In the room, Gendou and Fuyutsuki sat, surrounded by the members of SEELE. "What has happened to EVA-04?" A man, by the name of Keel asked.

"We don't know anything beyond the fact that it was burgled." Gendou replied, simply.

"The simple fact that the EVA are so large makes what you say seem impractible." The man who said this gave a gruff sigh, his voice squirmish and wormy. "AND... ontop of that... who could have penetrated NERV and entered the entry plug without detection?"

Fuyutsuki chuckled. "You got us there... who knows? Perhaps it was an angel..." He said, looking down at the table infront of them.

"Don't play games with us! We fund 80% of your operations at the least!" One of the SEELE members spat.

"This is all besides the point! Have you anyway of retrieving the EVA? Have you any suspects?"

A hologram of a piece of paper and a picture of Megami appeared in the middle of the table. "This girl was the one who showed up in the EVA on the visual feed." Gendou said, keeping his hands infront of his face.

"Who is she?"

Fuyutsuki shrugged. "We, have no idea."

Gendou continued. "The paper she left behind says anti-EVA. Searching the net, it was easy to find. A massive religious cult going against NERV and all that support it. Also, listening to conjecture of the pilots of EVA, the girl was Tetsurada Megami... a pilot of EVA who died months ago..."

Keel nodded. "I see... We expect you to deal with this problem, Ikari."

"Yes... with the influence of the UN behind you, it shouldn't be a problem snuffing out a few terrorists; despite the fact that you have two groups after you..."

"An anarchist group, and a bunch of religious extremists..."

"That is enough! This meeting is ajourned..." Keel said. One by one, the members began to black out from the dark room. "Gendou..." Keel said, staring him in the eye. "I expect that you take care of your things on your end... But remember our plan..."

Yori chuckled. "Damn... our pilots got their ***** handed to them..." He puffed another cigarette, sitting in his apartment. He looked out the window, where the next four apartment complexes were gone... nothing but rubble. "Damn... this city is getting smaller after every week..." He got up, walking outside. The smell of construction and cement was fresh in the air. "And I hate this... the city smells like it's been being built for the last 5 years!"

Yoshirou grabbed the bed he was lying on, he was in alot of pain, blood was everywere now, the nurse which tried to carm him down, her hands were blood stain'd.

"Yoshirou-san, take this" the doctor shoved 2 tablets down Yoshirou's neck and about 5mins later he was out cold, "get him to the opperation room now!" he said to the nurse's.

"Ikari. You have have been taken here for informational purposes." Shinji had woken up, but not in the hospital, where his fellow pilots had awaken, but in a room where he was surrounded by men in suits. "We want to ask you about some occurences that have happened of late." The room was a small rectangle, with a small square wood table and five chairs. None of the men were sitting however. Two were infront of Shinji, and the other were guarding the door. Shinji tasted blood as soon as he awoke.

Yoshirou was back in his ward now, after having his chest seen to, he was still out cold though.

"will he be alright docture?" said the nurse who had to restrain him, "i.... im not sure, what this NERV company do to these kids is beyond me....." he replied with thought in every word, but he new that NERV was the only thing protecting them from the 3rd impact.

Yoshirou suddenly work up, he didn't scream like the time before, but he closed his eyes again, and lay back down.

Yori sat outside his apartment complex, drinking a beer. The air was warm, crisp, and dry, and no people were about. This Tokyo-3 seem like a deserted waste land. Suddenly, he stopped drinking his beer. "Yoshirou..." He said, looking at the magnolia trees blow in the wind. "Yoshirou... Yoshirou..." He repeated aimlessly. "Yoshirou!" He jumped up, with the peak of a gust of wind, and started sprinting down the road, towards the giant hospital that over looked the flattened sky scrapers to the east. "What the **** am I doing!?" He shouted as he ran. Oh yeah... I'm gonna' go check on me boy... He thought with a slightly drunken smirk.

Megami looked into the eyes of EVA-04. "You beautiful creature... you're... the only love I can trust." She reached out to the EVA, as if trying to embrace. "Beautiful... just beautiful... I love you!" When she said these words, Kikan's image appeared before her. "I love..." When she saw it, she closed her eyes. "Not you!" She screamed, throwing her arms before her; it was as if she was trying to disperse Kikan's image, or rather, the emotion looking at him made her feel. Love, hate, and anger. What could such a deadly combination of emotions drive a person to do? I'll kill him! She thought.

"There you are, EVA-pilot." Leader said, standing on a ledge above Megami.

Megami looked up at him, a little swayed from her thoughts. "Huh?" She recognized him. "Oh..." She looked back to the EVA. "Who would've thought there'd be such a large space under a simple temple of prayer?"

Leader chuckled a bit. "No one. Exactly why this is here... but, to address a more important matter... how will you move this EVA now..."

Meagami sighed, frowning at his words. "The EVA... ran out of power as soon as we finished parking it here. But... luckily it's mine. I'm its owner... so I know its secrets... it... showed me while I was inside..."

"What did it show you?" Leader asked, his dark cloak hiding the expression on his face you'd expect to see based on his words.

"It's secrets." Megami repeated. "I know what we have to do... but it'll be hard to do with giving away our location... or..." She turned to leader, smiling mischieviously. "Destroying this place."

"What?" Leader didn't sound too happy. "Destroying this place? But it is our current base of operations!" When he saw Megami's stare, he knew, there was no other choice of action, so he nodded, in compromise. "Very well..." He chuckled, gruffly. "I suppose it can't be helped. We have backup HQs... but tell me, please. What are you going to do with that EVA? How are you going to make it useful.... what are these secrets you speak of?"

Megami stepped towards the EVA. "I got it!" She said, swerving around to leader. "Look at me..." She said to Leader, happily. "I'll launch this lovely biomachine next time an angel attacks... that way, those NERV dogs won't have the time or resources to stop us!"

Leader nodded. "Good, you beat me to the words." He turned. "I'll leave the rest up to you... I look forward to seeing what you and your EVA have planned." With that, Leader left her, leaving her alone with EVA-04.

Megami watched him go, then looked back at the EVA. "This is perfect..." She said. Then, realizing what a success the day had ended up being, she began to laugh, wildly into the wide, open, expansive room.

"Leader-dono..." His right hand man, Junichi Ohski started. "Are you sure this is a good idea? Using a... non-believer... and an EVA-pilot no less to help of in our endeavors? Do you think it wise?"

Leader smile, his face hid by his dark cloak. "To tell you the truth, Junichi-san... I have no idea. I doubt we can trust that little girl at all."

"Then... why sir!?"

He stopped, staring directly at Junichi Ohski. "Because... to win this war... we'll have to pull out all the stops..." He said, wisely. "Risks are required sometimes..."

"Sir... but..."

Leader began to walk again. "How's that son of yours?" He cut Junichi short.

"Sir...?"

"You should make sure he's able enough to join the elite-guard soon... we're about to get started." With that, Leader entered his private lift, leaving them alone. "This is all great..." He said to himself, as the lift went up. "I couldn't ask for a better layout of circumstances..." He removed the cloak... revealing the cunning face of... Kreager. "Megami... show me what you can do!" He said aloud, as the lift stopped at the bottom floor of the terrorist organization's south branch HQ. As Leader exited the lift he sighed. "Playing to boss roles is so tiring..." He looked two the skies. "Has the next angel awoken yet?"

Shinji gagged on the taste of blood and spat on the floor "Wha-" he panicked "Is this an interrogation?!" he was afraid "I didn't do anything!" he said automatically "I just did what I was told!" he babbling, he didn't even know what he was saying.

"Recent evidence points to the burglar-pilot of EVA-04 being a girl by the name of Megami Tetsurada.. is this true?" One of the men asked. The rest of the men watched; seriously, observing Shinji.

Shinji nodded furiously "Yes, that's right!" he didn't know why he was here alone but he geussed it had something to do with unit-04 "Listen, I don't know her that well, it was Kikan who was closer to her." he blurted out "So ask him."

With that, the men seemed to lose all interests in Shinji. The nodded distinctively, giving the impression that they understood and believed Ikari fully, then left the room. "Where's he, the hospital?" One of the men asked.

"Yep..." Another said. And soon, they were gone. The man who spoke last turned at the door. "A nurse will be here soon to retrieve you, so wait up." He smirked toughly, then closed the door. Shinji heard their footsteps, with faded rather quickly, and then... silence.

...

Asuka kissed Kikan passionately. There was no better present she could give to him than her love. "Kikan... I love you..." She got out, during her love assault.

Meanwhile, the agents were just arriving at the hopsital. "Kikan Reigan. Perhaps he'll clear this mess up once and for all..." They entered the building.

Kikan was contented, he said nothing in return. He felt the same way, he was sure. But there was a part of him that wasn't. A part of him that he did like to indulge. "I-" he said finally, but he never finished his sentence.

Shinji was alone, he rested his head on the table "I hope they don't hurt him." he thought to himself.

The NERV agents knocked on the door suddenly, and Asuka broke the kiss off as a result. "Open up!" One of the agents said, strongly.

Asuka sighed, distastefully. "Damn... and it was a good kiss too!" She opened the door. "What!?" She screamed obnoxiously. When her mouth stuffed into NERV, she changed her tongue quite quickly.

Ignoring Asuka, the men filed in. "Kikan Reigen?"

Yoshirou lay in his bed, looking at the ceiling, "i failed to stop her......." he said aimlessly, "it's my fault for not being strong enough"

Suddenly a knock came on the door, and enter'd someone Yoshirou wasn't expecting to see, "Re....Rei?"

Rei looked at him distantly. "I just came... because it's my job to check up on the patients. I was assigned you this time." Looking at Rei, her injuries didn't seem to bad. She just had a bandaged wrist. "How are you?" She asked, almost dully. She didn't seem to be showing Yoshirou any emotion again...

"No, I'm not. I'm Shinji Ikari." he said sarcastically "Why do you bother asking? You already know the answers." he sighed, annoyed at their intrusion "What the hell do you want?"

"Woah, down boy!" One of the agents mused. "We just want to know a little bit more, solidify some things." Asuka looked on from the corner of the room she had been pushed into.

Another one of the agents sat down in the chair next to Kikan. "Yo, Kikan... I heard you knew Shino... you were there when he died, right?" He chuckled. "Guess that big shotgun he was always carrying didn't protect from an angel, huh?" The other agents laughed at his remark.

Ina walked into the hospital, carring her bag and her coat, she was wearing a skirt and top, "Hello, what room is Yoshirou Naoki's please..." she said to the nurse, "im... his sister"

The nurse looked at Ina, "ok follow me, but dont spent to long, he isn't very well...." the nurse looked away from Ina as she said that, of course Yoshirou wasn't very well, he protected Kikan from getting his head mauled by a Prog blade, and taking many blows.
The door opened, Rei was still with Yoshirou in the room, "Yo.... Brother!!" Ina said as she ran towards him.

"I..Ina! how did you get here?!" Yoshirou ask as he turned away from looking into Rei's emotionless eyes, "why have you come?"

Ina looked away, "Some people came to our home in Russia..... they killed everyone....... we was celebrating your safe passage to japan.........." she started to cry with remembering the death of everyone in her village.

Kikan snorted "You shouldn't make fun of the dead. Besides, I didn't see any of you guys around to help me ever. I geuss you're only good for interrorgating kids and sitting on your fat ***** all day." these guys were annoying. It was like having Shinji clones. "What do you want to "solidify" ?" he asked finally.

One of the agents, one who hadn't been yakking with the rest of the men, stepped forward. "Kid. We need to know two things. Was the girl who piloted that EVA truly Tetsurada Megami, and is she a member of anti-EVA?" He stared at Kikan through his shades, not moving. "That is all we need to know... any idea?"

Kikan nodded "Yes, I'm pretty sure it was Megami. She spoke to me before she attacked us." he replied honestly "But I don't know what anti-eva is, so I can't help you with that." he couldn't get a moments peace, he was either fighting angels or training or being questioned or something else.

"One more question, the sister of one of your fellow pilots, Ina... has just arrived. You see... her entire family was murdered... she was the only one who escaped... so we had her transported to Japan from Russia. She is the sister of Yoshirou."

Another man who hadn't spoken before came forth. "The question is, have you ever been attacked by people who seem to be part of a cult of some kind? Y'know... religious extremist?"

Kikan thought about it "Oh yeah, once there was the guy who was ranting about how EVAs and their pilots are sins against god and stuff, I wasn't really listening to the guy, to be honest, I hate crazy religious people. Anyway, he had a gun and was waving it around and shooting. Then he left, said something about not killing me yet." he finished lamely "It was in this hospital actually." when he thought about it, this hospital wasn't very safe at all, the religious fanatic tried to shoot him, Asuka had been hung and Hikari was possesed by a demon girl.

One of the agents sat up at Kikan's words. "Are serious!?" He asked intently.

"Seems like it's true then..." Junya walked into the room.

"Lt. Jun!" One of the agents cried.

"Oh..." He waved. "I came in a few minutes ago." He turned to Kikan. "Kikan-san... thank you for the information... I appreciate it." He turned to the other agents. "OK boys, we'll be leaving." He turned to Asuka. "Ms..." He bowed, and then walked from the room, closing the door. Soon they were gone.

Asuka stood up, looking over to Kikan. "Kikan... anti-EVA?" She arched an eyebrow; she seemed worried about him. "You were... attacked?"

Kikan shrugged "Yeah, he didn't hurt me though." he said quickly "He was just ranting and firing shots around me." he sighed "I just thought he escaped from the mental ward or something, I didn't know he actually worked for somebody who wants us dead." he was confused, he never tried abuse the power of his EVA at all, why were there people who wanted the pilots dead? "Urgh, they don't pay us enough for this. In fact, I don't think they pay us at all. We should go on strike."

"Ahh it's good to see you sister though... im glad your ok" he said as he smiled at her, he didn't realise Rei was gone until he looked around the room... "Typical Rei..." he mutterd to himself.

"Soooooo what you want to do?" Ina said as she looked at her brother Yoshirou, "Im sure you can come out of hospital now" she said looking around the room he was in, the room was blue... just blue and not really much detail in anything, "oooo... were do you live here!?" she said with some energy as she wanted to live with her brother and not alone, she hated being alone, suddenly a knock at the door, 3 men walked into the room, in black suits.

"Ina-san, Yoshirou-san, we've come to escort you to NERV." The first man who walked into the room turned to Yoshirou. "The doctor told us you're in a stable condition, but nonetheless, take it easy kid, we don't want to be responsible for you dropping dead on the way."

Suddenly, Yori barged into room, pushing the men from the room. "Get the hell outta' my way! Yoshirou!?" He screamed. "Yoshirou!"

"Hey! Yori, get the hell out of the way, man!" The two guards behind the first man grabbed Yori, holding him back from Yoshirou. "Calm down! Comon'!"

Yori stopped finally. "What's going on here!?" He said, breathing heavily, his skin hot, and breath the smell of alcohol.

One of the men sighed, letting him go. "Drinking again?" He asked, pettily. Man, this guy is like a bottle of beer himself.

Yori turned to the man. "Shut your mouth!" He turned back to Yoshirou. "You alright, man?" He finally noticed Ina. "Who's the cute girl?" He chuckled, drunkily. "You not cheating on Rei are you?"

Kikan nodded in agreement "Yeah, but I don't think they'll do that." he was unsure if that was true. It would be pretty strange to have guys in suits tailing them. "Besides they're really lazy. They probbably had to be paid double wages for them just to get up and talk to us."

"Cheating on Rei?, who is Rei?" said Ina confused, she looked at Yori, "you need a shave......" she said jokingly to him.

