You know, I heard of Blue Ray Player and a Blue Ray Disc from the T.V. show Attack Of The Show on G4. I have 3 questions to ask

1 What is a Blue Ray Player?

2. What does it do?

3. What is a Blue Ray Disc look like?

1. a high definiton dvd format

2. plays high definiton bluray format dvds on high definiton displays in up to 1080p resolution

3. just like a regular dvd. youll know the difference in the store becuase the cases they are in are similar to regular dvd cases, except smaller, thinner, and a translucent blue color

the real difference is that the player uses a blue laser beam to read the discs, instead of a red beam like regular dvds and HD dvds use.

For example, if I got three DvD players already at home then all of a sudden I want to buy a Blue Ray Player is it really worth it? or is it just a waste of my money? Why?

Wait for the PS3's price to drop before getting it. Trust me. also, Having a really REALLY high end HDtv helps.

Many are predicting the Blu-Ray format is going to fail. Odds are you'd be better not getting one.

You know, I was reading an article about CNET's review about HD-DVD vs. Blu-ray according to the CNET's reviewers they said "CNET recommends that you refrain from buying a Blu-ray or an HD-DVD player in the short term" Here's the rest of the informaton check it out

http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-6463_7-6462511-1.html

Here's a link to the reason why they said that

Do you guys think that's a good advise from CNET? & Why?

It's excellent advice. I don't suppose you're old enough to remember VHS vs Betamax, which was the last format war which impacted average American consumers as much as this one seems likely to. In the short term, both will command a high price, and there's no way to know which one will be the chosen format of the market. Past experience tells us that there can be only one chosen format of Hollywood.

In the VHS/Beta war, many consumers were left with a VCR for which they could no longer obtain tapes, and for which parts and service were difficuly to obtain. It's always better to wait and see who the winner is, unless you have enough money to buy two expensive players.

If the Porn studios choose Blue-Ray then HD-DVD fails. Or am I wrong?

actually, the first set will have 50, and scientists a while ago successfully added more layers making it 100, and a month or two ago, added even more layers and successfully made a 200 GB Bluray disc.

That is arguably what decided the VHS/Beta war. The availability of cheap rental porn did provide sufficient growth in the VHS market to place that format in a commanding position. I'd question whether it would be the case again, though. With porn so readily available on the internet, do people still rent that much porn?

Thats a tricky subject there. Porn dvds (don't ask how I know this) tend to be pretty expensive, sometimes entering the $30-$50 range. Just imagine how expensive the Blu-Ray discs would be. (I'm going under the impression that Blu-Ray discs would be more expensize than HD-Dvd.)

I don't doubt. I know all about those. However, how long until those are readily available/used?

from what i have heard, they will be available pretty quick for computer backup usage, but the video games will start with the 50 GB discs

Well, according to Chris Gore (from the T.V. show Attack Of The Show) he said that you should never recommended it he said to you better wait for it. check this video out

He also said "It's a pass" I'm sure that this is a good advise from Chris Gore (from the T.V. show Attack Of The Show)? right?
