Gundam Seed CE73 Star Gazer

Thoughts? I only saw the first episode of it. But it's quite entertaining. I'm glad not to see a gundam in this one.

Has it been subbed yet? I know a raw has been released, but I refuse to watch it unsubbed, because it'll spoil my experience if I can't understand what's happening. Anyways, you'll see Gundams, practically every title unit is based on a Gundam (Blue Duel, Verde Buster, Strike Noir, and then the odd one out, Stargazer itself).

Watched it about a week or so ago. It shows promise with a good first episode. It's a shame it's only 3 episodes at 15 minutes long each.

We were originally told it would be a three episode (15 minutes per 'sode) ONA. You're probably thinking of the rumors of some Gundam SEED ETERNITY or something (which has no base, given that the next and presumably final SEED production is a new untitled film).

I've grown to love the theme tune for Stargazer, shame it's so short; is the one in the trailer the full version or is it edited down from a longer version?

Wow. Fail. Stargazer was pretty awesome for the first episode. For example, there was actual focus on other people than Kira, Athrun, and...Kira and Athrun. In any case, I thought it was good. It introduced the characters well and I actually kinda felt bad when the one guy died. But in any case, I thought it was well done and very UCish, and I definitely am watching the other two episodes. Hopefully there'll be some nice UCish combat instead of the seizure combat of SEED and DESTINY.

First stage of Stargazer was pretty good, it had a gritty and almost haunting feel to it with all the destruction. Thing is, its not directed by Fukuda and you call tell almost immediately, shame each ep is only 15 minutes long. Oh and yes the first stage has been fansubbed.

Watched episode 2 this morning, which turned out to be another good episode. I still can't believe there is only one episode left, it feels like it should be longer. Episode 2 further increased my dislike for the Earth Federation, my least favorite organization/group/military in all of Gundam.

I agree on the length... 3x15 minute episodes doesn't do this OVA any justice. Although its very good so far it would be so much better as a longer production or at least a movie.

The fact that it was so short meant that *SPOILERS*
When Mudie dies I had little empathy towards her since we barely see her at all... and the same with the Blu Duel which is actually a very decent design. Its a shame it got taken out now when we only see it in action very briefly. Then again since the whole thing is 45 minutes long and it happened now probably overall seems right.

The action we see is good and I like Sven's character which is kind of similar to Shin's (and a bit like Heero) but because of the flashbacks (which actually work very well for once) used he doesn't seem flat or annoying.

I also really like where the climax is heading and what the Stargazer is actually like, the fact that it learns to do things on its own and its design seems more appealing the more I see it.


I think so far Stargazer shows us really what Destiny could and should have been like, and I hope people notice the differences with this new director who I think has a decent job so far. Can't wait to see the final part.

I really enjoyed Phase 2.

The brief flashbacks of Sven's childhood, and the brainwashing really added into the depth of the storyline and explained some stuff to me.

I saw stage II last night too. The artwork is really sharp. They are still on the Coordinators vs. Naturals conflict again though. I don't know about this Star-Gazer mobile suit though. I've always like piloted gundams.

Grabbed it last night, watched it this morning (I was working on college papers. DAMN YOU COLLEGE, YOU KEEP ME AWAY FROM GUNDAM).

Anyways, I'm really pleased with the quality this is turning out to be. Kinda sad about what happened during the fight scene, but Sven's awesomeness makes up for it....barely.

Finally! I watched ep. 2.
I really liked it, looks way better than the other G.S series.
But for some reason, when the Blue Duel was attacked, I han a flash back of Asuka in E.o.E... :'(

I finally got around to finishing SEED and Destiny, so I watched the first two episodes of this.

And man, this should be longer. I'm actually genuinely pleased by a CE Gundam release. I can't wait for the final part.

man i dunno, I didn't enjoy ep3... a lot of what happened didn't seem to make much sense with everything being rushed and all and i felt they threw away opportunities to make it better... but i was disappointed as i waited almost 2 months to watch it.

my biggest gripe is that the Stargazer AI had little significance in the overall story, there was a brief moment in ep2 where they show it off and I thought that here was a good opportunity to make the last ep a bit interesting by using the AI to do something but they didn't. Come to think of it there didn't seem to be much point to a lot of what is shown in these 3 eps...

I didn't even find the ending sad considering its so difficult to have those emotions to characters that we've only seen for such a short while.

I blame whoever had the idea of just having 3 15minute episodes, this could have been something really special had been much longer.