Yori walked slowly towards Ina. "You know babe, if I was just 10 years younger..." He chuckled, sloppily. "You'd be mine." He smiled at her with drunkily warmth.

Jun sighed. "Yori, sit your drunk *** down!" He said, critically. "You can't be a guardian if you're always drunk!"

Yori sighed. "Whatever...." He sat down. "Yoshirou... I'll tell you what, you got a hot sister."

Jun stepped infront of Yori. "Don't mind him! Please, ma'am!" He said to Ina, sincerely. "I'm sorry for his... slopiness while in business."

The agents nodded at Yoshirou. "Yeah, let's go." As they started to leave, Jun turned to Yoshirou. "So, how was it? Fighting that rogue EVA?"

Yori called after Ina. "Hey, I always knew if Yoshirou had a sister she'd be hot!" He chuckled, half-alseep, half awake. His intoxication was about to put him to sleep.

Yori didn't reply, the alcohol had cast its spell, and he was being pulled to sleep. "I'll see you... later girlfriend..." He said, falling all the way into sleep.

Jun closed the door. "Finally..." He turned to Yoshirou and Ina. "So... you guys are brother and sister." He smiled. "Cute." They began walking, Jun, Ina, and Yoshirou walking behind the other two agents. "Don't worry, we'll protect you." He smiled, assuringly. "It's why we're here."

"And last time this happend i had to break someone's arm to stay alive..." Yoshirou replied very quickley to Jun's comment about being safe, he never trusted any of these NERV fellows bar the nice captin who he smoked with that once.

"What do you mean, BROKE SOMEONES ARM?!" Ina looked at Yoshirou, "You promised me no fighting! you know what happend last time!!" she said enranged with emotions.

Jun arched an eyebrow. The kid... has mixed emotions towards us... Makes since... I guess. "Look," Jun said, warmly. "The guys who tried to kidnap you were from a terrorist organization... They always try to imposter us NERV agents... And unfortunately... they are quite successful in their attempts..."

"Hurry up! Wouldja!?" Cried one of the two NERV agents up in front. "We need to get to NERV, now!"

"ok ok we coming" yoshirou said as they left the hospital front and into the car that they had waiting for Yoshirou and Ina.

"you still didn't explain what you ment about breaking someones arm!" Ina said angerly at her brother.

"What would you off prefer'd loosing me?!" he stopped what he was about to say next, "Just drop it ok?" he said looking at his Sister in the eye, "What happend in russian school's stays there... you know as well as i do it was an accident." he said then he got into the car with the NERV agents.

Ishi raised his hands to the sky, smiling, lightly. “The next monolith of God approaches. A few days… and this one will be upon the planet…” He looked out to the wilderness suborn of Tokyo-3. “Anti-EVA… and… Tokyo Org… two terroristic factions fueled by hate, religious strife… and greed. How will this happen? When the next angel attacks… everyone will be active… My kind…” He touched his chest when he said this… “…The humans…” He thought of Shinji. “…and… those beings that are in-between…” He thought of Megami, and both terrorist groups. “What will happen? How will this unfold…? Should I play any role in this?” He asked himself, looking at sky still. No, maybe he was asking the approaching angel. His eyes widened as he was answered. “You… you say destruction!? You say join you in destruction!?” Ishi’s face suddenly became constricted with a mighty anger. “You… are wrong!” He looked at the ground, a tear of frustration falling from his face. “I’ve… been working hard… learning what it is to be human… letting their emotions run over my body… letting their mental minds mold in my own dimencious universe… and I see…” He looked up at the sky. “I see that I want to be like them! A human! I want to exist alongside Shinji Ikari! I want to be his friend! I want the love of the humans and to exist on Earth with them forever! Not…!” He looked back down at the sky, regaining his perplexion. “Not… the annihilation of Earth… The humans…” He nodded with a slight smile, his hands calling the clouds to cover the phone-line that was the sky. The other side, from space, had been cut-off, relinquished… abandoned, and betrayed. I see… so this is how it’s going to be now…? He closed his eyes, smiling to himself. These developments are exciting…! He looked down from the mountainside, towards Tokyo-3. “Shinji-kun… how are you fairing?”

“So… that one EVA caused this damage, huh?” Maya looked out over the underlying factions of Central Dogma. EVA-04 had damaged and partly destroyed lots of area, just from its eruption from underneath NERV. She grimaced. “But not just the EVA…” She sighed. “Megami-san…”

Aoba sighed, sitting back in his chair. “Yeah… I can’t believe that was her…” He sighed. “It didn’t look like her… as a matter to fact… that girl we saw didn’t even… seem human!”

Maya turned to Aoba. “Atop of that… Hikari-san went missing a day before this event even happened… I hope she’s ok.” She turned to Hyuga. “…”

Hyuga acknowledged her with a sadly nod. “89% of CD and Central Command are back on-line… Hopefully by the next angel attack we’ll have the launch pads fixed.” He turned to the rising row behind them. “Commander… Ikari.” All of the staff turned to see if their commander was present. He was not.

Gendou and Fuyutsuki walked downed the hallway, slowly. Gendou smiled, looking at the floor. “Ejinathan…”

Fuyutsuki nodded. “Yes… it has been years… I wonder if his fascination with the angels has subsided.”

“That would eliminate any usefulness the man has…” Gendou said in disagreement.

Fuyutsuki chuckled, readily for Gendou’s reply. “You got me there… his madness has given us good insight on just what the EVA are, and how they work. We owe the best theories we have on the angels to him… Ejinathan-san.”

“Hmph…” Gendou said, with a sigh. He picked up his pace.

Fuyutsuki smiled, wardly. “What?” He said, pursuingly. “Did I offend you?” He walked faster to keep up with Gendou. “Of course… you helped out a lot to!”

Gendou stopped at a door. “I think we’ve talked enough; it’s time to greet the man.”

Fuyutsuki nodded. “Hm…” He looked up and down the long dark hallway, as if he were making sure no one was watching them as they entered the room. “Let’s go.”

Gendou pushed opened the door. “Ejinathan-san.” The two, being Gendou and Fuyutsuki entered the room. Both with avid expressions on their faces. Eager they were, to be acquainted with the man they were about to meet.

The ride to NERV was silent for Yoshirou and Ina. It seemed Jun had run out of words to say, as he sat next to them in an awkward silence. “…” Hm… maybe… I should just shut up and let the kids mingle… he thought to his self; his eyes closed tightly, and sweat beating on his temples.

The two NERV agents in the front seat were talking, casually, it would seem. Then one of their cell phones rang. “Hello?” The man who was passenger in the front seat asked. “Yeah… bring the Kikan Kid too?” He sighed. “Alright…” He hung up.

“What?” The other guy asked, simply.

“Damn… they want all the pilots… We gotta’ go back and get Reigan and Sohryu too.” The man said, putting his cell phone in his belt strap. “So…?”

The driver sighed. “So what?” He spat. “Call one of the other squads who are at the hospital to do it, I ain’t goin’ back.”

The car stopped, now outside of NERV. Jun smiled to Ina. “Ina-san… you have no more need to worry… you’re safe here!” He said, cheerfully. He extended a hand to help her out of the car. It’s the least I can do… He thought, giving Ina a cherished grin.

Ina looked at Jun, she gave her hand to him to help her out, "Thank you" she said, Yoshirou wasn't far behind he got out the other side, he noticed Rei go into NERV and like always he mutter'd her name under his breathe.
"Errrh you seem obbsesed with this Rei person brother" Ina said as she walked with him into NERV.

"n.. no im not" he said as he started to Blush out of control.

"I think it's cute, dont you jun?" she looked at Jun, he was in thought, she didn't carry on speaking, she wanted to get into NERV and see what it was like.

"Now the long wait......." Said Yoshioru, he saw Yori coming out of the smoking area, "Yori!" he shouted.

Kikan nodded "Yeah. Of course." he smiled "I'll see you later." he rested his head back on the pillow "Hopefully, I'll be out of here soon. You be careful." he said, thinking of anti-EVA and Megami "Be safe."

Yori smashed into the NERV agent unwillingly. The NERV agent, however, pushed Yori off of him. “Get the **** off of me!” He cried. “Damn!”

Yori smashed into the ground. “Why…? Why Ina-chan!”

The NERV agent kicked his side. “Damn! You sick prick! She’s a little girl!” He and the other agent started to walk on into NERV.

Jun took his shades off. “Hm? Oh. Your synch-test may have been interrupted, but the results came through alright. You’re here to get your results… officially.” He noticed the blood. “Yo! Yoshirou, you alright?” He started to rush towards him.

Yori got up, rubbing his side. “Yoshirou!?”

The younger agents trailed behind, with Kikan. "So, punk... why'd they choose you to pilot that EVA?" They were mocking him, and they seemed to be good at it. "Your little soft-***? We read your files. Your stupid family... killed. Your sister... no where to be found. You might as well let some real men do the protecting..." They began to laugh, obnoxiously. The older agent in front did't say anything, he just jept walking, quickly.

"I will be fine thankyou Yori" he said as they bumped into Rei, who by the looks of it was waiting for us.
"Look who it is Yoshirou" Ina giggled.
"Errrr, shush!" he said as he tried to gag his sister.

Rei looked at Ina for a second, letting Ina take in her blank stare a for a moment, then she turned to Jun and Yoshirou. "I heard that that we were supposed to report back here... why is that?" She asked to Jun, more than Yoshirou.

Jun smiled, plausidly. "Oh, Ayanamei-san..." He nodded. "We have your synch-test results..."

Rei turned away. "Oh..." Still, she didn't start walking. She was going... to stay? I think... I want to stay close to Yoshirou... she thought. She looked back at Yoshirou, directly this time.

Jun followed suit. "Ayanamei-san?" He spat, barely managing his words.

"Sooo cute..." Ina said as she looked away from the entrance of NERV and at jun, "so if the pilots are here for there results... why am i here, im no pilot!?"

Jun chuckled. "You... Ms.Ina, are here for two reasons." He bent down, patting her on the head. "You have no where to stay... and... you can also pilot your brother's EVA."

Rei took out a bandage. "I carry these with me... just in case." She placed the bandage over Yoshirou's wound. "This should help it heal faster... NERV... manufactured it." After she finished putting it on, she looked up to Yoshirou's. Their faces... lips, were just inches apart.

Yori looked from Rei & Yoshirou to Ina & Jun. "Damn..." He pouted. "Everyone but me..." He puffed on his cigarette.

Suddenly, as the men began to go down the stairs, a loud bang sounded, and the three agents who had been guiding Kikan were blown in two at the waste. The agent who had been walking ahead managed to dodge the bullet. "Kid!" He yelled from outside, at the base of the stairs. "Get out of here!" Kikan heard more gunshots. That agent was gonna' die if left alone. "Leave!" He fired a few shots with his handgun. "Hurry!"

The nurses and patients within the hospital began to scatter. "Did you hear that!? Someone finally a weapon!?" Someone shouted.

"Are those guys dead!?" A bewildered doctor yelled. "Hey, kid, get away from there!" Kikan saw it. The black car. The guy who attacked Asuka and Misato's apartment right before the last angel attack. He smiled, his automatic stil smoking. "Hey, kid." He fired at the NERV agent again, just missing him.

Rei looked at Yoshirou deeply. "Yoshirou..." She finally backed off, giving him some space. "Let's get moving." She said, blankly. Then she started deepe rinto NERV.

"I'll follow that notion!" Yori said, dejectedly. "Love... I need some..." He said weakly.

The NERV agent tried to fired at the man, but he was finally killed by the man with the automatic, taking a shot to the chest. Instant. The man laughed madily, as the car gained on Kikan. "This is the end for you, kid! This'll show those NERV bastards we mean buisness!" The man prepared to fire on Kikan, but just as he was about to fire, his head exploded into a giant sloppy mess of blood and tissue.

"Geez..." A man said, coming out of the shadows. "How did they get pass the checkpoint with weapons like that?"

Another man came from across the road, fired two shots, blowing out two of the car's tires, and sending the car off the side of a cliff. He watched cascade down the hill side and explode in an intense explosion down at the base of the cliff. "It's simply ridiculous..." He said, reservedly. "But also very loquashises...." He turned to Kikan. "Alright?" He asked, cooly. Kikan could feel the heat off of the car's explosion. And the see that guy's head... or what was left of it. The two men didn't seem to care. "Reigan?" The man asked again. "Alright?" He began to walk towards him. "We're from NERV. We're part of the ELITE patrol."

Kikan stared at them "I can see why." he said finally "What's going on? Why the hell is it that wherever I go, someone is always trying to kill me?" he walked towards them "Doesn't matter. Let's just go to NERV." he didn't say it in a commanding way, more of a resigned suggestion.

One of the elite-guardsmen appraoched Kikan. "Yes. Good plan." He bowed, his long black hair falling perfectly over his face. He stood straight up again. "I will enjoy working with you... Kikan-san... until we reach NERV." He put away his pistol, smiling soundly. Something about him made Kikan feel uneasy. It would make anyone seem uneasy. "My name is Temaru."

The other man approached. He was identicle to the other man. Tall, rather thing, with an odd air about him... but his hair was white. "My name," he said, bowing, "...is Remaru." He stood up tall, now right beside Temaru.

"Shall we go?" temaru asked to Kikan, starting towards the alley way he had emanated from.

Jun scowled. "What are you saying!? She's a young girl!" He tried to Yori again.

Yori avoided. "Comon'!" Yori called to Ina. "You know you like it, baby!"

"Stop clowning, it's so non-professional..."

Yori looked to the voice. "Who the..." It was Ritsuko. "Oh! Sempai!" He started to laugh nervously. "How is it?"

"Don't change the subject!" Ritsuko cried, putting her hands on her hips. "Where are the other pilots?"

Jun scratched the back of his head. "Delayed?"

Finally, the captain of the NERV agents stormed into the room. "We have a Tokyo-org attack confirmed southbound of the hospital! Three agents have been killed!"

Jun turned to the captain. "What!?"

Suddenly, Remaru's head exploded, and he fell lifelessly to the ground. Automatically, Temaru grabbed Kikan, jumping into the alleyway with him. "Damn!" He said, quietly. "They sent reinforcments!" He looked down the road. "Why aren't the back-up here yet!?" He turned to Kikan. "Get on that motorcycle, I'll catch up... you just get out of here!" He looked over to his dead brother. "Damn!" He took out his shotgun and started firing repeatedly at the terrorists. "GO!" He cried to Kikan. Kikan knew Temaru was a goner, fighting alone against those guys.

Yoshirou didn't move, he didn't know to go sit next to Rei, or stay were he was, he new after what happend last time.... he didn't want to loose it again.

Ina got up, and walked back over to her brother, she sat opperiste him, she smiled and started to talk to him.

Quickly she began to walk towards innerNERV. Ritsuko ran towards Yoshirou and Ina. "Get into lower NERV, under the geofront. An alarm went off.

"THIS IS A LEVEL 5 ALERT! TERRORIST THREAT IN TOKYO-3! THIS IS NOT A DRILL....*

Jun looked over to the captain, taking out his pistol. "Damn... so... the terorrists are on the move again?"

The captain nodded. "Yeah... It's not anti-EVA this time... it Toyko-org..."

Kikan got on the motorcycle, he had absolutely no idea how to drive one but he got on anyways "Ennk..." he accelerated, almost crashing into a wall. He tried again, this time more steady and drove towards NERV.

