Well, I only registered on Myspace to figure out what it's like, and haven't been back since. I don't know why everyone says it's ugly, it looks like any other community site. Of course, the pages of their subscribers are another matter.

It's interesting that a kid-oriented site like Myspace is a vortex of stupidity and filled with un-kid-friendly content, while Fark, with its asinine origins, is one of the smartest communities on the internets.

My sister told me that some people from my graduating class (High School) had MySpace accounts, so I decided to register, because I couldn't get into the High School section otherwise. This was last week sometime. I deleted it, though.

I may re-register at some point... probably not... I did learn some interesting things about some of my old schoomates (schoolmates, because if we were friends or even associates, I'd already know stuff)... like, this one girl that I've known since Elementary School (non-friend) is a mom... Didn't know that.

I hate myspace so much. Most of the reasons being that I hate how most teens act and what they associate with being "cool." Most people on myspace are diots who dont know anything about the internet or computers in general, and all they ever go on is myspace. The servers and the setup that myspace has is crap too. There is always alot of load times on the site even at the times that it is least populated. There are also tons of errors happening all the time. Myspace is the biggest tragedy that has ever happened to the internet.

Why does everyone think it's a bad idea if it has surpassed Yahoo in most visited site? Maybe it's not a good idea for the users, but it's a brilliant idea for Tom, wish I could have done it. Second, saying everyone has the "hip youngster cool guy" mentality on the network is generalizing. There are people worth meeting on there. It helps with networking, if you need to get an idea across, or anything else. One R&B artist went big because she was found on myspace.

So in conclusion, don't hate, because Tom came up with a good idea. And the media will always find something to complain about, this is the latest, and that doesn't make it bad.

ya, he's like the face of myspace. I still see his tendencies in myspace, so I'd assume so. He's really protective, like he's good about keeping spyware away and hackers away. He's even telling people to upgrade to flash 9. In fact alot of the "contruction" I think was just security measures.
