Kill Bill 3: During an interview in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, director Quentin Tarantino talked about revisitng the Kill Bill story after the second film completes it's theatrical run...
"Yeah, I've been thinking about revisiting the story in a couple of ways," said the director. "I've been thinking about doing it as an anime feature that would tell the entire origin of Bill." Those who have seen Kill Bill Volume One will remember the anime sequence that demonstrates the lack of large-eyed talking rabbits in Quentin's cartoons, and in fact that his animated sequences are if anything more violent than his films.

Quentin has also considered telling the story - possibly animated, possibly live action - of Nikki, the five year old whose mother was the Bride's first victim in Volume One of the revenge drama.

Tarantino did drop a couple of further tidbits about his proposed sequel / prequel, but since they might spoil some of the plot twists in Volume 2 of the saga, anyone anxious to know more will have to buy the magazine.

It would be great to see another one. And one like Oren's animated childhood story! That would be great.

yeah, he mentioned this during interviews when the first movie came out. more of just ideas than anything else. he later said he would do the third until it made sense, like maybe at least ten years from now.

Yeah this was announced right when Kill Bill was released, ro Volume 2 that is. Tarantino said he'll do the film when the actual actress who played Nikki Green (Vernita's daughter) turns I think 14.

The Bill anime sounds awesome, seeing as how I loved the anime sequence and the style of it in Kill Bill Volume 1.

though I think the anime would be a wonderful endeavor( I was actually hoping for more when I saw the back story they did with one of the characters. can't remember volume/character it was, been forever since I saw the film) I don't think they should do another film. I was very disappointed with vol 2...there just wasn't as much "upmh" as the original.

Personally, I'd rather watch the films QT "paid Homage" to than see another Kill Bill.

I wonder if Gonzo is going to do the animating again.

Vol.2 just had less huge fights, although it did have an amazing one between Beatrix and Elle. You have to remember, this is actually one film and in the second half, characters were delved into more, and the dialogue was amazing, as in all of QT's films, but was even better than Volume 1's.

I can't wait for the Special Edition of the DVD because it will have both films together as one film like it was intended and it will be uncut (The black adnd white portion won't be black and white for example).

I'd assume Project G and whoever worked on the first films animation sequence would work on the new one, especially since it was so well made (So stylish and gritty, plus the part where O-Ren Ishii says "Whim-per" and the word whimper comes from her mouth and she stuffs it back in.)
Although I doubt this will happen anytime soon, because QT is working on Grindhouse at the moment and their already saying they will do a sequel. Also there's still Inglorious Bastards which I think Tarantino will work on next.

It would be interesting to have any sort of pre/sequel.

This is only rumor, though it would be a nice addition to my Kill Bill collection if it were to become reality.

I wonder if Gonzo is going to do the animating again.

Production I.G. did the animation, not Gonzo.

I also heard he would do it when the little girl turns older. That would be so cool. A kid version of Kill Bill if you will.

All these Kill Bill sideplots are really pointless and nonsensical milking of the film, but I will definitely see them... I love Quentin Tarantino's direction and scripting...