Temaru smiled, as he took out a block of C4. "Remaru... I'll join you." He smiled, looking at his brother's downed body. With that, he ran into the terrorists' hail of bullets. "Die!" As hundreds of bullets entered his body, the bomb went off, sending a fireball out of south Tokyo-3.

As Kikan rode the bike, the force of the explosion almost threw him from the bike. At NERV, Jun and the captain stood out front, waiting. "Where's Asuka-san!?" Jun asked, his gun cocked. "Isn't she with you?"

The captain looked at the decaying fireball. "Damn... big boom that was...."

"Ahhhh crap not again...." Yoshirou said as he got to his feat, he walked away with Ina into the lower NERV section as they were told, "But what about Rei?!" he shouted to Ritsuko, "we cant let her go alone......" he said.

Ina looked at her brother, "we must go......." she said, she pulled on Yoshiours arm, she looked away then, all she had in her and was his coat, he was gone.

Rei walked into a random room deep withing NERV. And sat against the wall inside. The room was small and appeared to be used for storage. What... am I thinking?

Yoshirou lent up against a wall near a door, he heard sounds of crying from inside, he didnt enter though, he sat there, motionless, the bandage Rei put on wasn't working anymore, and blood was seeping threw, "i cant carry on like this...." he said to himself.

Ina walked along side Ritsuko, "sooo is it true i could pilot my brothers EVA" she said smiling up at Ritsuko.

Kikan shook his head "No, she left the hospital way before I did." he looked up at Jun "Isn't she here yet?" he wasn't that worried, he knew she would probbably be fine but even so "Shall we go look for her or something?"

Jun chuckled. "I don't think so, kid. We do't even know where she is..." He sighed. "We have to get inside... it's not safe." He looked around, then sart inside of NERV. "Let's go!"

The captain nodded. "I'll cover you! Go!"

Yoshirou lent up against a wall near a door, he heard sounds of crying from inside, he didnt enter though, he sat there, motionless, the bandage Rei put on wasn't working anymore, and blood was seeping threw, "i cant carry on like this...." he said to himself.

Ina walked along side Ritsuko, "sooo is it true i could pilot my brothers EVA" she said smiling up at Ritsuko.

Rei knew Yoshirou was outside the room. "Yoshirou... his wounds!" She stood straight up and stepped out of the room. "Yoshirou..."

"Hey Rei....." he was hardley awake, he lost so much blood... he looked up at her though, then back to the floor, "Thank's for the bandage... but i think i need another one" he said jokingly.

Ina looked at Ritsuko, "hey you there?" she said, "be nice if u answer me..." she looked back at Yori and winked, this be fun to torment him she thought to herself.

Rei pulled Yoshirou into the room. "Take your shirt off..." She said, searching the room for materials to use as bandages. "Don't fall asleep... no matter how tired you feel." She picked up some white toilet papers, and then nodded. "Yes." She turned to Yoshirou. "I'll kiss you..."

Yori gave Ina a sad look. "Don't tease me... please..." He sighed. "You're SO CUTE!"

Ritsuko still didn't speak. She appeared to be in deep thought, even as they entered the lift.

Ina looked at Yori "hehe ill see you later" she said, then turned her attention to Ritsuko, "answer me, answer me, answer me!" she said over and over, then stopped "gah forget it!"

Rei quickly applied the makeshift bandages. "Yoshirou..." She said, as she finished applying them. "I... think I love you?" She blushed deeply as she said this, of course. Is this true? The words I speak? What is love? Am I capable of love? Am I allowed to express these feelings?

Shinji rubbed his eyes "What's going on? Are the angels attacking?" he got up "Or is it something else?" he said yawning.

Misato sat down, next to Shinji. "No... more of those hackjob terrorists... They attacked the hospital... Kikan and Asuka were there.... last I heard anyway." She stood up. "You ready to go, Shinji?"

Shinji noticed as he ran, a blue haired girl standing against a wall, smirking at him. But the instant he had seen her, she was gone. Still, he heard her words. "Ikari... peek-a-boo!!!" After that, it was normal, just a bunch of NERV agents and personel running around in organized chaos.

Megami stormed through NERV, as fast as she could. "Mapping the area for Leader is a simple mission... since time moves so slow!" She smiled, as she came into EVA-08's chamber. "So this is the chamber of Unit 08?" She chuckled. "Pathetic." She stormed out of the room. "Next!" As she ran, she frowned. "Where is... that person?" Kikan...! She thought, angrily.

"lol bye Yori" she said as her and Ritsuko enter'd the lift, it was going down, she heard Yori say something, but not quite sure what.

Rei turned away from him. "I'm... leaving." She walked out of the room, leaving Yoshirou alone. I don't know that I was thinking... if my actions were... correct. I don't know... but was... was I happy? She hurried to a staircase that went even deeper into NERV. I don't know... I don't know! Yoshirou could hear her footsteps fade. She was walking quickly.

Yori called after Ina. "Wait for me!!! Ina-chan!" When the lift was gone, Yori began to pout. "This isn't fair! Why didn't they wait for me!?" He ran to the next lift and pushed in the commands for Central Dogma. "They wo't get rid of me that easily!" Ha! I'll catch up with em'! He thought; his confidence couldn't be stronger. In Yori, that was a flame that just couldn't be extinguished.

Suddenly, a voice came outside. Ritsuko heard immediately. "Infiltrating this place is so easy!" Megami sat in the center of the hallway, outside the room the others were in. She took out a small cell phone. "Hey... Yes. It's me!" She shouted, with a certain anger.

Ritsuko arched an eyebrow. "What?" She slowly reached for her pistol.

Megami sighed. "Yeah... I've gotten most of the exposed base! Central Dogma is next..." Silence. "What!? Why!?" More silence. "Fine!" Megami hung up and smashed the fun into her plug suit. The cellphone seemed to be absorbed into the suit. Megami frowned, kicking the door next to her in. But I still haven't found that bastard!!!

Ritsuko screamed as the door smashed into her, continuing on into the wall. She screamed again as she was smashed against the wall. Megami heard these screams and looked into the room with a dense look on her face. "Huh?" When she saw Yoshirou, she chuckled. "Well... well!" She chuckled. "If it isn't Yoshi..." She chuckled, gleefully.

She said, thinking of Kikan as she spoke. "But then again... I'm not the one to follow orders... maybe I'll just kill all you losers." She smiled at him coldly. "Can't you feel it? I'll tear into your wound and watch you bleed to death, while screaming in agony." He turned to his sister. "And she would just be screaming... watching you die." Megami began to laugh, evily. "Get over here." Megami flashed stepped infront of Yoshirou, and jacked him up by the throat. "I'd love to make your cute sister cry by killing you in front of her..." Her eyes widened, a craze coming across her face. "I'd love too!" She tightened her grip.

Yori looked around the area, then focused on Megami. "Hey Yoshirou!" He smiled. "I see you met up with Ms. ***** here..." He waved at Ina. The agents with Yori took out their pistols.

One of the agents took out a communicator. "Target found! Sendback to Sector 4-C, immediately!"

Megami looked at her hand, the dark blue-blood that slithered from her hand. "My... blood?" She looked up at Yoshirou, a blank look on her face. "You... made me bleed!?" Suddenly, a white-pale rage filled her eyes. "I'll kill you!" She turned to Yori, who had taken out a handgun. "I'll you all!" Before they could fire, she rushed out of the room, at super speed.

Suddenly, it was silent. The girl was gone. Peace had returned. Yori ran over to Yoshirou. "Yo! Yoshirou!? You alright?!" He looked over to Ina. "Ms. Ina?"

Ritsuko lifted the door off of herself, rubbing her bruised arm. "Damn..." She said, in pain.

Yori looked back to the agents. "Hey! Help me!"

The agents dropped their weapons. "...Sir..." They seemed to be twitching... blood ran down from their lips.

Yori arched an eyebrow. "Huh?" The men moaned as their bodies fell in two. "Oh ****!" Yori yelled, jumping back. Their blood quickly spread across the floor. "Dammit!" Yori yelled.

An agent stormed into the room, immediately heading for Ritsuko. "Dr. Akagi!" Blood spilled from his mouth. "We were cut off, trying to get here! GAH!" He fell in half.

Ritsuko looked at his body in horror. "!?" She shrieked. "What's gong on!?"

Yori cursed, running into the hallway. "What's going on!" When he looked down the hallway, his eyes widened. "Oh ****!" He said, outlandishly. "That voracious *****!" In front of him, countless numbers of NERV agents way on the ground, dismembered and cut into hundreds of pieces.

Ina screamed as she felt the blood on the floor, and saw the blood coming from her brothers mouth, "Yori!!!!!" she screamed.

Yoshirou got to his feet, and staggerd out of the room, he then actully ran down to a lower level of NERV, Megami didn't notice him as she was half way through tearing of the limbs of another NERV agent.

As Megami finished killing the last of the agents, she dodged as another group fired a wave of bullets at her. "Dammit!" She stormed pass the men, killing some, and headed for the staircase. "I have to get out of here!" She screamed, storming through NERV at light speed. Instantly, she seemed to be outside of NERV completely, and then, out of Tokyo-3 completely. She finally stopped in the woods. "Dammit..." She said, looking down at her blood covered plug suit. "I was caught... didn't map central dogma..." She closed her eyes. I also didn't find Kikan... She sighed, then dissapeared into the woods.

Yori turned to Ina. "Ina, get over here!" He raised his pistol. "Now!"

Ritsuko felled on her knees. "Where... is back up?" She asked, blankly.

"Dammit! She's in shock!" Yori spat, walking towards Ina. "Ina, I need you to do something for me..." He said, putting his arm around her back. "This is pretty damn important too... so don't mess up, please."

Yori sighed, looking at Ina sadly. "Hell, can't I atleast kiss you?" He asked, flatly.

The agents that Megami had spared rushed into the room. "Dr. Akagi!" They cried, running towards Ritsuko. They didn't seemed to care about Yori and Ina at all. "We've secured the sector, but we have severe casualties... they're atleast in the fifites!"

As Yoshirou way on the ground, a couple of NERV agents happened across him. "Damn! Get this boy to the infirmary!" They picked him up. "Boy! Wake up! BOY!"

Rei watched from some dark place in the distance. "Yoshirou..."

Yori got rubbed his chin where Ina had just kissed him. "It ain't that bad..." He smiled. "But that ain't the problem... I have to get you out of here.. this ain't a place for a pure-hearted girl like yourself." He turned to the NERV agents. "Take care of things here."

One of them nodded. "Yeah, don't worry about it."

Yori looked back at Ina. "Let's go..." He reached out for her hand. Please grab it! He thought, hopefully.

Oh. My. God. I'm walking and holding hands with Ina! He almost didn't hear her question. "Yoshirou?" He chuckled. "I'm sure he can take care of himself..." He looked at her, a smug grin on his face. "Why don't we go to the local pub?" He laughed a bit. "There are no terrorist there, and you need a change of scenery don't you?" As he said this, they were walking pass the dead NERV agents. Their body had been covered with cloths, but the blood shown through in red and moist patches.

The nurse behind the desk looked at Ina, she was still in fear. "I'm sorry little girl... he left with a couple of NERV agents... but they were attacked as they left the building... I don't... we don't know where he is..." She began to cry lightly, looking at the doctor's dead body in the corner of the room.

Yori had finally caught up. "Ina!"

Ina turned and ran into Yori hugging him tightly, "Yoshirou isn't here" she wept, "were could he be....." she said to Yori... her tears ran down her face, her pale skin shinned with the tears.

Yoshirou woke up........ he was still fading in and of unconsciousness, finally a NERV agent walk into the door, he started to talk to Yoshirou but all he got was, "There is someone here to see you....." and "You need this injection"

Yori looked down at Ina, his eyes widened. "Woah!" He put a hand on her hair, softly. "Calm down..." he said, lightly. "I don't like seeing you like this... So... please. I pretty sure Yoshirou is just back at NERV. We got an infirmary there... so..."

A couple of NERV agents walked into the hospital. "Hey, Yori-san!"

Yori turned to them, still embracing Ina. "Yeah, what is it?"

"We got this place under control... but we need you to leave. The UN is moving in... it might get rough..."

Yori nodded. "Yeah..." He turned back to Ina. "Comon'... Ina."

Yori began to run. "Comon'! We have to get back to NERV before the UN arrives!" Once those guys get here, they're going to bully us around! As they came upon NERV, he looked back up the street. The UN's first tanks were rolling into town. "Wonder if they're gonna' set curfew... these are some pretty serious attacks..." He said, causally. "Ina... I don't think we're gonna' be able to leave NERV afer we go in... sure you don't wanna' hang at my place? The UN isn't known for their hospitality, if you know what I mean..."

Meanwhile In the room of Yoshirou the docture finished stiching him up, "there we go...." he said looknig at Yoshirou's body, he was just waking up, suddenly the door flew open and someone walked in.

Yori stood, his hands in his pockets. "Luckily, I took the time to learn English..." He said lazily. "Why are you guys here, anyways? We don't need help."

The UN men smiled. "What do you mean? It's NERV HQ who called us here! Looks like you guys can't handle a few teorrorists. Typical of Japs."

Yori stepped forward. "What'd you say bastard!?" He raised a fist.

The UN man stepped back. "Now, now, we don't want a fight, little man! We came to help!"

"Who's little!?" Yori spat, threatening to attack them at anytime.

"Yoshirou..." Rei looked down at him again. Why do I do this? I appear to him... and leave so randomly... why aren't I sure?

The NERV agent nodded. "Well then... I'll be on my way."

The UN men finally moved on, fancying Yori a smart disrespectful smile. Yori turned to the doctor. "Huh?"

The doctor stared at the UN men for a little while, then turned his attention to Ina. "Oh... you must mean Yoshirou. He's fine, he'll be able to leave tomorrow... but he needs rest now." The doctor looked at his watch. "Man... look at the time, I have to go now, sorry Miss!" The doctor hurried back into the infirmary.

Rei sat down next to Yoshirou. "I... don't know how I should act in these situations..." She looked away from him as she said this.

Gendou and Fuyutsuki walked downed the hallway, slowly. Gendou smiled, looking at the floor. “Ejinathan…”

Fuyutsuki nodded. “Yes… it has been years… I wonder if his fascination with the angels has subsided.”

“That would eliminate any usefulness the man has…” Gendou said in disagreement.

Fuyutsuki chuckled, readily for Gendou’s reply. “You got me there… his madness has given us good insight on just what the EVA are, and how they work. We owe the best theories we have on the angels to him… Ejinathan-san.”
“Hmph…” Gendou said, with a sigh. He picked up his pace.

Fuyutsuki smiled, wardly. “What?” He said, pursuingly. “Did I offend you?” He walked faster to keep up with Gendou. “Of course… you helped out a lot to!”

Gendou stopped at a door. “I think we’ve talked enough; it’s time to greet the man.”

Fuyutsuki nodded. “Hm…” He looked up and down the long dark hallway, as if he were making sure no one was watching them as they entered the room. “Let’s go.”

Gendou pushed opened the door. “Ejinathan-san.” The two, being Gendou and Fuyutsuki entered the room. Both with avid expressions on their faces. Eager they were, to be acquainted with the man they were about to meet.

"Well... If it isn't you my old friend" Ejinathan replied after the door was opened.
Gendo stare at Ejinathan...." Are you alright sir ?"( Fuyutsuki)...

Ejinathan starts a conversation " You know that you can't take the risk, do you ?"

