Was there? I saw the first season (25 eps, right?) and was wondering if there was a second. I think I read somewhere that there was but I am having trouble finding it. I found something called "Love hina again" but I think that was just an ova. So, was there a 2nd season and was the first season 25 eps with an ova called love hina again? Thanks

There was no second season, but there were two "special episodes" (the Christmas Special and Spring Special) that slot in after the TV series but before the Love Hina Again. Love Hina Again was indeed an OVA with 3 episodes.
Also, if I recall correctly, the TV series was only 24 episodes, with episode 25 being a DVD bonus.

Actually, there were 24 episodes of season 1 of Love Hina. After that, there was the christmas movie followed by a three epsiode OVA series and then it concluded with a final movie. Episode 25 was a bonus episode that was a direct to DVD episode, I'm guessing because it was a bonus episode on the Chstmas movie DVD.
According to Production IG, because of a post I made on their forums before they were taken down, that the company has no interest in doing any further anime versions of the series. It's a shame really, because the anime doesn't finish the series off like the manga did.
manga spoiler
The manga series ended with Keitaru and Naru's wedding.

Well, I bought all 13 volumes of the YUA Season 1 DVD series including the Mini Specials DVD and the YUA Movie. I've just been rabid over the fact that they haven't released Season 2.

I don't know if IG Productions would ever consent to doing any more Love Hina anime because3 I had asked them that question through their forums before they took their forums down and they replied that they were done wiuth the series and that they had no plans on doing any more anime on this series.

Please hide that spoiler, kenichi. I am considering the series, and that is definitely a spoiler I would have preferred not to read. Perhaps if you hide it, you will save others from reading the spoiler.

I had heard that Episode 25 was actually a sort of 2nd season pilot that was turned down and then distributed. I don't know anything about the validity of that.

**IMPORTANT**
If you want to watch the series, or are watching it, save the "Love Hina Again" OVA for last, and DO watch it. It wraps up the series in a way that the final episode didn't.

Yeah, it's generally a good idea to watch stuff in the order it was released.

I agree with whoever said to read the manga. When I first watched the Love Hina anime (in 2004 maybe?), I wasn't really into manga at all, but I eventually started collecting the manga and it was fantastic. I've heard Tokyopop did a bad job translating it, but it's still a great manga, and far better than the Love Hina anime.

The Love Hina manga goes for 14 volumes clear up until Keitaro gets married (I won't say who for spoilers) so it's definitely much better than an anime with no end.

I wish Ken Akamatsu will make other volumes of Love Hina Mangas... I like to read more... Its fun you know... And of course the movie about the other two volume... Sigh
@Gibb
Yeah... the manga is great... the story is more fun... but the flow of story is not that really arrange... so somehow, the flow of the story in some of the videos is better for me...

I remember Love Hina anime having poor sales numbers as being one of the first to be blamed on digital fansub distrubtion. I think it was the first series i watched on digisubs.

I think the anime had poor sales numbers because it was bad. The original series was poor when compared with the manga version and the American localisation just made it worse.
Edit: Oh, wait.
^Why bump a 10 month old thread with a post that's going to have to be deleted due to violating the rules?
You should read the manga. But you should buy it first.

Once again thread necro. This time by a blatant ad spammer who's messages have been deleted. Closed. If you wish to discuss the possibilities of a second Love Hina create a new thread.
