This is confusing me. First they can't make a sequel to where the first one was based on a true story, and then base the second one off fiction (unless this did actually happen....GASP!).

I always thought Poseidon was the sequel to Titanic? Maybe a sidestory? I'd dig a sequel. It'd be just as hilarious as the first. That iceberg really wrecked sh!t up for the Titanic.

Reminds me of the time I was playing pictionary and the word was Iceberg, so I drew a boat about to crash into an iceberg and wrote "Owned" underneath it all. Everyone got it. :)

I never liked Titanic, and never understood the hype behind it.

If they ACTUALLY made a Titanic 2 It wouldn't make as much of a profit as the 1st one since the 1st one is based on a true story. What would the 2nd one umm have like a reunion of the survivors?? Just weird...I didn't watch the link at the begining of the thread because I had not interest in even viewing it. :(

I was rooting for the iceberg about 20 minutes into the first one.

I always thought that they should've backed the ship up and evacuated as many people as they could to the iceberg. It was the larger and more seaworthy of the two after the collision.

A dangerous plan? Sure. But I have to believe that a person's chances of survival would be better if they were standing on a piece of ice, rather than floating with debris.

For the first film, I was rather hoping they'd miss the iceberg. I wanted to see the audience's reaction if the ship missed the iceberg. But then, the ship could be blown to bits by a coal bin explosion just as they sight New York. Everybody's standing on deck marveling at the sunrise glinting off the Statue of Liberty, someone flicks a cigarette down a ventilation funnel, and the ship detonates. That would've been a great ending.