Gendo smiled a little sarcastic

" As far i'm concerned all humanity takes risks" (Gendo)

Ejinathan stood up
" Just let me know you that it won't take her back"(Eji)
"I'm sorry but i got to go, i promised my daughter to take her up" (Eji)

Gendo replied "you helped us to were we came to, so atleast i could thank you. you know also that because of that you're bonded to you're work aswell"

Gendou smiled as Eji walked for the door. "The key to the angel... the key to humanity... and over all... the key to the world."

Fuyutsuki looked at Gendou, unsurely. "So... your intentions haven't changed, eh?"

Suddenly, a NERV agent entered the room. "Exuse me, sir..." He said to Eji. "Commander!?"

Gendou nodded. "What is it?"

"The UN has arrived sir! They responded to terror attack on one of the EVA pilots."

Gendou looked to Fuyutsuki. "I see..." He nodded to Fuyutsuki.

Fuyutsuki nodded. "I'll take care of this!" He said to the agent, walking towards the door.

Gendou sat down in a chair. "These developments..."

"PERVERT!!!!" *slaps* Ina got up and ran off, she went to the infirmary, she sat in the lobby there, "jesus you give someone a kiss on the cheak and next they want their way with you......" she mutterd.

Yoshirou looked at Rei.... "You must know what you want...." he said, he looked away, out the window and saw all the U.N troops corner of the city, he turned back to look at Rei, "You know how i feel......" he looked away as he started to blush.

"W....what?!" Yoshirou was pleasanlty supprised with what Rei said..... he was wearings just his jeans, as the docture didnt put the top back on, he started undoing them, i wounder why Rei is doing this... i hope she doesn't bolt again.... he took them off, leaving them at the bottom of the bed, he looked back over at Rei... then he closed his eyes and lay down.

"Why are men all the same..." Ina said as she started to hit the floor, "gah forget this, im gonig look around" she got up and ran off into NERV, she came across many places on her visit, but in the end came back to the lobby.

Rei nodded. "I thought so." Suddenly, Yoshirou felt pain on his leg. "You had a... conciled wound. You've cut." He felt the bandages wrapping around his leg. "It was bad... but..." She stood. "You'll be fine..."

As Ina was coming back into the lobby, a UN man came towards her. "You there!" He shouted, withdrawing an automatic weapon. "Do you have clearence to be in this facility!?" He glared at her with uneccasary anger. "Well!?"

Ritsuko walked over to Yori, "Im thankyou for your concern" she said looking at Ina, "im sorry for ignoring you earlier, the answer is yes you may beable to use your brothers EVA" she looked back over at Yori, "we have finally fixed the new weapon...... i was told to tell Yoshirou as he is the one to be using it." Yori noddd to what Ritsuko said.

Ina looked up at Ritsuko, "Sooooo you going to see my brother?! am i allowed to come with you!" she said as she wanted to see if her brother was ok.

Shinji tried to say something to Misato "It's her!" he called weakly to her. He looked around if he could see her again. He wondered if he was going crazy. Maybe he'd been hit on the head too hard.

Misato stopped. "What?" She looked around. "Who?" Maybe Shinji took more trauma than I thought in the last battle. She frowned at him, a pitiful look on her face. "Shinji..." She put her arm around his shoulder. "Let's go... Just... take it easy."

As Kikan, Jun, and the captain transversed the infinite stairs of NERV, their was a gigantic slashing sound from the hallway below. From the foot of the stairs, blood splattered on the third and second steps, and a severed hand landed on the first step. Jun smashed Kikan against the wall. "Get down!" He aimed his gun downstairs, and smashed himself up against Kikan. "Don't move!" The captain did the same. In that instant, the cold air of the deep NERV corridor blew past them with a hurricane furiosity. Jun and the Captain fell over in the intense burst of gust, but Kikan managed to stand. In that instant, he say just a small whisp of a blue figure rush by, in that split of a fraction of time... Megami. Luckily, she didn't seem to see him.

Misato sighed. "Shinji..." Before she could say another word, a heavy wind began to blow down the hallway. A techie who was carrying a mountain of papers lost control and they blew all throughout the hallway, fast enough to become paper razors. Before anyone could react, something zoomed by, too fast to even makeout, past a blue smudge that was moving quickly. The wind almost blew Shinji down... and suddenly, it was all gone. Misato, who had been cut by the paper in multiple places. "Shinji! Shinji!"

Jun grabbed his leg. "You'll just die, kid!"

The captain got up. "What the hell was that!?"

Jun got up. "Forget it! We have to get the hell out of here!" As he said this, he looked down the stairs, at the severed hand. "Kikan! We're going back up those stairs, but not after that thing!"

Misato stared into Shinji eyes, a certain horror about her. “You mean…” Her voice was slow to come out, soft and cautious. “Shinji… is it Megami?” She looked at him with a certain concentration and drive in her eyes. If it’s Megami… we’ve got to inform the superiors… that girl… can a human move that fast?! She placed both hands on Shinji’s shoulder. “Shinji… tell me. Are you sure!?” She had decided, she would place her trust in the boy. If he confirms, I’ll inform the NSI… Misato reached for her pistol, taking a hand off of Shinji.

“Stay behind me!” Jun lead the way, leading the captain and Kikan to a corner. “Wait!” He whispered to them. He checked the corners, turning each edge with his pistol leading the way. I wonder if any terrorists have infiltrated the base! Where the hell is the UN!? “It’s clear!” He began to sprint again. “Let’s go!”

The captain carried his gun, looking back. Never know when these pricks will attack your back… He thought, as he followed Jun around the corner. “Hey! Jun! How far to the next stronghold!? It ain’t safe out here!”

Jun looked back to Kikan and the Captain. “What?” He looked back up the corridor. “I don’t know,” he smashed against another wall at a corner. “Sector G-4, is the closest base sector. The next stronghold should be around here somewhere.” As they rounded the last corner, the alarms finally went off. News of the attack had just been passed on to CD. Jun shook his head. “Took them this long to get the intel!?”

The captain sighed. “Must be because of the attack was so quick!” Jun stopped running, causing the captain to smash into him. “Hey, what the hell!?” The captain yelled, his rusty voice cleaving the air like grinding metal.

Jun appeared to ignore the captain. “Hey! Major Katsuragi! Shinji-kun! Hey!” He waved happily at them. “It’s us!”

The captain turned to Kikan. “Damn… by the looks of it… that girl came this way too.” His words were supported by the state of the hall, and the people in it. Shredded papers were strewn throughout the room, plants were overturned from the once civil displays at the wall sides. Worst than the state of the room, was blood. People seemed to have been sliced… some badly. Misato even had a few cuts.

Misato turned to Kikan, the aptitude of her focus deepening rapidly as an intensifying storm. So… It’s true… Megami… has returned. Misato picked up her communicator. “This is Major Katsuragi! I am confirming the infiltration of NERV by Tetsurada Megami!” The person she was speaking replied. “Yes! I’m sure!” She put the communicator away. “Shinji…”

Suddenly, a giant group of Soldiers entered the room. “Hands up!” They shouted. On their camouflage shirts, was in white text UN.”Now! On the floor!” They rushed forward, charging the group.

Jun dropped his gun, getting on the floor. “We have to listen.” He looked at Kikan when he said this. “Get down.”

Misato nodded at Shinji. “We have to get down… Shinji.”

The soldiers approached them. “Are there any enemies in the vicinity…!?”

Jun shook his head. “No… she’s probably escaped by now.”
The UN soldier chuckled. “So you idiot Japanese couldn’t even stop one female spy? Typical… and she murdered over fifty men. Pathetic!” He turned away. “Alright! We got this sector secured, let’s back up!” With that, the man set out, his unit following him.

“Coming?” Another UN man said, rudely.

Misato got up, eyeing the men as they followed them. “Bastards…”

"well im flatter'd" Ritsuko said as they walked into Yoshirou's room, "Hey Yoshirou you awake?" she said to him as she sat on the chair next to him, Yori lent against the wall trying to look cool, but it failed badley.

"Yes... i am Ritsuko......" he said as he looked at her, "Do you need me?" he said looking at the paper work she had on her lap, he started to read it, Prog weapon, in development.. he was cut short by his sister running into the room.

"Brother!!!!" she dived on to the bed and hugged him, "I thought u was going to die" she started to cry, What would i do without u brother. she thought to herself about all the times he helped her......

"Anyway.... lets carry on" Ritsuko said looking at her notes, "Yoshirou, you have been choosen to test out he new prog proto-type weapon..... what do you think?" she said looking at him.

"I... i would be honner'd......" Yoshirou said, looking back at his sister, then at Yori..... "Thankyou for looking after my sister...."
Yori blushed a little. “It’s not a problem, I enjoyed looking after you sister, Yoshirou…” He smiled. And she kissed me like three times! And hugged me once!

Jun slowed down a little, so that he could walk on pace with Kikan. “The UN may be hard to deal with… but we need them.” He said, lowly. “We can’t take care of the terrorists with just our own NERV agents, y’know.” Their walk was almost over. In the distance, Kikan could see the lobby of the entrance-level hall for NERV.

Misato turned watched the ground as they walked. “What’s going on…?” She looked towards Shinji. “Why… is this happening? Why? During the angels… we should be helping each other… we shouldn’t be killing each other…” Shinji could feel the empty direction of her voice. She wasn’t talking to him. She was speaking her thoughts out loud… and they made since. Why were they all killing each other… The angels were the monsters… but… were they? Really?

Yoshirou got up, and slipped his top back on, "Urgh..... well that was quick..." he said looking at Ritsuko, "When will i test the new prog Weapon..." he ask her.

"Soon, but at the moment you need to rest up, you are in no condition to pilot EVA" she said, "Now come on, lets get back to the lobby"

“Excuse me…” Fuyutsuki walked into the room, accompanied by Kaji. “This is a disaster… with the UN here, we’ve been forced to cease all operations…” He turned to Ritsuko. “The Dead Sea Scrolls predict the next angel… but I think we should relocate all the pilots home.” He turned to Kikan and the others. “Stay in touch. If the angel appears, we’ll need you.”

Kaji waved from the distance. “Hey, Misato, Ritsuko-san!”

Yori sat, looking as angry as ever. "What!? Ina get's sent to Misato, and Kikan gets Maya!" He sighed. "This is bull crap! I say Ritsuko should've gotten Kikan..."

Fuyutsuki turned to Yori. "Fine. Since you wanna' mouth off to your superiors... I'll send him yourway." He smiled. "Now you have to responsibilities." With that, he walked away.

Fuyutsuki sighed. "Don't be reckless. Without protection, you will be killed. Make no mistake about that." He stared at Kikan irately. "Remember that before you make your decisions." He turned to Yori and Misato. "I'm heading back to Central now, I bid you safe travels..." With that, he descended a lift with a few UN commandos, giving Kikan a nasty glare.

Yori looked at Kikan, coldly. "You're coming with us, even if I have to force you. It's orders."

"Kikan!?" Everyone turned to the entrance to see Asuka. She stood there, surrounded by to UN men. "What's going on?"

Yori sighed. "Look, you little..." Suddenly, he stopped, staring at Kikan for a while. He stared, silently, then after a long while spoke. "Whatever... Yoshirou... we're going to the bar, I need a damn beer." He seemed to be back to his old self again. As he and Yoshirou headed out of the door, he looked back to Ina. "I'll see ya' later!" He cried, strangely. Damn... I let that part of me get out again... I need to watch it... He thought, as he looked back to Ina, waving.

Ina stood up and waved back, "Bye brother, Bye Yori!!" she sat back down next to Shinji and smiled, "sooooo.... Why did you pilot EVA?" she looked at him with intrest.

Yoshirou was outside now walking with Yori, "Wow, why didn't you hit that Kikan kid again...." he laughed, "He seems such a idiot...."

Asuka correaned towards Kikan, jumping into his arms. "I missed you so much!" She cried out. "I went home for a nap and all of asudden this city is overun by the UN..."

Ritsuko looked around, She ran out of the NERV lab and back into the main lobby, she saw Misato, "Misato!! you must see this!!!!" she said, she showed her the note, "see... even our own NERV agents are helping these terroists....."

Kikan struggled with himself for a moment "Ennk..." he didn't know what to say, maybe this was why the terrorists found it so easy to track the pilots and get passed defences. Shinji couldn't think of anything to say either, it was quite shocking.

Jun turned to Kikan. "Kikan... I need you to be calm. You're staying with me, I'm not gonna' let you go it alone out there... it's too dangerous now." He turned to Misato and the others. "Be very careful... I'll call a car to guide you home, it's not safe."

The captain, who had remained silent at ears, finally spoke up. "A3, huh? The whole dang block is affilited with Tokyo-org..." He turned to Jun. "Lt. Jun, call squadrons A1 and 2, get B and C here too!"

Jun nodded. "Yeah. I will."

"This is bad..." The captain said, pacing towards the infirmery. "They've infiltrated into NERV... they know everything!"

The alarms at NERV had silenced since Megami's attack, but now they refired, with the news of A3 uncovered. A group of NERV agents, deep withing NERV were walking quickly down a hall. "So, we've finally been uncovered." The man walking infront snickered, rash. "We're way down here... we'll have to kill our way up." He took out an automatic. "Luckily, the ammunition vault is right here."

The captain walked to the UN soldiers, who were standing in a distinct group, segregated from the normal NERV personel. "You hear the alarms!" He spat, in accurate English. "We have to work together. It's search and destroy, boys."

"Who do you think you are?" One of the men shouted. "Just who, midget?"

The captain frowned. "This is no time for us to fight..." Suddenly, the rumble of an explosion rocked the lobby, shutting the captain up, and bending the ignorance of the UN men to nothing. Suddenly, an unclear voice filled the air, in English. "Sir... Sir! This is Aaron Mitchell, sir! We're being massacred down here! They...." The signal from the UN men's communicator went out for a second. "Clemens! Brown! McGruber! They're all dead!"

"Who's attacking!" The UN man with the communicator shouted into the reciever, a look of fear and unbelief on his face. "Who!?"

"NERV men, sir! They've betrayed us..." Suddenly, the man screamed, as the sound of bullet fire overcame the receiver." When the signal went all the way out, the NERV men looked at the captain alertly, then drew their weapons on him.

"Wait!!!" He said, putting his hands up in the air. "It's not what you think!"

The commander of the UN unit stepped forward. "Then just what is, sir? How you gonna' explain why your men just fired on and executed my men?" He loaded his rifle. "My comrades, and friends!" He yelled, irately.

The captain cursed. Damn, this is all part of their failsafe to escape!
"You have to believe me!" He said, throwing his arms forward. His quick notice movies almost caused the men to fill him with holes, so he stopped moving immediately afterword. "They're spies! They infiltrated our base and joined as NERV agents!"

The UN commander lowered his gun. "What!?" His angered seemed to only grow. "You defenses suck this badly, you dumb jap!?"

The captain shook his head. "Sorry, but I we can do now is fight back!"

"How can tell the difference!?" The commander shouted. "Don't all you asian agents look the same!?"

"If they shoot at you, kill em'!" The captain shouted back.

Jun looked at the argument in detail, then looked back to Misato, Kikan, Ina, and Shinji. "Guys!" He shouted, running towards them. "Get out of here, now! It's dangerous!"

...

Yori sighed as the city's terror alarm came into audio again. "Dammit... Guess the terrorists are on the move again..." He said, boredly. "Glad we left that scene... think Ina is ok?" It only took him a second to realize what he had just said, then he jumped to his feet. "Yoshirou! I think Ina is still at NERV! Isn't the alarm for this code level for attacks on NERV!? We gotta' go!"

Ina looked at Shinji, "are... are we going to be ok...." she said, then looked at her hands, and put her head inbetween them, "Why am i here...." she mutter'd to herself.

