The FF series is known from its glorious and wonderful music. Nobue Uematsu is the main character behind the music and has composed many exelent pieces. What is your favourite song from Final Fantasy?

Some of my favourites:
You are not alone FF9
Prelude (appears in many FF)
Eyes in me (FF8)
Breeze (FF8)
Back to zanarkand (FFX)

I learned Zanarkand a few tears back, so I became unattracted to it after that, still, it's a very beautiful song. I believe the best work I've heard is from the FFVII movie: Advent Children. You know, When Tifa fought Laws, or whatever his name is. I downloaded it, and liked the full version even more. It's probably a pretty hard piece to learn.

I like all the FFX and X-2 music alot. Alot of people say X-2 music is't good, but I think it is pretty cool. (Not as cool as my FFX, but cool.)

In my opinion, Final Fantasy 6 has the best soundtrack out of all the series.
One exceptionally good song is the mystic forest track, and celes's theme.

I learned it as well, and only became MORE attracted to it.
Basically all FFX and X-1 soundtracks are good.

the prelude. because it isnt a final fantasy without that song playing somewhere in the mix and its so hypnotizing. i could sit there and listen to it all day

To name just a few, my faves include:

The Prelude (any version)
Tina (FF VI)
Cosmo Canyon (FF VII)
Liberi Fatali (FF VIII)
Zanarkand (FF X)
Auron's Theme (FF X)

and any version of the Chocobo's theme.

I've also always enjoyed all of the vocal songs since they were introduced. "Suteki da ne" (FF X) in particular gets me teary eyed when I hear it; such a beautiful song. Same with "Aria Di Mezzo Carattere" (FF VI), though the orchestrated version is obviously more powerful than the in-game version.

Rydia's Theme (FF4)
Celes' Theme (FF6)
Aeris' Theme (FF7)
Eyes on Me (FF8)
Melodies of Life (FF9)
You're Not Alone (FF9)

I suppose those are my top ones.

It's not really a song but I loved the end of battle theme from FFVII that was remixed and reused in a bunch of other FF's ^_^

This reminds me of Final Fantasy X. I absolutely loved hearing the song "Suteki da ne" sung by Ruuki. It was a FMV sequence when Yuna and Tidus got at least together end of the game after Seymour's final defeat. Yuna got sad, and she started thinking for herself if she wanted to continue being a summoner. The moment Titus starts talking to her and Yuna starts crying in his shoulder because she felt bad, I thought that was so sweet. After he consoled her, they both started start swimming, and afterwards they kissed on a beautiful night sky. It was such a touching moment, and definitely one of my favorite moments in all Final Fantasy games that I have played. Hearing this FMV song added so much impact to an already touching moment.

I actually thought all the interactive cutscenes in Final Fantasy X were really impressive. This happened to be one of the best aspects of this game. The opening of the game FFX) where the players started playing Blitzball in the arena was so cool. The animation and music was so nice and it really started the story off on such a high note. One of the best video game openings I have seen in a long time. ^_^
