Who is looking foward to the first FPA on the DS? I for one am looking foward to the wi-fi, plus the newly announced voice chat (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6143981.html). :)Not that it matters, the graphics are also looking out to be pretty swell too.
But now that there is voice chat, do we really need the protective friend codes? People already exchange their friend codes online anyways, and I'm pretty sure Nintendo is aware of this. I just hope they re-think this for the Revolution, and make it more like Xbox Live's friend list setup.
I guess this 2 part thread, but oh well.

I think I will buy this game the day it comes out. I've been itching for it ever since I played the First Hunt demo in a store.

I probably won't get it because the demo annoyed me.

Dagoth, it's been over a year since the demo was released. Even the Pax demo was a massive improvement over it and that is almost a year old now too. That logic is kinda' stupid, no?
As for the FC comment, they don't exist in Hunters. And Nintendo already said there will be no FC system for Revolution. That's why they added parental hardware based locks.

Yeah, it is. I almost passed up Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver because I played a really crappy, stupid demo. When the final game was released, it was magnificent.

My excitiment and anticpation grows daily for this game. Comes out monday the 20th, I need to reserve it so I ensure I can pick up a copy on that monday instead of waiting till later in the week.. Maybe we'll have an occassional AN deathmatch on Wi-Fi.
Edit, here's a link to some sleek MPH Wallpapers..http://www.samus.co.uk/downloads/mp_hunters.shtml

It's not a FPA. It's a shooter. Its gameplay is much different from Metroid Prime. The focus is on multiplayer and combat, not exploration.

Well, 11 days until MP:H is released. I plan on picking up a copy along with a WIFI adpator. It's gonna be fun, they've really outdone it with the multiplayer.

I played the demo at the store a couple days ago (the new demo, not that First Hunt crap) and it is amazing. They've improved the game in every way, and I'm quite exicted to get it. They also brought back scanning, which is an essential part of Metroid Prime.

MPH Offical Site (http://www.metroidhunters.com/launch/index.jsp) = Kickass site. I think the new hunters are varied and add a lot to the multiplayer and it will be a blast. This game will own us DS heads.

Naturally, I'm going to be playing as Samus; she is the main character after all.

Keeping you guys updated, not that many of you care. ;)
I picked up this game and the WIFI connector today at Best Buy, and I must say I am impressed with this game. Multiplayer so far is a blast, lag free, and the players aren't cheap (yet). Morph ball fights are pretty damn fun, even though sometimes it's hard to see what's happening when 4 people are rolling around bombing each other. And if you’re setting this game down because of the controls, give it some time. I hated the controls when I bought the game earlier today, now I absolutely adore them. Give it a try if it was a turn off for the game.
About the WIFI adapter. It was easy to install, but if you have EZ firewall it's going to give the USB WIFI connection hell. Other than that, I can play anywhere in my house and get a perfect signal.
I'm one happy Nintendo DS owner right now. :)
PS. Now I can play Animal Crossing!

Picked this game up today too. I need to get a WiFI connector. May get one in the next few weeks. Then we'll rock online Nintendo WFC.

I never got the WiFi adaptor to work properly, but I bought a wireless router, which I'll install sometime soon. The game is quite awesome thus far.

Which adapter/connector would you guys recommend for a laptop/ Nintendo DS in a college dorm where I need to input a password to acess the web anywhere on campus? Is the Ninetndo WiFi adapter compatible at all with the Sony PSP or other WiFi enabled devices?? Thank you for your input!

Sadly, no. It only works for the DS, and nothing else. I heard you can buy other USB adapters which turns your labtop/desktop into a hot sopt, but they cost a lot more. That's all I know really.
The Nintendo one works well though.

While I'm going to have to wait awhile to pick this up ($$$), I'm looking forward to the chance in the near future to add it to my Metroid & DS collections.
Go get 'em Samus!

wee! five month old thread bump!
Question: Does anyone have a problem with losing their grip on their DS while playing Prime hunters? I don't know if I'm pressing too hard on the screen or what, but when I'm trying to strafe around with the D-pad, and use the stylus to aim, I find myself losing my grip, and have to kinda cradle my DS between my pinky and the other three fingers of my hand (the thumb being on the d-pad, naturally). I find this to be fairly uncomfortable. Any suggestions to reduce slippage or help maintain some kind of balance? Also, does anyone have this problem on a regular DS? I'm playing it on the DS Lite, so that may be why I'm losing my grip.

When I play, I just sit in my chair, with my hands firmly balanced on my knees. That seems to work just fine for me.

I found playing Super Mario Bros (demo) on a regular DS awkward so I assume the same would apply to Metroid, especially since you use the touch screen