Yoshirou looked at Yori, "She can look after her self you know... you dont got to hold her and everywhere she goes..." he said looking at him, "Jeez someone would think you love a 14yr old...." he laughed at this as they just enter'd NERV.

Ritsuko took out a pistol she had in her desk, and put it safe inside her pocket... "i.. i might need this...." she said, "but.. i dont want to kill......" she heard a nock on the door.... 2 NERV agents enter'd carrying 2 fully automatic smg's, "It's time.... lets go, no one is safe here until we take care of unit A3"

Jun led the UN men down to block Z6. "This the sector that one of the traitorous groups has entered!"

The UN commander nodded. "Then it should be just a few of them, right?" The commander smiled. "Tony, Ross, take these boozoos out!"

"Yes Sir!" His men began a sprint around the corner, their rifles ready to fire. They ran across the hall, taking cover on either side; and after messaging eachother, they flipped the corner and began to fire. They were successful, after their attack, a NERV man fell dead.

"Lt. Jun..." He said weakly, before he fell to his knees, dead.

Jun shook his head. "Get back, it's a trap!" Too late, the A3 men came from hiding, carrying assault rifles in their hands. In seconds, the UN men were full of holes.

"No!" The commander yelled. "Tony! Ross!" Ross was dead, but Tony wasn't quite there yet. "We have to retrieve him!" He turned to Jun. "Cover me, boy."

Jun shook his head. "Don't be stupid! They have more advanced weaponry!"

The captain didn't listen, running out to his downed man. Jun cursed, then began firing at the rogue agents at the end of the hall. Tsuyaru smiled as the commander went out into the hall. "Kuriyu, take him, I'll hold off Jun."

Kuriyu nodded, a cold gleam coming off his face. "Die." He fired one shot at the commander, blowing his arm off. The commander fell to the ground, screaming in pain. "I told you to cover me Jap!" He screamed, as blood flowing from his severed arm.

Jun cursed, and as he did, the anger of the UN unit grew unbearable. The whole, six men, ran out into the hall, and fired an endless barage of bullets down the hall. Kuriyu frowned. "Tsuyaru, let's go!" They began to run, but Tsuyaru took a shot to the head. As Kuriyu rounded the corner, he cursed. "Damn... It's going to be hard to escape!"

The UN men stood over their commander. "Sir!"

The commander looked down at his now dead comrade, Tony. "Dammit! Get those bastards!!!" He turned to his men. "Don't just stand there... go!"

Jun nodded. "Yeah..." He turned to the captain, who had not appeared to until now. "Captain, get a med team down here stat!"

The commander smiled at Jun, as his men followed Kuriyu. "It's alright... the arm was a fake anyways..."

Jun nodded, then ran off, behind the UN men. This is really dangerous!

...

Yori stormed into NERV. "Yo!" He screamed. "Where's Ina!" He carried a loaded pistol with him, and it was drawn and ready now. Been a while since I was allowed to do this kinda' stuff... He smiled.

Misato turned to Yori. "Why'd you come back!? We need to get out of here!" She turned to Shinji and Ina. "Comon'! We're going! You too, Kikan!"

Ritsuko was now in the lobby, she ran to Yori, "we need to get them out of here..." she was implying to the kids.

He said this to all of them. "The terrorists outside have been tactically neutralized by the UN, and our own agents, you idiots. Outisde is definately safer. Should an angel attack... we'll figure a way to get you to the EVA, don't worry. Don't forget how deep NERV is. The rogues have taken over 1.5% of the base. But the remaining 98.5% is under ours. They won't get away, and they won't cause any damage." Bu tthey all knew the real problem. Spies. Spies had been inside of NERV for months... and now Tokyo-org knew what was going on.

Ina turned to Shinji, "Im sure NERV will be fine, them rouge agents are nothing compared to Yori, he would kill them all...." she said as she started to blush.

Yori and Misato were now outside. All of the action was left out at NERV, and Tokyo-3 seemed deserted. Besides the alarms in NERV, the city had grown quiet, and countless UN men roamed the roads in giant patroling packs. The sun was finally beginning to set in the distance, and the city was glowing a lonely orange.

Yori gave Yoshioru a skeptical look. "So... You like her that much?" He shook his head, smiling knowingly as they reached a corner. "I don't know... sex shouldn't be practiced until after 18..." He loved messing with Yoshirou.

Yori closed his eyes, taking the insult in fully. "I'll remember that, Yoshirou..." He said, blessingly. "Remember, you only have my house to go back too..." He smiled, darkly. "I know where you put your head down everynight."

"What's up?" He asked, idiotically.

"This is where we split." Misato exclaimed, pointing towards the NERV parking lot. "We have to go... take care..." Misato looked back to NERV, Ritsuko... don't get hurt... please.

Asuka had been walking beside Kikan, keeping her mouth shut, but now she was on to Yoshirou. "Hey! What'd you say about my Kikan?" She smiled, coldly. "You're from Russia, right? 'Cause you're rushin' for a beating!"

Misato sighed, watching the kids fight. Great... all the way home.

Yori finally became aware of Asuka, but he took no action, he simply looked down to Yoshirou. Wander what he'll do?

Misato grabbed Asuka away from Kikan suddenly. "Ok! Let's get you guys home!" She kepy pushing but called back. "Comon'! Ina! Shinji!"

"I'm not done with you yet!" Asuka called back to Yoshirou.

Jun led the UN commandos deeper into NERV. "Where'd that bastard go!?" He cried out. He turned back to the men. "We need to split up! NERV has to many veins! We'll never find him in one big group!" The UN men didn't fight back this time, they listened. "Groups of three! One group come with me!"

Yoshirou glanced at Asuka Stupid girl...... only if she was in Russia... she wouldn't survive... he thought darkly about that, "Asuka.... go home you are not needed..." he said then looked back at Yori, "I wouldn't threaten me mate, i am more important then you." he laughed then jumped at Yori, and put his arm around his shoulder in a friendly way.... "lets just get home...." Yoshioru said.

Ina looked at Asuka, "i got to stay with you..... help me..." she said Sighing at the thought of being with little miss gobby, "O well.... its life" she smiled at Shinji then carried on walking behind Misato.

Ritsuko found Jun in the lower floors, "Well were are they......" she said looking around... "Im.....*Bang*" a shot came past Ritsuko just missing her, and hitting the wall behind her, she hid behind the wall and looked at Jun, "i shouln't be here should i..."

Asuka's heart almost stopped at Shinji's words. "Shinji..." She said, weakly. He still cares about me...? Even after what I did...? Before a tear could roll down Asuka's cheek, she charged Shinji and pushed him back to the ground, in a fit of tangled emotions. "You're not a man, Shinji! Not one at all!" She frowned, miserably. His words... couldn't have made her feel worse. "You... still care, after what I did to you!?" Neither Misato or Yori would respond now, it was out of their hands, and into the children's. Asuka spun around now, looking at Kikan. "Kikan..." An unsure look clouded her judgment and thoughts, it seemed.

Jun pulled Ritsuko to the ground. "It's not safe here at all! What are you doing down here!" A few more bullets passed over.

Kuriyu smiled. "Happy I found you, Satsori." He said, firing another round at the oncoming targets. "Those fools won't reach us now."

Satsori took out his RPG. "Got that right, not as long as we got rocket propelled grenades!" He aimed, preparing to fired at the next corner. "Steady..."

Jun took out his pistol. "Ritsuko, just stay back, we have to take these guys out, now!" The darkness of the halls was only lifted by the red emergancy lights that constantly flickered at different degrees about the hall. The sound of gun fire and shouting... of men's death filled all of the walkways of NERV.

Ina looked at Asuka..... "let him go....." she said, then turned away, "Stupid German......" she said under her voice, then carried on walking with Misato..

Ritsuko didn't know what to do.... "Jun.... shall i go....." she said looking towards the exit.

Kikan actually laughed "It's funny. Whenever you insult us, you either hiding behind your guardian or you're running away. And by the way." he said turning to Ina, he had heard her insult "If you insult somebody say it L-O-U-D-E-R." he said in a patronzing voice. Kikan looked at Asuka, she looked like she had doubts. But he realized he didn't care. He didn't feel much love for her at all. He didn't feel much love for anyone. Apart from one person. And he didn't want to entertain that notion.

Yori finally stepped forward, lighting the cigarette he had placed in his mouth. "Alright, that's enough, you little imps." He puffed the cigar. "I had enough of your squawbling." He turned to Kikan. "You sure you don't wanna' stay with me, man?" He said, cooly. "We'll have lots of fun, I promise." He smiled at Kikan as he said this. He seemed different now, calm.

Misato stepped forward also. "Come now, enough of this fighting..." She looked at all of the children as she said this. "This is no time to be fighting... it's a time to stand strong as one." Misato said, thinking of all of the opposing forces in the world. "Angels... Terrorists..." She frowned. "We don't need civil strife." She began to walk to the car. "Yori!" She called. "Keep in touch."

Satsori fired his RPG. "GO!"

Jun noticed the yellow-hot flash approached, and dove back. "Look out! RPG!" The grenade hit, exploding just to he and Ritsuko's left. When they looked up from the explosion, they found two of the three UN men dead, blown to bits.

Yori arched an eyebrow. "Kid... You know how long its been since that angel attack don't you? If she's still there... then by now she's..." He stopped when he remembered how easy Kikan was to upset. He closed his eyes, puffing more smoke. "Whatever kid... suit yourself..." He turned to Yoshirou. "Let's go..." He began to walk, watching the Sun in the distance. "Oh... yeah." He turned back to Kikan. "Don't die, if you do, I'm gonna' get fired and sent packing from Tokyo-3." I smiled, lazily. "Life would suck without this place... it's where all the action is!" Off in the distance was the sound of machine gun fire. With that, Yori kept walking. These kids... aren't as different as everyone says they are... He thought. They argue... throw around rascist terms... Just I used to do... He chuckled to himself. Heck, I still do.

Misato slammed the door to do car, glaring at Shinji, Ina, and Asuka in the rearview mirror. "What is wrong with you guys! I have never been more embarassed in my career! Acting like that in front of a fellow officer!" She sped from the parking lot, almost hitting Kikan on the way out. She gave him a sorrowful look, then continued onto the street. "Damn... and now I have to watch you all!" She wasn't happy she was yelling at them, but she felt it had to be done.

Jun got up slowly. "Ritsuko!" He looked back to see she was gone. "Damn!"

"What do we do now!?" Jun turned to see the final UN man. "We have to take out that RPG, quick, or we're dead!"

Jun nodded. "In this case, it's in god's hands! Charge!" Both men ran into the middle of the opposing hall, ignoring all of the internal cries to stop, and for suicide. Jun fired, and so the UN man.

Satsori smiled. "Kuriyu."

Kuriyu nodded. "Yes, I'd be happy." He turned the corner and fired a couple of rounds, taking down the UN man. When he saw Jun, his eyes widened. "They sent two!?"

Jun smiled. "Die, *****." He fired one shot, and placed well.

Kuriyu's closed his eyes. So this is it... heh. His head exploded into a fountain of blood.

He hadn't realized how bad the situation was until just now. Deep within NERV, alone with Ritsuko, and only equipped with a pistol, rifle, and some acid. Still, he wasn't losing any drive. No since losing my head... He thought, as he also smashed himself against the wall, beside Ritsuko. "Ritsuko," he said, still down the hall. "If we're going to get him with the acid... then..." Another fiery sphere launched by, exploding a couple of meters down the hall. "...then we're going to have to get closer!" But just how can we do it with out getting our ***** blown off!? Jun had taken his training seriously at the training academy. He had really wanted to be an authoritative figure in NERV security. Not only that, but he had natural talent. He could see. Death would be the price to pay for one wrong step in this situation. He looked back down the hall, and then forward, towards the corner Satsori waited behind. "There's no going back..." he said aloud. "Not until we kill this one atleast. I doubt we'll see any UN men down here... their prejudice proabably got the better of them. They'll leaving us down here alone!" Jun began to grind his teeth. He had made his decision. "Ritsuko..." He said, dauntingly. "Cover me." He handed her his rifle, keeping his pistol in a pocket. "And let me go, with the acid."

"You fools would have been smart to turn back. Now that you've taken Kuriyu, however, I cannot let you simply walk." He spoke as his hand were rapidly at work, preparing another RPG. "Now..." It was fully loaded. "Prepare to die!" He readied to turn the corner. I'll make sure his death is avenged. If not for the sake of his stupidity in battle, for the respect of my comrades as a whole, and all of Tokyo-org!

Jun seemed to be hastened by Satsori's words, as he began to pace on his feet. "We have to move now... can you cover me, Ritsuko?" He might have been a braveheart, but Jun had no intention of giving his life away.

Misato kept silent at the wheel for now, until they were pulling into the apartment complex. "Ok, Shinji, since you and Ina seem to be getting along so well, you can both sleep in the same room tonight!" She was still angry as ever, it seemed. "Asuka..." She got out of the car now, perhaps standing in the warm air and humidity of the city gave her beter focus to her convictions. "We need to talk." Over the time frame of the last two days, Misato had come to realize that Asuka still had latent feelings for both Shinji and Kikan. Perhaps this is why Misato had a sudden softness to her voice when she spoke to Asuka. She almost seemed to feel sorrowful towards Asuka, rather than angry, as she was towards Ina, mostly. Shinji on the other hand, was almost as blank as ever. His lack of initiative... has resulted in his almost... neutral position... Misato thought. He hasn't... really changed much yet... he's... frail.

Asuka nodded, trying to ignore the feelings that raged inside. She felt like screaming at Ina, or hitting Shinji. She had to replace these feelings with the high and mighty cloud nine of superiority, like she had done in the beginning. She closed her eyes for a second, regaining that figure. I'm better... the best EVA pilot... I don't need anyone else beside myself... not even Kikan! She smiled now, as if she had found a sudden satifaction within herself. "I don't see why you're doing this," she said, her voice now full of valor, a valor too high to naturally exist given the situation she'd just been through. "It just jealousy. Obviously Ms. Ina can't accept the fact that I am the best pilot around here, more superior than her precious brother!" She looked to Shinji, but said nothing. She began to march towards the apartment, pass Misato. "You know what they say, Russian Pride is most amongst the fools." The funny thing was, that no one had said that before... not in anytime in history. She had just improvised her insult (it wasn't too bad, but still, considering no one had said it before, her words were quite annoying). "I'll be inside, I haven't had a decent shower in a day!"

Misato watched Asuka ascend the stairs, a puzzled look about her. "She's..." She said, with a fading tone. "She's back to normal? Why?" I get it... when she gets backed into a corner, it's all she can retaliate with. "Shinji, Ina, inside, now!" She said, firmly. Then she began to walk towards the complex as well. As they reached the stairs, she sighed. "So many things... are started to become troublesome." She said to herself. The day was coming to an end however, and with each warm breeze that pushed the Sun down the horizon,the problems of today seemed to become more and more of a tomorrow problem. She sighed as she realized this, an internal, warm sigh. Perhaps we should all just relax for now... for tonight, that is. She opened the door to their room, then walked inside, leaving the dorr open for Shinji and Ina. Asuka was already in the shower. Surprising... how fast they repaired this place after last angel fall. Asuka seemed to have turned on the lights, so Misato proceeded to the living room, matting herself infront of the TV, on her broken in furniture. "Make youself at home..." She whistled, almost nonchalantly towards Ina. The cold flowing air of the room made her feel under a sleep spell.

