An entertaining little series. No real plot, just about four girls (a werewolf, a vampire, an android, and a witch) dealing with living in the human world. Cute with some fanservice (mainly in the opening) thrown in for good measure.

Jyu Oh Sei 2

I like this series. The noses are a bit odd, but you get used to them pretty quick (or maybe they are just better in the second episode). The first thing I thought of when I saw this series was "Lord of the Flies on a planetary scale" And with the second episode, I would add "with adults and not just children." I'm very interested to see where this series goes.

Who decided on the character design for that show? You can tell they're definitely going for the Elfen Lied effect, lol. Although the ridiculously cutesy characters are taken to a whole new level.

I actually like the character designs. One of the anime blogs (http://www.yayapapayaz.com/hontouni/) I read showed a picture of some CG from the games (http://yayapapayaz.com/stripey/higurashi/1-9.jpg) that Higurashi is based on, and the anime is actually a huge improvement.

On a side note, I LOVE the opening for this show.

I'm seeing a serious lack of Saiunkoku Monogatari in this thread. Give it a shot, people, it's really good so far.

Both so-so. And both have really long openings. Apparently, they felt like using full songs for openings rather than just TV sized edits. Tokko's opening was four minutes long and Himawari's was three. I don't know how I didn't notice that before.

EDIT: Watched Magical Pokaan 5 and 6 (9-12, technically, since each half is one episode). I hope episode 5 (9) is uncensored in the DVD release. That was a lot of steam and the way the scenes were shot, I can't imagine that was the original intention.

TOKKO 4 - getting better, but still a mediocre series
Fate/Stay Night 20 - in terms of plot, this was a "meh" episode. But I lawled at a few points.
Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni 7 - Another good episode messing with your mind. I don't want to wait a week to see the end of this arc. :(
