Ok, as tired as everyone is with the FMA opening over and over again, does anyone else here like Laruku? I love them, my currently second favorite ATM. Favorite songs include Killing Me, Jyu Eno Shoutai, Drivers High, Blurry Eyes, New World, Neo Universe, Ready Steady Go, Spirit Dreams Inside, Stay Away, and more. The group is made of:
1 part Hyde for Vocalist
1 part Tetsu for bass
1 part Ken for guitar
1 part Yukihiro for percussion
Their songs were featured on, as said, Full Metal Alchemist. Their song, Driver's High was the opening to GTO, and Blurry Eyes was the opening to DNA². Spirits Dream Inside was on the not so popularly liked Final Fantasy movie. This band is well overpopular in Japan, so if you aren't aware of them, you owe it to yourself to hear some of their music.

Did anyone get their new album "AWAKE"?

i prefer their older albums to the new ones, though the new albums are good too. get "Dune" whenever you get the chance. i swear you wont regret it. "as if in a dream" is the best song they ever made - in my opinion.
...yes i have "awake"...

I've had it for quite a while. It's really good, but it's too bad that "Link" wasn't on it... I <3 that song! :) Anywho, I like their older stuff as well. I also like Hyde's solo stuff, as well as S.O.A.P.

I absolutely love those guys!!! I love Hyde' s voice.
I can' t believe how much animes has used their songs. The lyrics are pretty awesome too. (well, I basically love a song based on the lyrics first, so)
Their musics video are good too.
PS: I' m not tired of "ready steady go" from FMA. In fact, I' m listening to the song non-stop those days.

Lol, well, it was well overplayed on FMA so i figure SOME people would be sick of it XD. the RSG PV was funny. Best one by them that I liked was New World. That video was nifty. ((New world, I bet there are some people out there against this song. IDK why but you would either hate it or love it...theres like...no one inbetween o.o))

I love L'arc en Ciel, I find it hard to find their stuff, but I've seen really cute clips of them as guest on Utaban (i think thats how you spell it). Thats where Hyde met Megumi (he acted so cute!!)
Has anyone seen their live in the USA DVD??

What's the one where each member of the band if in a classical painting with semi naked white women (greek/roman)? I like that video, and the music's tight.

Just recently got into L'Arc. I've heard of them before, but it wasn't until I heard New World that I got REALLY into them. What a song. I like mostly all their stuff though. What a voice HYDE has. Amazing.

Hyde's solo song, Season's Call from Blood+ is well worth a hear if you like his voice. He brings it out greatly, and the vocals are truly phenomincal.
Video is boring, but the song, and his look are awesome, check it out:

I first heard of this group....yes you probably guessed it....When I heard them sing "Ready, Steady, Go" on Fullmetal Alchemist. I definately think I need to get some of their CDs. They Rock Out Loud! :D I never really listened to Japanese music, but I really like these guys so far. ^_^

I used to like them alot, now I kinda hate J-rock. They are so emo and crappy, I hate them. They sing so sad and ****, and it doesn't even sound good. This is one of the reasons I hate Jrock.

Listen to any form of rock. Ignore the loud instruments if you can and try to focus on the lyrics. A lot of the time they're "emo and crappy". :naughty:

Beatles + listening + ignoring instruments + focusing on lyrics = emo and crappy?

Actually some Beatles music IS emotional. I'm like superBeatlesfan.

No emotional music in jrock huh? Ever listen to XJAPAN? I dare you to listen to Tears and tell me that that isn't emotional...or Forever Love. Just because Dir En Grey might rub off that image, does NOT mean that all other bands do. Watch some music videos of theirs to make deductions. Yes, there are some, but don't hate all because of one or two bands. Psycho Le Cemu is another, watch their videos, nothing emo on them. They have a friggin blast of a time and they have fun. I could honestly go down a long list of bands that are not emo >_>

Wow, I just saw them and now I've decided I hate Jrock even more. They were all dressed like mideivil people and had strangely colored hair and just looked gross.

Whatever dude, to each their own. Atleast they aren't emo, go jam out to 50 cent... This topic if for Larcenciel, if you don't like them, then leave and dont return.

Sorry to bump up an old thread....
I was wondering if someone could help me with something. I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but here it goes...
I am looking for a dvd that has the video of their Dive to Blue song on it. It doesn't matter what region it is, I just want an official version.
If you want to PM me about it you, can. Thanks in advance.

I like l'arc well enough, but I seem to like their songs that arent as popular as the rest. Out of the songs Yukito listed: Killing Me, Jyu Eno Shoutai, Drivers High, Blurry Eyes, New World, Neo Universe, Ready Steady Go, Spirit Dreams Inside, Stay Away, the only one I like is Spirit Dreams Inside. The rest are probably my worst hated l'arc songs.
I really like the songs:
Anenome
Trust
Jojoushi
Ophelia
Hoshizora
Lost Heaven
Pieces
Niji
Spirit Dreams Inside
Flower
I guess I like their slower, more easy listening songs.
@Dazzle
Look into the "Ark: 15th Anniversary Expanded Edition (CD / DVD version)". It has Dive to Blue as one of the album tracks, so it might have it as a video as well. I cant find a track listing for the DVD tho.

...what, no love for As if in a Dream? oh well. i guess you kids are into the new stuff. although STAY AWAY gets a lot of playtime in my itunes.
speaking of emo, Mr. Children stopped playing the song "Surrender" at concerts due to the fact that people kill themselves after listening to it. top that, emo fans.