Yori sighed. "What? No pub tonight? It's got good music... can't we atleast sit in and chill for a while?" He looked up at the sky, pushing his hat down over his head. "I'm really not looking forward to going home, but I happen to like my sofas, I think they pretty damn soft..." He said, almost sadly. "Besides, I told before, you gotta' sit in em' atleast five times to get used to them!" They were passing the pub now. "You sure? I don't want food... I just want to lounge here... smoke a bit. Drink a bit."

A group of UN men aprroached, a trio of Frenchmen, it appeared. "Hey! What are you doing here! It's almost pass curfew, get inside of somewhere, now!"

Yori sighed. "Whatever, we NERV employees, we don't gotta' listen to you bastards. Go eat frenchtoast." He said, chalantly. He showed them his badge as he said that.

"What?" The men said, angrily. They seemed to be aiming their weapons at Yori.

"You heard me; that's right... you can't pick on us, sorry to say. Go mess with civilians, small fries." Yori smiled at them, cockily, then turned to Yoshirou. "Let's go inside the pub, Yoshirou." He said, cooly. He began to walk inside.

"Wait!" They shouted, angrily. "Stop!"

Yori pushed the door open. "Comon' kid, inside now." He looked at the agents. "Wouldn't want these soldiers to gun down one of the chosen children!" He said loudly, making sure the men heard what he said.

As Yori and Yoshirou entered the pub, the men began to speak among themselves, feverishly. "Was that truly on of the children who pilot EVA!?"

Kikan could feel it now. As the moon had come up, the sun down, the air of the city had changed completely. He had been forced to avoid the UN men, as he had no pass to validify his status as a NERV employee (further, an EVA pilot). Still, he could feel the eyes on him. Megami seemed to always be watching. He could feel her hate, and envy. Her deep emotions for him, and the death and blood that she had stained herself with when she killed those NERV agents. He felt as though he would see her anytime, and rightfully so.

Megami watched Kikan as travelled, sneaking closer and closer to his home. "Kikan..." She said, devilishly. "Kikan... Reigan..." She put her hands over her head. "I... I..." She had almost began to screamed. "Kikan... Reigan!" Louder she spoke his name now, still running her hands chaotically through her hair. "... I hate you." She said, standing up. "I... hate you." She said, staring at him coldly as he run. "I want you... for myself." She said, licking her lips. "Your blood... your cold heart of betrayal and endless pain."

Ritsuko looked at the M16, "Ho..how to fire this," she held it up into shoulder, and stood ready for Jun to go, "Don't die on me...." she started to cry abit, but stopped as she knew she must help out, "Them NERV agents must die....." she turned the corner and opened fire, the kicked back nearly nocked her over, but she stopped firing the weapon, and hid behind the wall again.

"What a lovely girl...." Ina said as she walkd in behind Shinji, "looks like im sleeping with you then...." she giggled as she saw Shinji start to blush at this, "Awrrrr bless" she walked off and sat on the floor next to Misato, "Shinji....." she looked around, she didn't see him, "Were is Shinji."

Yoshirou looked out the door, "Stupid French...." he said looking at them, then turned to Yori, "so mr. i have very nasty sofa's, now please answer my question, were will Rei stay." his tone was more worried then in love now, as he nw with French UN troops no one, and i mean No one was safe, Jesus help my sister...... he said as he rememberd she had to stay with that red haired *****.

Shinji had been stationary since Ina said she would sleep with him. He finally realized what she meant and laughed at himself. "I'm here." he walked into the room where Ina was sitting. "Did you want something?"

Jun waited until after Ritsuko had cleared a clip, and then started to rush down the hall. "Ritsuko, now! Cover me, fire another round!"

Ritsuko nodded. "Yeah!" OK, Ritsuko, hold the gun, stand your ground, and fire! Ritsuko made sure Jun was out of her line of fire.

Satsori chuckled, as Jun approached. "See ya', little man." He readied his hidden rifle, but Ritsuko let open fire.

"Take this!" She fired only a few bullets, before the rifle sent her tumbling back into the ground, painfully. She shouted as she impacted the ground.

Satsori pulled back just in time to avoid being shot. "Dammit!" He shouted, trying to get back to a defending stance. Jun had finally reached the end of the hall, and unleashed the acid upon the nonprepared Satsori. As the greenish fluid came from the glass, Jun lost his footing crashing to the ground. The acid however, still inked Satsori. "What da'..." Suddenly, he began to scream in horror, as the poisionous liquid began to burn his skin. "You! Bastard!" He shouted to Jun. Almost driven mad by the pain, Satsori drew his rifle, aiming right at Jun's head.

"****!" Jun dove to his left, just missing the machine gun fire, and fired one pistol round into Satori's chest. The acid seemed to ingite, and the man exploded into a giant mess of decapitated biomass, heaped with blood. Jun covered his eyes as the bloody mess sprayed all over him. "Damn..." He said, strongly. After it stopped, only Satsori's legs remained, and nothing else. Jun stood. "Damn traitor." He could feel the man's blood all over him, even his face. "****." He turned to Ritsuko. "I'm done." He began to walk toward her. His killing of Satsori had awakened the kill in him. "I'm going on. You get outta' here. Tell them I've secured down to Level 8, and I'm going on down, until I secure every route down to Central Dogma." His voice was different now. He sounded partly like a machine. One meant for killing.

Misato sat infront of the microwave, watching her instant curry rotate and radiate inside. "I wonder... how long things can heat up... before they explode..." She said to herself. "Well... I need to figure out when... and pull the plug before then." The microwave's timer hit zero, and an unpleasent buzz began to blare out, until Misato cut it off. "Shinji, Ina and Asuka!" She looked to the exit of the kitchen. "Dinner!"

Asuka sat in the shower, her eyes closed. In the silence, she was listening. Trying to hear what was going on downstairs. "Shinji..." She said to herself. She kept her eyes closed, standing tall out of the soapy bath, then looked out of the window, into woods in the distance. "It was a comfortable bath..." She kep ther eyes on the woods, staring for what seemed like forever, atleast to her. It was silent as she stared, and no thought manifested much, it was just an aimless stare into the night. "Comfortable..." She stepped form the bath, her towel wrapped around her figure, nicely. "Die Kurven darstellen immer lassen, yah..." She said to herself. As she came from the room, as walked slowly towards her room, still listening to Ina and Shinji. That girl makes me angry! She thought.

Yori relaxed, letting his body sink into the fabrics of the pub couch. "Damn... this is good." Yori chuckled. "It's deserted thanks to those French Fries outside... now we got the whole pub to ourselves." Yori sat up, looking towards the bar. "Yo! Yoshiki, bring me a beer!"

"Yeah!" A man called from behind the bar. "You're lucky, Yori!" The man called. "You're the only who got clearence to even come here this late!"

Yori smiled, looking back to Yoshirou. "Look... I don't know where Rei at... but I think she's still in NERV. I'll go find her tomorrow. I doubt she'll get caught up with those A3 guys... Gendou really looks out for her, y'know?" Yoshiki came to the table, handing Yori his beer. "Thanks..." Yori said,calmly.

Megami's eyes widened; she was not expecting Kikan to notice her. "Kikan!?" She said, almost lustfully. She smiled, flash-stepping infront of him. She stood a few meters from him, an unsure look on her face. "If you noticed me..." She said, angrily. "Then you shouldn't have acknowledged me." She licked her lips again. "I was stalking you. Wetting my appetite for later... but now you make me resist the perfect opportunity to feast on you..." She wrapped her arms around herself. "Don't you miss my body, Kikan? I miss yours... I miss your love... and now. I'm going to consume all of it!" She began to laugh that freakish laugh again. "Kikan... I still need you." She stepped forward. "Come to me, my love, let me feel your love once more!"

Ritsuko ran out of the lower level 8 and into floor 7, ".... Jun is mad, just how i like him though." she laughed then carried on, "floor 2, only 1 to go." she saw 3 UN troops run down the stairs past her, "finally you came.." she said.

Ina looked at Misato, "Thankyou." she sat down at the table and started to eat, suddenly a look came across her face, like how can you mess instant food "it's lovely...." she said....

Yoshirou looked at Yori confused, "i suppose you are right, anyway.... as i said earlier..." he stopped looking around, "I suppose i can trust you..... as i said about old school" he took a sip of water, "My sister, Ina, was playing around with some lad, flirting like you seen her do with Shinji...." he was Yori nod as saying yes, carry on, "Anyway, when she told him, he went mad and tried to do stuff to her....... she told me and....." Yoshirou paused looking away... "just forget what i said." he then lay back against the sofa, "Hey these are comfy.... why don't you borrow two?" he laughed

Kikan stood his ground "Who are you? Who are you really?" he took a cautious step forward "Are you really who you say you are?" he looked her in the eye "I did miss Megami. But I didn't wan-" he thought to himself for a moment. This is exactly what he wanted, he wanted her to be back. In fact he had wanted it so adamantly he didn't even think about anyone else. If this is what he wanted, why did she scare him? "This is what I wanted." he said finally "I geuss it really is. But are you really Megami? Or is this some kind of joke?"

Shinji ate the food without complaining, he knew there wasn't much point in doing it anyway. It wouldn't make her become a better cook. He just wished he could've cooked for Ina's first day at the house.

Yori drained his beer quickly, listening to everything Yoshirou said. His words were making since, and it sounded like a good story... What'd you do Yoshirou??? He thought. "Hey!" He cried, as Yoshirou waned from the subject. "On with the story! What'd ou do to the bastard for messing with your sister! I want to know!" Though it took seven beers to make Yori drunk, it took one to make him rowdy. "On with the good story." He said, crossing his arms. "Don't complain about my hard sofas if you can't even tell me a story." He smashed his empty pitcher on the table. "Start talkin', or you're gonna' have to drink this stuff!" He smiled. "I know about your addiction. you won't hold out for long."

Jun kicked over what was left of Satsori, and continued on his way. "We have to clear NERV out." He said, to himself. "We have to make it accessible to the pilots... or the next angel will..." He now carried Satsori's RPG, and an M4. "I'll kill all of those bastards!"

Asuka descended the stairs slowly, smiling to herself. "I'm better!" She said to herself. "Misato-san!" She cried as she reached the kitchen. She had dressed herself in a skimpy t-shirt and a short pair of shirts. Revealing as ever. "Not more instacurry!" She smiled knowingly at Misato.

"Ah," Misato said, noticing Asuka. So... she's going to try to cover her pain up with that complex of hers... not good. "Sorry!" Misato said, truthfully. "After all of the events of the past week or so... I haven't really been able to prepare better meals than this."

Asuka nodded. "That's true, I guess..." She said, sitting next to Ina. You always make instant food though... She thought, sheepishly. Now she turned her attentions to Ina. "I hope you're ready for a reality check," she said to Ina. "Did you know these Japanese actually sleep on the floor!? How can they stand it, sleeping on the ground like an insect!" Typical Asuka.

Megami began to blush, heavily. On her pale white skin, the blush showed up well. She took a step back. "Kikan..." She closed her eyes. "Stay away from me..." She said, putting her hands over her head. "Please... stay away!" Suddenly, she began to scream and cry out, not articulating any words in particular. "Stay away!" Why do I feel like this!? Why do I feel this emotion for him!?

Because you still do. You love him. Ishi's voice rang deep in her head.

"No!" She said, standing up. She stared at Kikan now, her eyes wide, full of tears and fear. "Kikan... I...!" She reached for him. "I..."

Yoshirou looked at Yori, "No, i shouldn't of said that, and besides you are a drunken mess......" Yoshirou stood up and left the pub, he walked outside and sat down, "Jesus what im a doing!!??" he hit the floor with his hand, blood started to come out of the cut he just made.

"Well you should be well use to it then Asuka" Ina said back implying she herself was an insect, "Well least i won't be alone anymore" she smiled at Shinji as she new she was staying with him.

Megami was fighting her desire to kill Kikan, but she couldn't help but blush. She was happy to be with him, happy as she'd been in a while... but now, she had a feeling of hatred for him, and that wouldn't go away. Not so easily. "Kikan..." She said, quickly. "Leave me... or... I'll kill you..." She stepped away from him, her teeth grinding. "Now!"

Shinji nodded quickly and went to fetch his music. He had a feeling that the 2 girls wouldn't get along. He finally found his music and started playing it. "Maybe this'll lighten the mood." he thought to himself.

Kikan held his ground "If you're going to kill me, go ahead. Better you than some angel." he said quietly, he wasn't sure if he was bluffing or being serious, but he felt perfectly calm.

As Jun reach layer 21, he was stopped. A group of NERV men met him at the entrance to Central Dogma. "What?"

"They have escaped, it would seem." Fuyutsuki said, shamefully. "They knew all the routes. There's no way we could have sealed them all in time."

Jun frowned. "How many got away?"

"Three. Five were killed by the UN forces... Did..."

"Yes." Yes Jun said, happily. "I killed two if them..." He was happy to state he had taken out two A3 traitors. He, Jun, was the only NERV agent to combat the traitorous agents within their organization.

Fuyutsuki grinned. "Great job. Your appearence supports your words." Jun looked down at his body. He just now recognized that he was painted over in blood. Mostly Satsori's. Fuyutsuki began to walk away, with his men. "We'll send a med team here to pick you up. Wait here until then."

Jun nodded, dropping the rifle in his hand. "Yes sir!" I wonder where Ritsuko is... he thought. I hope she managed to stay safe...

Yori frowned. "You're that Ohski kid, right?" He withdrew his pistol. "A terrorist?"

Ohski smiled, holding a rifle in his hands. "You heretics will not walk unpunished. anti-EVA shall cleanse the Earth!"

Yori sighed. "Punk, if you shoot at me, I'll kill you with one shot." He chuckled. "Your small *** can't even handle that properly."

Ohski smiled. "I might die, but I'm make sure to place a bullet inbetween the eyes of both of you before I die. A worthy sacrifice."

Yori sighed. "Damn... Yoshirou... this kid is crazy. I might really have to kill him..."

Asuka stood up, no expression on her face. "I'm feeling a bit tired... I'll go now." She walked up stairs. What's the point... I know I can't do this anyways! I'm not wasting my time with these losers! She wouldn't say it of course, but Asuka had lost part of herself. Emotions could be hard to explain, but she'd rather surpress it all under her superiority complex. Why not? It made things easier to get pass.

Misato watched Asuka go, and she knew how she really felt. Asuka... She thought, watching the girl ascend the stairs.

Megami's eyes began to fill with tears. "Kikan... don't push it... what do you want from me..." She was tense. Kikan could sense it. It was like she could boil over at any time. "Kikan... I don't want to kill you!" She shouted. "Please... get away from me..."

Yoshirou looked at Ohski, "i notice u have to use a gun..... shamefull i think" Yoshirou threw down his bag, and took his coat off, "If you really want to fight, then come on" he put his fists up, he was well taught in marshal arts in russia, he may have been over confident though.

Ina looked as Asuka went into her room, "Well.... guess its us 3 then" she smiled, "What you want to do?" she said to Shinji as she stood up from the table to take her plate away.

Ritsuko looked at the 3 French U.N troops which past her, then carried on up to the lobby, "im still... alive" she said then she sat down to get a breather, "... ouch...." she felt her shoulder, it was bruising after she fired the M16

Ohski chuckled, maintaining a malicious and sinister smile. "Yoshirou of NERV... You must think I'm a fool!" As he said this, his voice quiet and cold, he pulled his gun to Yoshirou's face. "I'm here to kill you, I've had my fair share of doing nothing." I have... I have to prove that I am an effective member our organization. I am a major player in anti-EVA! He remembered what had happened just an hour before this confrontation:

Ohski fired his weapon. A head shot. Shredded paper brains floated to the ground, slowly. Satisfied with his shot... Ohski smiled. "Yes... I am..." He said to himself, breathing rapidly, quietly. "I am getting better." He looked at the decapitated paper target, which had been sculpted into the shape of a human. "Soon, I'll be able to eliminate those NERV scum... those... EVA pilots who defy God!" He thought of Yoshirou when he said this. Yori too.

