Infinite Ryvius
This was an odd one. I found it to be rather muddled. Character relationships were often unclear to me. The sequence of events got muddled for me several times. Major events are mentioned but not shown. The significance of some events was unclear to me. One character appears several times but who she is and why she is there wasn't clear to me until the very end and even then it really wasn't clear.
They get attacked by another ship of the same sort. Where did it come from? Why did it attack? What happened during the battle? What was the outcome? What happened to the other ship? Why is this incident even mentioned?

Nothing special but it was enjoyable enough. It mainly revolves around the relationship between the siblings, Otome and Minami and honestly, it kinda lacks originality. Good. 7/10.

Not dreadful but not good either. Lots of boring sports manga-esque stuff about lifting/skatboarding in da sky. Seriously tedious in places. Terrible ending.

It was okay, pretty much your typical shoujo manga. Being only around fifty pages long, it lacked depth and some parts just seemed to pop out of nowhere.

Meh. I'm glad I saw the anime before I read this. It wasn't anywhere near as good.
And worst ending (or lack therof) EVER.

I really enjoyed reading it. I'm glad that I watched Aishiteruze Baby anime because I'm more interesting in watching anime after I read manga few years ago. The manga have a good storyline so far, even though, the ending on the manga is different to anime. A nice romance story with a happy ending what I wanted to hope and it went well. I loved beautiful artwork! This one is my favorite manga so far. 10/10

Confession
Probably the only series by Nobuyuki Fukumoto's that has a completed translation. More people need to translate his work!
Overall it was pretty good. It's pretty much a one shot, one volume story. It doesn't feel too short either. By the end, you were actually involved with the whole thing. And it was pretty ironic the story ended that way, but hey, Fukumoto is the king of Psychological warfare, and it shows very well in this series. The way he draws character expressions and portrays emotions is just so crazy. You kinda think you know what's going to happen, but you don't know because it's so unpredictable.

I read the final volume of Beauty Pop today (which is vol 10, btw). I'll have to say this manga started out great, but slowly started to turn stupid and too silly. I can't even remember much of what happened in the series, which shows just how uninteresting it ended up being. Too bad, since the start was pretty good.

Mouryou Kiden - Legend of the Nymph
Story-wise it was a inconsisten, confusing and dissapointing mess that only got a little understandable for once in a while, or so you thought until you read the next page and everything was scattered. The funny thing is that the writer herself called it "clumsy" and that's exactly what it is, extremely clumsy. The art was for the most time quite nice but it was more often than not worthless in the aspect of telling you what happened and who was talking. It wasn't all bad though and had it's moments but I'm sure that Tamayo Akiyama sorely regrets leaving Clamp to work on things like this. Mouryou Kiden has proven to me that she doesn't work good by herself. I'll give this 4/10 since it's not all bad.

One of CLAMP's great old works. I didn't expect to enjoy this title but I did quite a lot. All the characters were great and I would have to say that this is the first time that I liked almost all of the characters in a series. Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
I enjoyed this one a lot. Plot-wise, I liked many parts of the manga more. The story arcs seemed more connected since the Maboroshi no Ginzuishou was not that big of a deal anymore later on in the anime. I also didn't think that there was a lot of character development. The manga was faster paced and I felt that some of the characters just came and left before we really got to know them. It was really different from the anime, but overall it was entertaining from beginning to end. Excellent. 9/10.

I think I followed this series more because of the fact that it was an actual Shonen Jump series that had an ending. Overall, the artwork, plot and characters were alright. The Gorgeous life of Strawberry-chan / The Super-Cool life of Strawberry-chan.
Due to the pacing and high-impact humour and the episodic nature, and the fact that the first volume took 5 years, I am under the impression that this is a compilation of a bit of filler comedy or something... the first volume was absolutely hilarious-but-omg-that's-wrong for much of the way - it made me feel a little guilty for laughing at topics I wouldn't normally consider laughing matter. The second volume waned for a bit but there are some perfect classic comedy chapters and genius comedy twists on old manga clichés in there that make it worth it.
Even though there were plenty of fresh ideas and twists on themes to keep it funny for far longer than I could have predicted from the start, it probably wouldn't have stretched further than 2 volumes, so I'm completely satisfied with it ending where it did.

I don't like saying the title of this manga, because it feels like I'm lying to you.
"Tenshi ja nai!" was pretty good fun, though I got the feeling that the author had a whole load of ideas and then kept forgetting to pick them up and follow them through... until it was a bit late... then they had to be dealt with really quickly...

