This new Fushigi Yuugi-based video game had been recently released in the market by Idea Factory, has anyone played it?!? It was released for the Playstation 2 sometime last year in Japan, and I must say that it's such a gorgeous RPG with anime style drawings never before seen in Genbu Kaiden; I absolutely love it!! I haven't played it yet, but I look forward to importing it soon if it doesn't get released domestically.
In this game, you play as Mariko and find yourself transported into a strange new world via a magic mirror. In order to return home, you'll have to work with a number of male characters and make your way to the Genbu Holy Land. At first I thought Mariko was a younger Suzuno, but it turns out that she's the main character of the story in this alternate story. If you look into the links, they have some totally amazing images of the game and the art used for Takiko, Rumido, and even other characters I haven't seen before. Its certainly very interesting.
Here are a few links to the game...

This game looks very exciting, but you'd have to import it to play it. It would be like a dream come true of this was actually released domestically in English. Its certainly very interesting considering the unique art, and perhaps this game might give way for Studio Pierrot to animate the Genbu Kaiden manga one day. ^_^