"Son Emanuel!" Ohski turned to see a black clothed man... we had seen him earlier, walking beside Leader (or Kreager, what ever you want to call him). His black cloak was still over his face, but his aura didn't seem as dark and... omenious as Leader, the cloak didn't cover his face as darkly... it was more like cheap copy.

Ohski's mouth fell open abit. "Father Ohalland!" he pointed, excitedly towards his work: the decapitated paper men he had done in. "Look at what I did! Thirty-three Stationery targets in a row, five moving! All head shots!"

The man nodded. "Yes... you have improved indeed my son. I am humbly proud of your efforts..." The man seemed distant, he didn't seem to share any of his son's enthusiasm. "But..."

Ohski didn't let his father finish. "Father! Now! You can add me to the Elite Guard! I can do missions for the organization, right!?"

The man frowned, his eyes not visible. "I don't want you on that guard." His voice was heavy, thick with emotion.

"Father!? WHY!?" Ohski screamed. The question in his voice was rivaled with sudden anger and confusion. Why, father!? Why!? You told me that if I trained... that... that... "Why!?" The boy repeated.

"I..." He reached out a hand. "I do not want you to enter these dangerous groups at such a time. Dangerous... almost suicidal missions are coming for us. If you join the Elite Guard now... you'll surely..."

"I don't care!" Ohski said, solidly. He was screaming anymore, his voice was cold and thick. "It's not about me, father... It's about God!" He stepped forward. "And I will serve him! My God! I've already made that decision!"

Ohalland stepped forward. "And I've made mine! You aren't joining that guard son, I'm sorry. I won't let you get hurt."

Ohski shook his head. "Father... You can't hol dme back. I no longer heed your orders! I answer to Leader only now!" He said, his voice possesed with some higher order of thinking. "Leader... and above him... God!" As he spoke these words, his white rage finally overflowed, and he took off, pass his father and towards the lift to Tokyo-3. I'll prove to my father... to everyone! I'm already at Elite level! God, by my witness!

Ohalland hesistated, but decided not to go after his son. "Ohski..." He began to walk quickly to the second lift. "Those UN men will find him!" He finally began to run. Thinking was over, action now. I have to stop him! I have to save my son from himself! The monster he's become!

Ohski nodded GO!. "That's why... I have to kill you Yoshirou! It doesn't matter how I go about doing it! It is God's will!"

As Ohski moved to pulled the trigger, Yori pulled his pistol as fast as he could. "Yoshirou!" He cried. Two shots sounded. Then a body hit the ground.

Ohalland ran through the city, as stealthly as possible. "Ohski... where are you!" He stoppped suddenly, in a bunch of trees. "Them..." He said, as a UN tank passed by. He waited for its flood lights to blank before he moved on. "I'm pretty sure I heard a gun shot from this area..."

Yori lowered his pistol. "Dammit... stupid kid! Why'd you have to go and shoot!?"

Ohski dropped his gun, then he dropped to his knees, blood from his lips. "Father... Ohalland..." He fell to the ground next, his eyes lifeless. I guess this... is the path God... has chosen for me... but, why? I could've been so much usefull... oh... well... no use arguing... accept me... embrace me... God... with a heavenly... reward... His sight began to dim... and in his eyes... before complete blackness, he saw a slight light, a golden smiling face of happiness. The insignia of Joy and manhood. Ishi...? This person? Who is he? As the image began to turned to black nothingess, it occured to Ohski. I see... so God is incarnated at human...

Yori watched the blood pool out underneath Ohski's body. "Yoshirou!" His bullet had clipped Yoshirou's shoulder, but only slightly. "You alright?"

"Emanuel!" Yori and Yoshirou turned to see a man. A man in a black cloak. "No! My son!" He seemed not to notice Yori and Yoshirou at first, and then suddenly he did. "You!" He said accusingly, his emphasis on the word was long and tense. "Did you do this... did you do this to my son!?" He screamed. His voice was untainted, human despair at its finest. "Did you do this to my boy!?" He took out an automatic as he said this. "NERV scum! Answer me!"

Yori had his pistol out again. "He attacked us. We were just defending ourselves, right Yoshirou?" He turned to Yoshirou as he said this, putting a cigarette his mouth at the same time. Of course, he had an eye plastered on the man at all time, and his pistol was aimed right on.

"Ina, Shinji." Misato stood up from the dinner room floor. "Sorry to disturb... but I'm going to go check on Asuka." She left the two of them, a disguisted expression on her face. What's wrong with you Shinji!? Asuka needs you right now! She thought, angrily. She wanted to say it to him, but she knew it wouldn't do any good. Shinji was too fragile for that kind of talk... and Ina was only in her first day... it'd be too much drama. When she arrived outside of Asuka's room, she sighed, letting all her thoughts disperse into focus and gossip dung. "Asuka?" She asked, knocking once on the door. It was a solid knock, one that would get attention, but it wasn't loud and obnoxious. "Asuka, you OK?"

Asuka lifted her head from her pillow, which was saturated with water. She quickly wiped the tears from her eyes. "Yes! I'm perfectly fine!" She looked around the room frantically. "I'm just..." The door opened to reveal a happy Asuka unto Misato. "I'm just reading this pamphlet Ritsuko left for us to read! You know... so I can top those losers at the next synch-test!" She said, waving the booklet in Misato's face.

Misato smiled, worriedly. "I see..." She knew, she knew Asuka was lying. Asuka would never read such a thing. She was too fed up with herself to even allow herself to read such a thing. Besides... she threw the thing away when Ritsuko gave it to her and Shinji... Misato thought, passively. "Asuka..." She said again.

"Is something wrong?" Asuka asked, trying to hide the unstable part of herself. The all grown-up Asuka was flaunting on thin ice now, and it wasn't long until it gave way...

Misato shook her said. "Nothing... nothing." She smiled. "I just came to tell you that you're welcome downstairs anytime!"

Asuka nodded. "Thanks! But I know that!" She chuckled a bit. "I was here before Ms. Ina, afterall!" She said, with a superior and cynical smile.

Misato nodded. "Yes... of course..." She turned and headed for the stairs. "Well... We'll be downstairs!" With that, she was done and walked down the stairs, leaving Asuka alone. Asuka... She thought. You don't have to hide it... open up to me.

Asuka watched Misato leave, then closed her door. As it closed, the darkness of her room came to her, and gestured her back to her soggy bed. "Why me..." She thought. "Why me...?" She began to sob, silently, squatting against the foot of her door.

Fuyutsuki sighed. "This is a problem... if an angel were to attack now it'd be utter chaos..." He turned to his surrounding officers. "Call Dr. Akagi. We need her in Central Dogma right away. The MAGI will be in full operation tonight."

"Yes sir!" Two of the men walked towards a small room to the left of the larger room Fuyutsuki stood in. The room was very spacious, and the room was used nicely. Hundreds of cubicles filled the room, and they were occupied by workers.

Fuyutsuki looked at everything around him, and then began to walk towards a room entitled CD-6. "We need to regain control around here, and quickly at that. I hope the UN have an operation set up to snuff out these terrorists... it's only our job to kill the angels...

Megami stopped. She stopped everything... and then she looked down at the ground. "Kikan..." She let her mouth loosen and fall open. She stopped the tensing of her arms and let them fall slack. "I..." Suddenly she threw herself upon him, embracing him as hard as she could. "I love you!" As suddenly as she had embraced him, she kissed him without warning, letting his tongue into her mouth, and hers into his. I see... this is what... I was looking for... She rubbed Kikan back as she embraced him and their timeless kiss.

Yoshirou didn't move much, just the blood started to role down his arm, he didn't want to show the pain he was in, but the bullet cut into him, yes it was only a graze but it did hit, "Im.... fine..." he said holding onto his arm, he looked at the man in the black coat, "You should keep control of your boy..." Yoshirou said as he looked at him, blood was now drenched in his hand, and the blood started to spat on the floor..

Ina looked at Misato as she walked down the stairs This is all my fault.... she thought to her self, "Misato how is Asuka...." she said looking at her, then she turned to Shinji, she was still leaning on the Sofa, she giggled then turned away as she started to blush, I shouldn't...... It will be like Russia again....

Ritsuko saw one of the officers run towards her, "Yes?" she said looking at him as he was out of breathe, "im guess im needed...." she stood up behind him.

Shinji started blushing as well "Anyway... You didn't answer me. What did you want to do?" he had completely forgotten Asuka even existed apart from a small nagging feeling at the back of his mind, like he'd forgotten to do something.

Kikan was suprised by the kiss. He was also suprised by the way he felt. The kiss felt like a goodbye, like he'd never see her again. His knees were threatning to fold beneath him. He held onto her as if it was the last time he'd ever see her.

Yori stared at the man dead on, his gun solidly placed in his hands. "Look buddy, you can have the boy's body... I'll give you that. But if you fire that weapon, I'm going to kill your ***. You might hit me, but you won't hit the boy. And I'll make sure I hit you between your hidden eyes, prick!" Yoshirou recognized it. Yori's dark side had come out again. And this side of him was as hot as the cigarette that burned between his lips. "Now, get the boy, and leave."

The man didn't move for a second, didn't make a sound. Then he bent over slowly, touching his boys corpse. "Emanuel..." He said, relinquishingly. "Why did you disobey me..." He looked up to Yori. "You allowed yourself... to be killed by these... abdominations..." He stood up. "I shall avenge my son..." He said to Yori, a small anger about his voice. "I will surely do so..." Yori growled, getting ready for a duel. "But... not today." He picked up his sons body, after putting his weapon away. "I will surely kill you fools someday... it'll be a godsend too... that day."

"Hey you!" Suddenly, the sound of automatic gun fire filled the night air. The cloaked man dove back, avoided a cascade of deadly fire.

"Damn..." He said, making sure his son was secure in his hands. "The UN... has arrived." He jumjped again into the woods, avoiding even more fire. "I'll have to retreat... back to HQ." With that, the man was shrouded in forestry and gone.

Yori turned to the UN men, putting away his gun. "We ain't need you..." He said, lazily. "Why'd you interfere?"

These UN men appeared Japanese. "Well, it orders. Seek out and destroy, directly from the captain... sir."

Yori nodded. "Yeah, well... we'll just be on our way." He turned to Yoshirou. "Comon'... I'll fix you up back at the apartment." He turned towards the complex. "It's not far now..."

...

The man bowed. "Dr. Akagi..." He thought about what Fuyutsuki had said during the transmission. "The MAGI will be in full operation tonight... we need you to stay in Central Dogma until the completion of the maneuver..."

Kaji had accompanied the man. "Ritsuko! It's been a while..." He bowed. "It's nice to see your face again..." Coming up from his bow, he smiled, laxly. "Hope you're ready for a late night of work... There'll be plenty of coffee." He chuckled as he said this.

Misato looked at Ina angrily. "Like you give a damn!" She said, solidly. "I should... I should slap you for your..." Suddenly, she realized what she was saying. What... what am I doing? She thought. She smile dsuddenly, trying to act cheerfully. "I think we've had enough partying for a day." She turned off Shinji's music. "We have a big day ahead of us..." She looked at Shinji as she spoke. There was a look on her face... and it matched her thoughts. She seemed unsure and a bit beside herself. She looked at the ground for a second, then she headed for the stairs. "I'm going ot take a shower." I can't believe this... These kids only know how to hurt eachother?

"Kikan..." She said, parting the kiss. "I have to leave now... it's almost operation time." She pushed him back with her words, and then turned. "I will... see you then... for one last time." She started walking away from him, slowly, as if she wanted him to remember her. How she appeared. Don't... ever forget me Kikan... because I won't ever do such a thing to you... Tears began to stream from her eyes, but she stared at the path ahead of her, and didn't close her eyes, not even to blink. She kept them wide, she kept strong. She had started to feel a horrible pain inside. I know we can never be together Kikan.. so don't forget... "Don't forget how I feel about you!" She cried to Kikan, now many meters away from him.

Yoshirou walked with Yori, "Hey least they wern't French UN troops..." he laughed at his, "Was it right you killing that boy like that....." he ask giving zero thought about his own life.

Ritsuko laughed, "I sort of got use to it now" she walked with Kaji towards Central Dogma, "so where have you been... seems ages since i saw you" she ask him, then looked at him with curriousity.

Ina looked at Misato,... i do care though... she thought to herself, "Goodnight misato" she smiled and stood up, "so i guess its time to sleep...... anyway im tired" she yawned at this

Shinji wasn't sure what quite happened, he could never get used to Misato's wild mood swings. He glanced at Ina "OK. I'm pretty tired too." he stifled a yawn "Maybe it is time to turn in for the night."

Kikan watched Megami go "I'll never forget. Never." he said quietly almost to himself. He wanted to follow her, but he knew there was no point. He started walking back to his home in silence. When he arrived, he lay down on the remains of a sofa. He put his head in his hands "Not again." he thought to himself "I don't want you to die again."

Yori sighed. "Damn. I had to kill that kid." They had reached his room, and he was putting the key in the door now. He missed a few times. "Dammit, go in!" Finally, the key went in, and he quickly had the door open. "If I didn't kill him... he would killed you. And I can't have that... the world needs you, Yoshirou." He pulled the Key from the door, letting Yoshirou in, and then closing the door from behind. "What da...!" Yori drew pistol, almost firing. "Damn! It's you!"

Rei stood in the living room, staring at the two of them. "A unit of NERV agents transported me here. They told me I was being relocated here." She stared at Yori as she said this, but she avoided Yoshirou's eyes.

Yori scratched his neck with the barrel of his gun. "Is that so?"

Misato sat in the tub with her eyes closed, letting the warm water soak her dirty body. "Where are we now...? What's going to happen?" She couldn't began to discern all of the information in her brain, she couldn't even access it. She didn't have the key, the will, to do so. She knew something was developing amidst all this drama and terror, but she couldn't place any fingers on it. Perhaps... I can't figure this out because... I'm just another piece in the puzzle. She looked up at the roof. "I wonder... where Ritsuko is... I wonder... where Kaji is..." She could hear Shinji and Ina moving about downstairs... but Asuka's room was silent and desolute. "I wonder where I am... among all of this mess." She began to sob, but only to her self.

"You know..." Kaji said to Ritsuko, patiently. "After that mess with me being accused of killing Asuka... I've been going through a number of trials... Luckily, they bagged the real attacker." He turned to Ritsuko. "I presume you've had your hands full. What with all these terrorists and all." He continued walking. "The media finally found out about these happenings. NERV will be embarassed, I believe. Terrorists even infiltrated our base; HQ."

"Sir. The lift, please." The NERV agent said, opening the lift for Ritsuko and Kaji.

Kaji nodded. "Thanks." He said the man, walking into the lift. "Ritsuko... let's go."

Megami sat in the woods by herself, crying, weeping into her hands. "Why... why is this happening?" She turned back to Tokyo-3. "I don't... want this anymore. I don't want to destroy..." That thing inside her jolted. "No..." She said, darkly, stopping her crying. "This hatred... it won't fade... until I do away with him." She stood. "I will..."

Suddenly, her communicator came on. "Megami. Return, we're detecting a large energy signature approaching from space. It'll be here by sun rise." Leader said, dubiously.