I am so sad to see it coming to an end. It is one of those titles that leave a deep impression on you. I loved all the characters and surprisingly enough, I couldn't find a single one of them annoying or hated. I sure will miss Kyo and Tohru. A great ending, though I wanted to see more of the other characters. Well, it was enough to know what is going to happen in their lives, so it was all good. One of the best shoujo titles and I consider it a masterpiece.

Captive Hearts
This series was entertaining at first, but then I kinda started to lose interest in it. I didn't have a favorite character and after a while I didn't really care much about breaking the curse anymore because I didn't think it would change the situation too much, so this series didn't keep my attention for very long. The ending was okay. It wasn't disappointing but it didn't go out with a bang either. Overall, the best part about this series was the art. I'm not a big Hino Matsuri fan anyway, so I didn't expect much to begin with. Good. 7/10.

Finished S+M some days ago and it beat Mouryou Kiden in every aspect when it comes to being bad, I can't believe anyone would find this entertaining.
The story: A girl with huge breasts gets tutored by a guy to get into a certain highschool, she falls in love with this guy and still likes him after he attempts to violate her. She later finds out that this guy acutally have a twin who exchanged places with him after he tried to violate her. After this she falls in love with them both, gets gangraped by the twins and they (separately) try to force themselves on her at several occations, it's ok though since she love them. It all ends with her ending up with the one she loved (or was it? the ending don't make sense but she gets laid alright).
Yeah, I spoiled the ending but trust me, you don't want to read this crappy excuse for a manga. It's insulting how shallow the characters are and I can't help to feel offended by this manga. The author also seems to have no idea on what difference between love and lust is which lead to the creation of this abomination in the first place... thank god I didn't spend money or even HDD-space on this.

I just finished reading the Gacha Gacha-Secret manga. Its was a pretty fun and entetaining story. It starts off with a bunch or mindless ecchi and fan service, but later developes into a cute love story with less focus on Akira trying to see them naked, and more of him trying to win the girl he's in love with. The ending was a little dissapointing though. :/

While this series wasn't anything more than your average shoujo series, it was entertaining and I liked it. I just wish that it could have been something more. It never seemed to improve, so while it was a good series that's all it was. Really? A masterpiece?
I loved it in the beginning but then I really got annoyed and sick of it, only completing it since I couldn't return the books I had and I hate not completing a series. I feel like the author had really good ideas in the beginning to trap you and trick you into thinking it's going to remain good throughout.
She suddenly changed the story about the banquet which then caused the whole "Kyo can't beat Yuki" element not make sense because the part about the rat tricking the cat not exist.
It also got really emoish to point where every volume became "WAAAAAAAAAAAAH! We all have problems, but that makes this manga sooooo deep! Right?!"
To me Fruits Basket is the Twilight of the manga world and it's a shame that such a shoddy story became so popular while true master pieces like Pet Shop of Horrors go fairly unnoticed.

I watched the anime recently so I decided to read the manga. I wasn't disappointed at all, but it was a little short. Well, I was slightly disappointed that Kano and Minagi's stories weren't shown in the manga, nor was the summer arc. Even so, the main story was still great here. Also, I liked the ending of the manga a LOT better than the ending of the anime. ^_^

Thank you, I found something that were better but still stunk pretty bad. What I found was The Laughing Vampire. It was just plain disgusting. Sex and murder in every chapter and an pretty nonexistent plot about an old vampirehag with a shotacomplex. Yeah...
After that I finished Manhole, a thriller-manga. This was actually quite interesting since it's about parasites and bio-terrorism and not something supernatural which made it feel like it was something that could happend. The art looked great most of the time.
Next in the line was After School Nightmare. It was surprisingly easy to read and I read the whole thing in like 2 days, despite that it had a pretty deep and weird story. The characters all had little interesting quirks and the whole series was filled with unexpected events. Highly recommended if you want a shojo-story out of the ordinary. Don't hang up yourself on the fact that it's shojo though, it's very universal and doesn't contain much fluffy and pink stuff :P
My most recently finished series was Kagome Kagome. I was expecting this to be some kind of horror-manga but it was really just ecchi with a stupid story, stupid characters, lame attempts at portraying comedic situations and ugly drawings with a small hint of horror. Just read anything by Junji Ito if you are looking for something containing horror.

Blank Slate started really crappy, but it got a tiny bit better towards the end. The main idea was interesting, but the execution stunk.

I Shall Never Return
A great early BL classic. Having watched the OVA, I wasn't expecting much but it turned out to be completely different. The manga was so deep. The main characters were so well developed and they kept on developing throughout the series. I liked the relationship between Ken and Ritsuro that I was hoping nothing would come between the two. I hope I can find a classic as good as this one again.

