Your lineart looks gorgeous, and the clothes folds and such too :)

How come the rest of the images on your site don't look up to par? 0.o?

And oh the Naruto looking character... I think his lower body is too short.

yknow if you're going to use a reference picture you should probably state that in a comment or in the title ...

i'm sure Mr. Kim Hyung Tae would appreciate it (in reference to above picture)

i'm not sure if you can arrange your gallery but you should proabably separate your original drawings from the ones you use a reference for (and of course mention the source material), otherwise people might accuse you of plagiarism

Shiroiyuki
May 7th, 2006, 09:39 PM
Yes, but the mere fact that you tried to pass off this 'referenced' artwork as your own, leaves me unsettled.

HallsAvenger
May 8th, 2006, 09:57 AM
Yea i think many people know about magna carta and were the pic was from so i wasnt trying to bs anyone.

Copied from Magna Carta... I noted there're discrepancies in your lineart, some of them looks hella cool... the others are a number of levels below... I sure hope it's not because you're copying stuff...

Shiroiyuki

Yea i think many people know about magna carta and were the pic was from so i wasnt trying to bs anyone.

I don't agree. I didn't know about Magna Carta--or at least enough about it to know that the pic you stole was from the game. You WERE trying to pass it off for your own, otherwise you would have stated where EXACTLY it was from, and that you used an actual picture for reference.

I went to your blog site, and I searched for said picture. When I found it, all there was, was the picture, the date you posted it, and the words 'PROBLEM SENDING'. Yeah, that really says you're not the original artist <_<.

You tried to deceive people who didn't know it was from Magna Carta....and not only FROM Manga Carta, but an actual picture DRAWN BY THE ORIGINAL ARTIST THAT YOU COPIED FROM EXACTLY.

HAHA! Found it! Took a long time to find a picture hosted on a working site--but I did it! Check it out....almost an EXACT copy!

Now tell me you didn't copy it, cheater.

HallsAvenger
May 8th, 2006, 05:41 PM
uhh when did i say i didnt copy it -____-

Shiroiyuki
May 8th, 2006, 05:51 PM
But not claiming it came from a reference picture, you were trying to convince people it was yours. I'd say that was just the same as denying coping.

easy guys i think its just a miscommunication here  ...that magna carta pic reminds me... i should play more rf online

bowaZi
May 8th, 2006, 07:14 PM
rf online is a horrible level grind ... plus the game only begins at lvl 30 and if you forget to level up your skills then your character becomes useless and you have to start over

it looks pretty though

Wow some ppl just dont know when to quit -___- listen here shiroiyuki just leave me alone, my god its just a pic i drew im not trying to steal drawing. I drew the pic just because I like the guys art work. btw I didnt know about giving references i posted that pic last year. Im new to this stuff I didnt expect people like yourself all crazy about it just relax ill put a refernce and i dont cheat -______- i just draw as good as i can get with.

HallsAvenger
May 8th, 2006, 07:28 PM

VidelCoolGirl
May 8th, 2006, 08:07 PM
Age doesnt matter. I'm kinda on her side. She's just saying if you draw a pic, thats already been done, just say, "its an adaptation, or inspired by..." Dont just not mention it.

HallsAvenger
May 8th, 2006, 08:13 PM
Yea I didnt know that I needed to put that but i will next time im drawing an air gear picture ill put the picture's thing beside it so I dont have this situation again Im kinda sorry Iever drew that pic now -___-. Wont happen again.

You know, even if you are that young--you should know better from right and wrong.

Even fanfiction writers know enough to put a disclaimer on their work.

VidelCoolGirl
May 8th, 2006, 09:00 PM
Disclaimers are usually a given now. Some people dont even bother. but dont sweat it too much, just be careful next time.

HallsAvenger
May 9th, 2006, 09:20 PM
.__. disclaimer srry im so not smart T____T. plz tell me what a disclaimer is

Shiroiyuki
May 9th, 2006, 10:12 PM
A disclaimer is a piece of writing before (in this case) the artwork, telling whoever may view it that the artwork does not belong to you, and that you used this character without permission. It's so that people don't sue you. Usually, fanart doesn't require such things, as the artist only uses the character designs, and not the exact pose/style of drawing.

But, in this case, where you clearly copied the picture almost exactly, you should at least state where it came from, and that it was not your original idea/concept.
