Well, no one really likes to be completely thought of as a sex object, though it is fun occasionally. But that's going to happen regardless of the gender of the two participants. There are lots of lesbians and gay men who pick partners for the sole purpose of sex with love never entering into it, the same as in heterosexual relationships. It even happens in anime. Tenoh Haruka, anyone? With the exception of Michiru (and to an extent, Usagi) all females are sex objects to her. Doesn't make her a bad person, just a bad flirt and a playboy.

In short, it's the person, and not their sexual orientation. And even though I'm an adult female, I'm still just a big kid and I love all my big kid toys.
