing ability, which has been stated by Ulquiorra that it involves manipulating time and space. Therefore, if what Ulquiorra said was true, that means Aizen could use that ability to speed up the awakening of the Hogyoku.

Yeah, I also think Aizen wants to use her ability on that Hogyoku.
