Uh... yeah. I've been browsing through this section of the forum for a while and I am intrigued by the amount of wonderful writings in here. I don't know if I'm able to post an original sci-fi story here, so I'll post the first chapter to test it out.

If I post in the wrong section or if original sci-fi story isn't allowed, please delete this thread for me.

Finally, English is not really my first language but I've been learning it for the last twelve years. I live in Canada through most of my childhood but somehow, my grammar is horrendously bad at times. If anyone that actually reads this novel of mine finds it hard to understand in anyway, I apologize in advance. Thanks a lot.

Summary: Journey into the other side of space has turned havoc leaving one human scientist stranded on an alien planet in a body not his own. His dream? To return to Earth no matter what it takes.

Don't worry about the grammar thing. Those who have english as their native language have problems with it. I saw nothing that distracts too much from the story. It's nice to see a sci-fi fic on an anime board that doesn't have anything to do with gundam. ^_^ I think that it is a nice start and if you are really worried about grammar find a good proof reader.

Yeah, I'm planning on finding a beta-reader once I'm finished with this novel. Hopefully (a long shot...) I can publish it or something.

Writing music is just for fun. I have no talent in that.

But I do enjoy writing stories. :P

I'm currently working on another music composition, so I'll probably send it to you in a few weeks. Oh, and I can cook some basic stuff and I can definitely clean the house. Lol...

I've also noticed there are some spelling mistakes and some really obvious grammar mistakes in there. I'll change them once the novel is complete. :lol:

I maybe the only one reading right now..but I have to say, that your characters are very compelling and it's like being on a roller coaster ride with their emotions..really GREAT stuff! If I don't cry at least ONCE on a story..then I don't like it...so..rest easy knowing that at least *I* like what you're writing.

I want to know though, did you take a writing course in university (if your education extends that far) or are you just naturally gifted- or both?

Well... I haven't exactly taken any English writing courses, except for a prose genre, which is just essay writing. So I guess that wouldn't help me writing a novel (despite many grammar mistakes in there) this size more or less.

I wouldn't say I'm gifted though, because I'm not. Lol. I just write whatever that comes into my head. I'm sure all of you can do the same and better. ;)
