is the Dragon Ball Z Season 1: Vegeta Saga Uncut DVD Set just a re-release of the original dvds? or is this the funimation version that is like the NEW re-releases they are coming out with?

The originals are OOP due to the license expiring. This would be a variation of the newer, bilingual releases.

It's the Ultimate Uncut DVDs.

ISn't the boxset a brick thing?

The picture on AN seems to indicate that as it's too small to be a thinkpack or normal box.

Disc ten goes up to episode 30, I believe, which is about the start of the fight with Vegeta, IIRC.