Megami looked at the communicator on her wrist. "An angel...?" She was silent for a second. "Got it, Leader. I'll be back in no time flat." Now... She thought. The operation begins! She smiled, wretchedly, then continued on to flash-run throughout the jungle. "Kikan... KIKAN!" She cried out.

Leader smiled, looking up at EVA-04. "So... what is the girl's plans for you, EVA?" Whatever they are, I'm sure they'll only help me in my efforts... He thought, greedily. "I can't wait... to see the destruction!"

"Me neither." Leader turned to see Megami.

"Oh... You've already arrived?" He asked, astoundedly.

"You know I'm fast. Get outta' my way, old man." She began to walk towards EVA-04. "It's time for me to kill."

Yoshirou noticed Rei didn't looked at him, he looked at her though, then turned to face Yori, "Good thing you ain't trigga happy..." he laughed at his as he sat down, "You shoulda let me taken the boy....... he was a bent shot anyway...." he looked at his arm, the blood seemed to have stopped.... "Well Rei, i hope you like nail Sofa's" Yoshirou laughed at this and waited for Yori to look at his arm.

Ina looked at Shinji, "thats not a bad idea" she said standing up, she picked her bag of the floor, "Sooooo were is your room...." she giggled at this.

Ritsuko nodded to Kaji's words, "Ooooo yes, u supposidly killed Asuka....." she looked around, the lift was a few floors away from where they were going, "And yes it has been hard, but hey.... ill carry on" she said.

Hyuga smiled, as the last of the data stream came to pass. "Finally, after hours of work." He typed in a shut down command. "We can relax for tonight..." He Maya and Aoba. "So what... straight home? No fun?"

Aoba stood, stretching out his arms. "You crazy?" He looked at his watch. "It's pass midnight... we won't live through tomorrow if we don't get any rest!"

Maya nodded in agreement. "We've already had too much work to do as of late... Maybe we should just..." Suddenly, a light red light came on, with a silent alert. "What's that?" Maya asked sitting back down.

Hyuga shook his head. "Hold on, I'm gett the monitor back on." He turned the monitor back on, and started typing. "Oh no... Color Pattern blue, we've got an angel!"

Aoba shook his head, miserbly. "Not now... not tonight!" He sat back down to, typing as fast as he could.

Hyuga turned to Maya. "Activated first class alarms!" Suddenly, the lights throughout NERV turned hot red, and a loud siren began to blare out.

Yori turned to Yoshirou. "Now let's look at that wound..." Suddenly, alarms went off. Yori hesistated. "Damn... more terrorists?!" He paused, listening to the alarm. "No! It's an angel!" He turned to Rei. "Comon'! We gotta' get to NERV, now!"

...

Misato ran out of the shower, naked. "Shinji! Asuka! Ina! Get out here now!" She ran for her room. "Get to the car, I'll join you just as I'm dressed!"

Yoshirou looked at Yori, "oooo... i can test that new weapon now...." he smerked abit with a evil touch behind it, "cant wait....." he said.

Ritsuko looked at Kaji "an angel...." she said, "get all EVA's online and ready"

Shinji stared at the place Misato was stood for a moment. The recovered himself and followed Ina "Man, I really wish she wouldn't do that..."

Kikan heard the alarms. "Please don't let it be her." he said to himself. He got up and started walking towards NERV. He suddenly started running, he didn't know why but he felt like something was near him. He stopped and listened, there was nothing. "Maybe I am going crazy." he started walking again.

Fuyutsuki appeared in the highrise over Hyuga, Aoba, and Maya. "Open all battle routes! Where is the angel!?"

Maya searched frantically through the data stream. "It's five hundred miles from the atmosphere of Earth!"

Fuyutsuki arched an eyebrow. "It's appeared from that far away?" Just where do these things come from anyways? "What speed is it appraoching at?"

"Sir, it appears to be gliding at limbo speed." Hyuga checked his readings. "No more than thirty miles an hour, it's as if it's waiting..."

"Fuyutsuki..." Gendou muttered, as he entered the room.

Fuyutsuki turned to him. "Oh... so you've arrived..." He smiled. "We were getting scared without you."

"Oh no! Large fluctuation in energy waves!"

"Is it an attack!?"

"The fluctuation is spreading rapidly... it's moving towards Earth! Pinpointed! It's targeting Tokyo-3!"

Fuyutsuki cringed. "Damn!"

...

As Kikan ran, he noticed a giant beam of white light from the night sky... and then instantly, there was a gigantic explosion. It landed in the country side, missing the city by atleast twenty miles, but the explosion was so mamoth, it blew him to the ground. The light from the blast was simply unbearable, along with the heat itself.

...

As Misato sped down the street, the masive explosion almost flipped the car. "Crap!" She screamed. "This one's powerful!" They watched as a mushroom cloud formed in the distance.

...

Yori looked out the window. "Crap! We gotta' get to NERV now!" He turned to Yoshirou and Rei. "If we don't hurry that things gonna' kill us all!"

Yoshirou was already out side in a flash, "come on yori" as Rei was next to Yoshirou, "its just you we are waiting for!!!" he said as he ran to the stairs, "run to NERV.... the pilot lovely..."

"I remember my brother saying you couldn't drive, he was right!!" they went into a corner at 90mph, "err i know its important but for the love of all whats right slow down!!"

Ritsuko looked at Kaji, "Bring out the new proto-type weapon for EVA-4, Yoshirou will be the pilot." she said looking out at the EVA's

Kikan covered his eyes, he got back up. He couldn't see, it was temporary it seemed and his vision slowly returned. He started running as fast as he could towards NERV.

Suddenly, a data stream popped up on the screen. Hyuga began to read it, Maya and Aoba were too busy typing. "Oh no!" He cried. "The angel is approaching the atmosphere at well over 700 mph!" He turned to Fuyutsuki. "I'll crush the city!"

Fuyutsuki cursed. "****! Where are the EVA pilots!" Maybe it was a bad idea to send them home! If they aren't here soon...!"

...

Megami smiled. "I'm ready."

Leader nodded. "OK. Go."

Megami nodded. "EVA... trust in me... the my soul is yours... your soul... mother... created mine." Suddenly, then EVA jumped up into the air, breaking through the ceiling of the room.

Leader arched an eyebrow. "So... she's awoken her EVA."

"Mother..." Megami looked out over Tokyo-3. "Give me your strength!" She began to run, run as fast as she could towards the falling angel. "Stop it!" The EVA moved faster than an EVA had ever moved before. Kikan could here it, the monstrous foot steps... then the EVA roared by him.

AT this moment, a white orb came into view in the sky... the angel was about to smash into Tokyo-3.

Megami smiled. "For you Kikan!" She smiled. "For you, I'm willing to die!" As she said this, she jumped high into the air, and then smashed the feet of her EVA deep into the ground. "Kikan... I love you!" The angel roared as it came down upon EVA-04, and then as it impacted the EVA's palms, there was a gigantic explosion. The blast was so intense that it couldn't be heard. The force would knock anyone to there feet, and if you were close, you'd be dead.

Yoshirou and Yori just reached NERV with Rei ahead of them, "how does she run so fast.." Yoshirou said as he caught his breathe back, he looked at Yori, "You ok?!" Yoshirou grabbed Yori and carried on running.

"Misato... are we there yet?!" Ina said looking out of the window at the Angel, it was coming into site of where they were now, "Come on we got to get there!"

Kitsuko saw Yoshirou and Yori, "Ok Yoshirou go get ready now!"

Shinji stared out of the car window "Maybe we don't even have to be there..." he turned to Misato "Who is that? It looks like the one we fought before."

Kikan stared at the explosion, he stopped running. "No way..." he almost fell to the ground, but he remembered something "No. Not dead." he started running again. He had thought she had died before, but she was alive. There was no way this would stop her.

“Junya-Kun,” The doctor said, looking at his clipboard. “Your wounds are all minor. From what it seems at this point, almost none of the blood on your body was your blood.”

Jun nodded. “Yeah, doc. It got a bit messy down there. Those guys were trained.”

The doctor nodded. “Yes, well…” He looked back down to his clipboard. “All of the traitorous A3 team was eliminated. You aren’t necessarily injured, but I advise you take a rest here…”

Jun shook his head. “No way. This is red alert, right? There’s an angel about. I can’t just sleep during something like that.”

The doctor nodded, and then sighed, taking a seat on a bench next to Jun. “I thought you might say that. He looked at Jun, a tired, humbled look in his eyes. “You men and women who serve NERV are so dedicated to this cause… But I don’t know… I just don’t know if it’s worth it…”

Jun shook his head. “What? Dr. Ishikawa!” He cried, sitting up in his bed. “Surely you don’t mean that!”

“Over my long history of serving this organization, my boy, I have come to realize something. Hundreds of brave and young men and women have died serving NERV. Died in training, terrorists attacks… construction accidents… and some… some died mysteriously…” The old man stopped talking suddenly, as if he needed to take a break just after that one paragraph. His breathing slowed, and he took a longwinded sigh.

Jun was cut off by the man’s sudden slow breath. “M-mysterious?” He sputtered, repeating Ishikawa’s last words.

The man nodded. “Yes.” He constricted his eyebrows now, and his breathing almost stopped. “Between you and me…” His eyes shined with certain knowledge. Jun noticed this and leaned in to listen. “Yui Ikari, Commander Ikari’s wife?”

Jun nodded, silently. “Yeah…?”

“She disappeared, Junya-san.” The old man coughed a bit. “Her body just… disintegrated in front of us…” He stood up. “And she was dead.” He turned around. “Similar things have been happening… to women who performed certain experiments with those behemoths we call EVA.”

Jun sat up. “Are you telling me that Yui was killed in a lab accident?”

The doctor shook his head. “Not an accident… it was… it seemed… planned.”

“What!?” Jun cried. He stood now. “You mean like the commander tried to kill his wife!?”

“No… that not it…”

“Then what!? A freaking suicide!?” Jun stood up, not caring to even give the doctor time to speak. “Enough of this, Ishikawa!” He rampaged to the door. “This is crap!” He yelled. “I won’t listen!” He left the room, and then slammed the door behind him. Damn! What is that old geezer thinking!? Jun thought, as he pushed down the hallway.

Dr. Ishikawa sighed. “I simply cannot accept this way of life much longer… those kids will be the next to be sacrificed… we already lost two…”

Two figures were noticeable in the night sky. Their large and glamorous silhouettes meandered high into the sky, and their features glimmered in the full moonlight. One was the shape of an EVA, the other, was held in the hands of the EVA, though it was much larger. With the EVA holding it, the entity stretched high into the air, almost to the clouds. It appeared that the EVA was holding up a giant pair of headphones in its hands, and the headphones were heavy.

Megami struggling to hold the angel in the air. “It’s… too heavy...” She gasped as the weight became too much to bear. “Can’t drop it… so I’ll kick it!” she dropped it, her EVA giving a roar, and then drop-kicked the angel high into the air. As it funneled high into the sky, it made loud chorusing sound, as if singing some heavenly tune. Megami smiled. “Gotcha’ where I want you!” She closed her eyes, letting her soul contact the EVA's. “Mom, please give me your strength!” Suddenly, the AT-field around her EVA became visible. She dove into the air, after the angel, and landed on the side of one of its long curving arms. “Take this!” She slammed a fist into the angel’s arm, causing the angel to almost crash to the ground.

Maya turned to Hyuga. “What exactly is going on!?”

Hyuga shook his head. “I don’t know? Is it EVA-04!?”

Aoba nodded, watching a cam that had appeared in the corner of his monitor. “Looks like it…” He turned to Fuyutsuki and Gendou. “We’ve got EVA-04 in combat with the angel!”

Fuyutsuki arched an eyebrow. “What? How is that even possible?” He turned to Gendou. “Shouldn’t…!?”

Gendou nodded, slightly. “Yes… the power supply shouldn’t be any more… it’s long pass the battery limit.”

Fuyutsuki shook his head. “Then… it can’t be…” He turned to Aoba. “Put the visual feed to the main monitor!”

“Yes sir!” Aoba began to type furiously. On the big screen appeared the angel, which took up a large proportion of the screen. “This is the angel’s full body!?” Aoba’s mouth fell open. “Looks like…”

Hyuga arched an eyebrow. “A large pair of headphones…”

Fuyutsuki was also distracted by the angel’s strange appearance. “…What da’…” He shook his head. “Zoom in on the EVA!”

“Yes sir!” Maya turned to Aoba and Hyuga, and they all nodded. “Zooming to a mag. of 23.6x!” The picture moved up closer and closer to the EVA. A small yellow dot on the angel’s arm grew larger and larger until… it was large itself.

But this wasn’t the blue-armored Unit-04, it was surrounded in a golden circuit of energy.

Fuyutsuki turned to Gendou. “Is… is it…?”
Gendou nodded, staring at the screen. “Yes. It is.”

Fuyutsuki nodded, an unsure smile on his face. “So finally… one of them did it…” He closed his eyes, not sure if his next sentence was secure. “EVA-Unit 04 has awakened.”

“Yes…” Gendou said, wonderingly. “This could be a problem since this EVA has been officially burgled.”

“Commander!” Aoba cried. “What do we do? The EVA was stolen… but should we help it out or…”

Gendou nodded to Fuyutsuki, who in turn, nodded back. “Alright!” Fuyutsuki cried to the staff. “I want the aircraft that is providing us that feed to back off, it’s not safe that close to the angel!” He turned to Maya. “When the EVA pilots arrive, launch tem immediately!” He looked at Gendou once more, then continued. “We’ll retrieve that EVA after the angel is killed!”

Leader stood in the distance of Tokyo-3, watching the battle in the skies. “So… this is it, huh?” He chuckled. “The girl is going to betray me?” He took off his hood, revealing the cold face of Kreager. “This isn’t what I planned, but oh well… I like variation in life.” He turned to his men. “Togi…” He smiled. “Inform the rest… Tokyo-org makes its moves in thirty hours…”

Yori finally turned his away from the battle, realizing they had reached NERV. “Alright, Yoshirou! Kick some angel ***!” He smiled, trying to sound as encouraging as possible. “I’ll be in headquarters!” He patted Yoshirou’s shoulder, then took off down his own path in NERV. “And I’m late! Still maintaining my reputation!” He was silent for a second as he ran. Damn… I wonder how that girl is holding up against that thing… looks like a giant pair of headphones!

Megami smashed the AT-field into the angel’s arm again, sending it flying through the air. “I can’t keep this up! I have to the core before…” The angel roared as it started to glow a bright white color. “Oh no!” She cried.
The angel roared once more as it flipped itself in the air, letting its round cuffed features face towards EVA-04. Megami, who was falling back towards the ground, was defenseless.

“Detecting a large energy pulse from the EVA!” Hyuga cried. The angel roared again before firing a beam of light towards the falling EVA-04.

Megami closed her eyes. “Comon’, work for me!” She cast her AT-field aside, using it as a rope to deflect the ray back into outer space. A large explosion filled the night sky once again, and then quickly faded.

As the night sky filled with yet another explosion, Misato spun her car to a stop. “We’ve arrived!” She turned to the children. “Out the car now! Get into NERV!” As she said this, a large chunk of angel skin smashed into the ground next to the car, the force of which almost flipped the car completely over. Misato hurried out of the car. Damn…! Is the battle really in the sky?! How can her EVA soar like that!?

An escort of NERV and UN men came from NERV’s entrances. “We’re here to escort you!” A man called to Misato.

Misato nodded. “Thanks, but the children take priority here! Take them in first…” Another explosion filled the air. “Hurry!”

“Yes ma’am!”
