The only one I've seen that I felt worth the time is this one - http://www.evangelion-armageddon.com/Musikvideos.php#2 - Rammstein's Engel, in the original German

Engel! Yup... thats my favourite too.
I just found an amazing AMV.
Forsaken Evangelion (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=100301)
The download link:
Download it (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/download.php?v=100301&d=59527&url=http%3A%2F%2Fitazz.net%2Ffiles%2FClo do%2FAMV%2FAnime_zz_Forsaken_Evangelion_ by_Clodo_zz_NoSub_HQ.avi)
Note: You have to be a anime music videos member to download it, but the membership is free.
Its basically a wonderfully composed selection of scenes from EoE, in the same order as in the movie itself. In other words, a 6 minute summary of the entire movie, with all of the emotional impact of EoE, in full renewal quality! (The file is 132 MB :D) And the music is good too... very haunting.

I personally liked this one, compared to the heavier rock Eva AMVs out there.

Brand new, never been seen before. And I found it first. :P

Try this one:

It starts off kinda slow, but it picks up.

I saw one ages ago (It's either in my AWA 2 or 3 collection) for New Order's True Faith, which is is awesome given the technology the author was probably working with at the time. Since the widespread usage of computers has increased, Brad DeMoss's (I think Brad did it...) video of Eva to the Star Wars Episode I trailer was fairly cool.
The most entertaining one I've seen was done to Weird Al's I think I'm A Clone Now.

Wouldn't something like an AMV feature a singer or group instead of a song name? In this case, it would feature Queen. :naughty:

It is my belief that Evangelion and rock music don't mix, despite the fact I like both, just not together.

Ever heard of Spike--Revisited? You have to be an AMV.org member to watch it, but I thought it was pretty damn cool. Watch it if you can track it down.
(p.s. not Eva related in any way).

Here's a couple of silly one's I've always loved...it's been several years since I first found them, and they still make me laugh
Weird Al Yankovich - "Gump"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_sgm2IMH_E
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut - "La Resistance"

I do like the "La Resistance" video, but there's another version of the same combination that I think is a little bit funnier, actually.

Youtube videos have pretty bad quality, I gotta say. I recommend looking up these videos on animemusicvideos.org for better quality.

I've seen that version too, actually...I'm just fond of the other one because it was one of the first Eva AMVs I ever saw (around...5 years ago I think?)
Somewhere in the abyss of my room I have a burned CD with a whole bunch of AMVs from way back...I'll need to go hunt it down now!

One of the coolest ones I've seen is the "Dueling Videos: Under Ice". Here's the YouTube link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-qtKtP2F-4
Dude's also got a 70MB Hi-def version on his website that is freakin' sweet. Anyway, this one combines NGE and FLCL, and it's a blast. NGE is tied to "Ice, Ice Baby" and FLCL is ties to Queen's "Under Pressure." It's really cool how the guy did it.

Actually, I find AMVs to be the perfect case of a few islands of gems amongst a sea of crap.

This is also one of my favorites. But I would like to reiterate the difference in quality. Signing up for animemusicvideos.org is free, so there's really no disadvantage. Plus it's neat because the author talks about his AMV, and you get to know a bit more about it.
