You can find it for 30 at most online stores. I like it the first half and then the second half goes on a rollercoaster ride.

I loved Blue Gender. It has its flaws, but the story and characterization stay engaging all throughout. Definitely worth the $30.

Hate to be the dissenting opinion, but I didnt think it was very good overall. Animation was fine, characters were hit-or-miss, and I felt its attempt at creating "mature themes" was kind of obvious as an effort. Story was not bad, but storytelling was tedious.
But for $30 anything is worth it, so its not a bad purchase. Hell, I once bought a Gasaraki set for $30 only to later resell it for $35.

^I didn't like it too much either.
But even if you watch it and don't 30 bucks for a complete collection of anything is pretty good. Go for it.