Arina Tanemura has a great job on this manga, and the art is amazing and wonderful as usual. I love all of Arina’s art, and her art is very awesome and wonderful. It has great romance developments for the main and supporting characters. This series captured my attention immediately because the plot is intriguing and interesting. The story has romance and emotional moments at the same time as usually, and it was nice to see them feel each other. I don’t think that the main character, Haine, was annoying because I find it she is an interesting character. I think the characters were developed well as some do mature throughout the story. 10/10

By the same author who did Ichigo 100%, this series was, to be expected, ecchi. It was really good, though, with great romance elements.

The last ones I've finished to read.
Fushigi Yuugi- It had plenty of lovable characters and a fascinating, dramatic story, so I was a bit sad to read its conclusion. Hopefully, Genbu Kaiden will have a happy ending just like Miaka's story had (though I find that highly doubtful).
MeruPuri- I was sad to see it end. Very sad. It was a cute and short series, and the romance certainly held impact.

The Gentlemen's Alliance was the last manga series I finished. As much as I loved the first ten volumes, the final volume was. . .lackluster. Sure, I still liked it, but the ending just didn't do the series justice (in my opinion). It all came together too neatly -- and an open ending (instead of one with a wedding) might have done the series better justice. Maybe I'm just too much of a cynic now to enjoy shojo manga endings, I don't know. BUT Tanemura-sensei is still one of my favorite manga-ka, even so. I thought the characters (and their individual circumstances, flaws, and obstacles) were the best she had ever made. Here's hoping she continues to grow as a manga-ka in the years to come. ^_^

.hack//GU+ (http://myanimelist.net/manga/116/.hack//GU+) - 8/10.
It was an awesome adaption of the .hack//GU video games, I can't wait to play the games now.

I loved this series alot, Train was cool and Sven was funny.
The manga ending was definitely alot better than the anime ending.

It was an epic series :). I was sad when I read the last Chapter :'(.
You should definitely read Trigun + Trigun Maximum after watching the anime first ^_^.
.hack//Alcor - 8/10.
I wish it was more than 7 chapters long, oh well :(.

I finished the first season of Rosario Vampire and I mus admit that I loved it. It had its humor, seriousness, betrayals, action, ect... I recommended it to two of my friends and they've been reading and enjoying it too.

I read some of Arina Tanemura's oldest available works over the weekend:
Short-Tempered Melancholic and I.O.N.
Sweet stuff. ^_^
I also read a compilation of Mitsuru Adachi short stories called Short Program 2. Some of the stories were really poignant and memorable, but others really really weren't.

What a cute series! I think I loved it even more because it was the first shoujo series I started. The length was perfect (13 volumes) and the characters were likable. Despite being a manga series, the storyline itself was realistic and overall, I just really enjoyed it and am sad to see it over.

It was an excellent series, if you can get past the "pretty boy" looks for the main characters.

Finished Tetragrammaton Labyrinth a couple days ago. I like how there was a good amount of Action. It was kind of wierd how some characters played out as well. Overall, I enjoyed it. 6 seems like enough volumes, maybe if they elaborated more on the history, I would have liked it even more.

I read a one-volume manga called Wanted! by Matsuri Hino, on Saturday. It was ok but I didn't really like some aspects to it. :/
I just finished Full Moon o Sagashite! (Arina Tanemura)
I misplaced the last two volumes until recently (misplaced on my bookshelf!!), so it's been years since I started reading it!
It was a very emotional ending, so I had tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat...
...then got worried about throat cancer. This series gets to my hypochondriac / medical phobia self.
But it was a really good story! :)
I wonder if I can find any more shoujo adventure stories, and non-fighting magical girl stories.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Negima! not over in Japan, so unless you consider Negima! finished because you're giving up on the series, then listing it in your post was an error. Why rate it when it's not done?

I sense hostility in the air... I suppose you're right about it being an error listing it in my post, but there are currently only 27 volumes released in Europe. I wonder if you would've reacted differently if I had given it a higher rating.

no hostility at all. I think Negima's a mediocre series to begin with, so Im not hating on your comment. I was just pointing out that negima isn't a completed series yet. I'm just very uptight about facts. :P

