I'm curious when Funi will release it. Checking their website: http://moonphase.tv/ doesn't give me any information unless I register, probably to get loads of junkmail.

8/29 according to a couple websites i visit.

edit: a couple more are saying it was pushed back to 10/17? :(

It's been pushed back to October apparently. I guess the other sites haven't gotten the notice from Funi yet.

I've been checking the AoD forums every couple of days, but so far there hasn't been any info (that I'm aware of) about what, if anything, the box is coming with.

What are these rumors people are spreading that Nekomimi Mode won't be the opening themesong? How can we survive without the ultra cute intro?

I honestly don't think the rumors are true. There's two months or more till it comes out so I don't think people are being serious. Still . . . some rumors have turned out.

I don't think the rumours are true either. FUNimation aren't that kind of a company anymore, they've grown into an excellent anime distributor, and learned respect for the source material.

Funimation showed a preview episode at one of the earlier conventions. Becasue it was from a preview disc it did not contain the opening to the series. That's when the rumor started flying. Funimation on an AOD thread stated very strongly that we will be getting this title with the adorable Nekomimi Mode when the actual DVD is released.

the comcast on demand airing of moonphase has the opening without vocals.

If this is true it is liekly not any fault of Funimation, some Japanese companies are just ****s about licencing any of their stuff outside Japan. It could be a problem with the artist, their record label, or anyone in between.

Funimation ran into the same problem with Kodocha and as such was unable to use the opening music, or mention the band's name (Who was mentioned offhandedly in a few episodes). As a result the opening was changed to the 2nd opening. The next episode previews were completly muted of sound (Since the song was in background) and scenes witht he band were also muted and subtitles just had XXXX for the band name and member names.

Mine too....
But if the can change Utawarerumono to "Shadow Warrior Chronicles" <_< Then i am sure they can take a song out.
But like someone said, it may not be the American licence companies fault.
