Need a title. help!

hey guys, K' Dash here,

my friend and I are starting my own original manga, but we cant think of a damn title! we already got a solid storyline and characters but the title isnt coming to me :eww: , can you help us?

well heres the story in a nutshell. in the year 2007 a small war takes a turn for the worst when a blind organization supplies eah of the quarreling nations with newly developed weapons of mass destruction. and in one final battle these small bordering nations nearly wipe themselves out of existence.
months after the incident, a New "world" gov. has scince been established (basically a united nations with more control), all the nations armies are limited in terms of size an weapons, and owning a WMD is considered a war crime.

in the midst of this are 2 brothers, Kei & Jynn. though they are bounty hunters by occupation, they sense there is something wrong within this new world government, and aim to find the truth. Fighting criminals as well as other bounty hunters, street gangs, crime syndicates, and outlaws, they must search for the truth among many lies and myths.

thats basically it so far. but we cant get a good enough title. help us out here. -_-;

Can you tell us a little more about the two main characters. Things like their personality or looks, age, ect.

sure.

well Jynn is 5'11'' dark skinned with black spikey hair and blue eyes. In combat, he uses electric gloves that deliver shocks of electricity on impact, and a katana.

He is really quiet, carefree and doesnt really get angry often, however he bottles up alot of anger causing him to explode, which usually in battle. at this point he becomes a mad berserker, and though he refuses to take lives unless absolutely nessesary, he'd kill anything that breathes.

Kei is more the loud fun loving guy. a lil shorter than Jynn, but more muscular. he is an accurate shot with a high calibur pistol and a good fighter with bastard sword at the ready.
Kei is a hot tempered laidies man, who is all too destracted by a pretty face, but is mad at the fact that girls seem to pay more attention to Jynn. they often fight each other, if not to test their strength, its a viscious but playful onslaught by kei out of pure jealousy.

I think so too. I mean, knowing the main storyline isnt enough to come up with a title. U know, the most interesting titles r pointing at a secret behind all things , secrets that r hidden, and the reader knows about them more and more as she/he drifting forward in the story. Try pointing at something like that with a smart title, or just simply give a name to the war and make the war's name the title, or the outcome of the war, or give the main character a nickname and use that somehow.. That's all i can think of rite now xD

I agree, only the writer/artists would know what they really want in a title but I'll throw out a few ideas later tonight if I come up with something.

you should call it "transience".. the storyline seems to deal a lot with death and whatnot.

good luck with that...titles are a ***** to come up with...me and my friend have been workin ona story for a while now (we keep changin stuff so we basically get no where -_-; ) it took us a year or more to come up with a title...~_~...and we're even thining about changing that...:P

yea titles are annoying... but im getting pissed at something else. 3 years ago i made up a character with electrically charged gloves, which became his main choice of weapons in combat. well, scince then.... lets say ive seen too many similar weapons. if this manga eventually gets published or something i dont want people to say, "hey, he's got gloves like that dude from that cool show" when i thought of the idea, it was the 1st time ive ever seen it. then after about a year (after i posted the pic on another site) the electro gloves are everywhere, i dont like too call names, but copycats are a *****. sometimes it doesnt pay to post your art, someone could get a lil greedy.

:doh: grrrr, im having a hard time with this manga. its universe is so "gun" oriented its hard to have CQC. i mean its not in the past, so i cant make everyone carry a Katana or a wooden staff to fight with! :wacko: this is hard...

but i dont want it to be all guns, i wana incoporate some hand to hand combat or fighting using weapons like swords, knives, staffs etc. that title sounds cool though. . . .

You can use that title and still have other weapons and hand to hand combat.It's your decision anyway.

That might work...even though it's a little overdone, I think it applies to what I've read. Simple, catchy, and relevant. Good deal ^_^.

well for now, im calling it gun-Blade, but im still thinking and probably will end up changing it.

i guess i think it sounds tooo generic you know? i guess ill have to wait to come across that 1 special original title... i just cant think of one! :mad:

lol I'm having a similar problem, I'm making my own manga/comic but I'm doing mine alone, no friends to help and all I can do is draw, I'm Sh*t when it comes to story and dialogue but anyways yeah I'm stuck on titles too lmao.

If I come up with something though I'll post it.
