Ive been trying to make my own layout with a profile generator, but i can never get the background looking right because dont know the pixel width/height of the myspace page and its been urking me for the longest time!
Does ANYBODY know or is there a way i could find out?
and i mean a myspace page without comments on it,im taking them off theyre annoying.
I would really appreciate the help.

why don't you just have a fixed backround that scrolls down instead of repeats and choose a backround color that kind of matches the image if there are gaps.

Yeah i was going to do that but the image i want to use is too large and i need to know the page size to get it looking nice.

The page is going to have a different width/height on practically every computer anyways, so this is a bit of a moot point. First you have different screen resolutions, which could be as small as 640x480 and up past 1600x1200. Then, take into account that the toolbars and menubars on some browsers take up more space than others, and some people have extra toolbars showing while others don't. Then, most people are using Firefox or Internet Explorer, while some may be using Mozilla, Safari, Konqueror, Opera, Netscape, or any of the other slew of browsers out there. To be honest, if an image is too complex to look good tiled, chances are it's going to be confusing to read text placed on top of it. It'd probably be easier to just make a simpler repeating background, and use the image in question somewhere else.

You should stick with around 1240x1024. That's about standard.