This weekend I read Lady Snowblood (Shurayukihime) vols 1 - 4, since I watched a Sasori film on Friday and I got a real Lone Wolf & Cub vibe from it, and the woman who played Matsu in the film starred as Lady Snowblood in those films... so I remembered I had all 4 vols of Lady Snowblood sitting on my shelf waiting to be read, which I knew the Lone Wolf & Cub guy had also written.
It just seemed the next logical step. ^_^
So... I read all 4 vols.
Hmm.
It contains a lot of sex and violence, more sex than I was expecting.
Also seemed educational in places, about the historical period and in particular just how resistant Japan was to change from the Western world, as well as for what reasons.
Overall, I guess I didn't really get into it. I guess I was expecting something like other old assassin manga; taking the reader through a series of cold, methodical and meticulous assassinations, but I found Oyuki's methods often too twisted and warped.
It's one of these old series where the main character is so overpowered and seemingly immortal that you never really get a sense of danger. Sure she might get into bad situations for a while but it's usually part of her plan. And an opportunity for the artist to draw some compromising images. There was a sense of danger in a story near the end, so I thought it improved at that point.
I found the sex scenes unusually unerotic.
I mean, all the right elements were there and I am not going to fault the artist (though we could have done with more appealing character designs than just the main character being attractive and everyone else kinda ugly)..... but it was so predatory and impersonal; everyone in this manga just sees other people as someone to exploit - financially or sexually or for social status - and/or someone to kill. People have actions and occasionally motives in terms of gain, but lack personality like its a good thing.
They may as well be robots.
I have noticed that when it comes to pro killers old in anime / manga they do tend to have sex scenes where the main character of the story does next to nothing and some woman latches herself onto them and they call that a sex scene. e.g. Golgo 13, MD Geist... Oyuki takes much more of an active role (btw almost exclusively with women) but it still seemed like some impersonal bodily function, often disjointed from the story and just there for the sake of it, I think that's another reason why I found it unappealing.
Plus she had sex with an older female nurse who really looked like Nagai Go, to me. Erk?! Why did she have to look like him?!
So yeah. Probably alright if you just want kinda messed up stuff. Overall not to my taste though.
I feel like for what it was, its confusing that it was disappointing.

I just finished reading Ranma 1/2 for the first time. (Yea it's kind of late to just be reading that but I only started in with anime about a year ago and manga even later.)
I really enjoyed the outrageous situations and I liked seeing Ranma's and Akane's relationship develop. I'm actually depressed now that it's over.
I'm new here by the way, this is my first post.

Not sure how long ago this series finished, but I read the last volume of Absolute Boyfriend.
I don't do a lot of shoujo, but this one was really funny and I didn't cringe at the art. I cracked up even after reading it a second time!
The ending, however felt REALLY rushed, and that did bug me. Time constraints aside, Yuu Watase even admitted she decided who the protagonist was going to be with at the last minute, and it showed.
But eh, overall I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars. =P

Finished reading a bunch of stuff recently:
Chibi Vampire: AirMail: It really pissed me off because I was expecting the whole book to be side stories about characters in the Karin universe, but it only took up half the book. The two other stories that came with the book were alright, particularly the second story.
Full Moon: A series I never got around to reading, mainly because I'm a guy and I wasn't so interested in shojo manga earlier in my life. I like the story a lot and think there should have been more character development, but it was nice for my first time reading it.
Gacha Gacha: This series was really wacky and I loved it. Lots of panty shots and fan service. If you are a guy, you might like it. lol.
Heaven's Will: I actually really like this manga. It really is disappointing that the creator didn't continue with it. I like the dark theme, and the characters aren't bad to look at either.
I.O.N: I thought this wasn't so bad for Tanemura's first fantasy series. The are was very amateur, but it's to be expected. The story's good as single chapter stories. I can't wait to read her new I.O.N chapter later .
The Lapis Lazuli Crown: I had some trouble with reading this one because I generally like reading manga, but this one was very text heavy. When a manga has to rely on a lot of text, you know that the art might suffer. I was surprised that there was a nice, sweet story buried under all the idle chat.
Pita-Ten Official Fanbooks: really nice character comics from different fans. Some of the fan art doesn't look good, but some make the characters looks better. Took me forever to find the second volume to complete the trilogy.
Samurai Deeper Kyo: I have been following this series for so many years, when it first came out bi monthly from Tokyopop all the way to when DelRey released the final 2 volumes. I like the ending, mainly because things to get resolved. It does leave it somewhat open for continuation, but I think it would only have to be about sub characters.
Time Stranger Kyoko: Another Tanemura series that I liked. Actually, I think I like most of her stuff. I wish she had continued the series because there were a lot more characters should could have had chapter focus on, but what could she do?
Tokyo Boys and Girls: A really quick read. The ending is very open to interpretation, but it does have a nice pace and I liked most of the characters.
Wild Ones: Another shojo series that I got into pretty late in the game. I like it a lot, mainly because it was funny, and Yakuza! who doesn't love yakuza?
