Who is your favorite InuYasha villain? I liked the Shichinin-tai a lot, and my favorite one of them was Jakotsu. I also liked Naraku and Menomaru. Crazy guy. And pretty much all of Naraku's incarnations were cool.

Yeah the Shichinintai were great weren't they? I liked Bankotsu myself but anyway...my favorite villain would have to be Takemaru of Setsuna
(3rd movie) am I the only one who thought that he looked like evil incarnate with the one horn? Anyways I really liked Takemaru.

My two favorite will likely always be Kagura and Hakudoushi. I'd like Naraku more but Kagura and Hakudoushi got their hands dirty and were way fun to read. Naraku kinda sits back and goes "ku ku ku" with his creepy-*** harpsichords. :P I like Byakuya, too, but not really thinkin' of him as a villain. He hasn't done that much in the way of villian...ery yet....

And I'd say Sesshoumaru or Kouga, too, but I don't think of them as villains.

I really liked the Shichinintai, too; and of the one-shot wonders, Goshiniki is my favorite. ^^

Oh, and does anyone know the name of that song that always plays when Kikyo is there that is really sad sounding? (Am I allowed to put two things on one thread?)
It's probably just "Miko Kikyou" (aka, 'Kikyou's theme'). The one that sounds like a sad violin playing, right?

yeah I like kagura too. Would you consider Koga a villian or a comrade? What that was stupid. Koga's cool though

I think sesshomaru is cool but, he annoys me after 5 minutes.(I don't like his snobby attitude)

Ah, that would make sense. Thank you very much. That song always makes me want to cry, even though Kikyou bugs me soooo much.

From the Band of Seven, I really like Suikotsu and Bankotsu, but it's hard to think of those two as villains. Well, that other personality of Suikotsu was evil.

I liked Muso, but that's only because he was cute. And, that face really wasn't his.

I sorta liked Hiten, the eldest Thunder brother. I love his English voice, and his bond with his little brother was cute.

Naraku. He's definitely tops. He hides alot and hardly ever shows the guts to come out and do anything himself, but he's just so completely sinister. And most of the bad things that happen are because of him. And let's not forget what he's done to the main characters. It all goes without saying.

I think I'd say Kagura. I liked the different faces she showed to different characters. And also I felt like her death was very powerful, particularly in the emotion it eventually evoked in Sesshoumaru.

I'd have to say Hiten is my favorite villan. I'm not really too sure why. Maybe it's because I really liked his power, or perhaps his devotion to his brother. Probably a combination of the two though :P

I like the guy who looks like a girl from the Band of Seven and he liked Inu Yahsa....sorry I forgot his name. Haven't seen Inu Yasha in awhile.

Uhm...let me see..

Menomaru: Totally sucked against the Bakuryuuha.
Ryuukossei: Was killed with a single atack of Inuyasha. (Bakuryuuha..)
Bankotsu: His demonic sword was...err...countered by Inuyasha's Bakuryuuha.
Souunga: Defeated by Inuyasha's Bakuryuuha and Sesshomaru's Bakuryuuha-wannabe technique.
Princess Kaguya: Defeated by Inuyasha's Bakuryuuha, however, Inuyasha had to power-up the twisters with a single Kaze no kizu.
The four war-gods: Were defeated by Kagome's useless arrow and a kick-assing KongouBakuryuuha. (Peraphs, they were bored of the over-used ending of Bakuryuuha+Kagome's arrow.)

I know, i'm a bit obsessed with the Bakuryuuha. However, you have to admit that Kappei's voice sounds cool when he shout the names of Inuyasha's techniques.

By the way, my favorite villain is.....Naraku!!! The only villain who is inmune to Inuyasha's Bakuryuuha.

Definitely Kagura. I think she is the most developed of the villains; she has a multi-faceted personality, something many of the other villains don't have. And, as throughim413 pointed out, her death was very powerful, and evoked a lot of emotions in the other characters, particularly Sesshoumaru.

Don't forget about Mouryoumaru, he is one of the strongest enemies that Inuyasha has ever faced. Peraphs even Naraku was afraid of Mou's incredible absorption powers. You know, not everyday you see a villain who has the power to steal the main character's techniques.

From the Band of seven, Jakotsu.

From Naraku's Band of Incarnation: Kagura (Can't u tell she my fav?), Kanna, and Naraku himself

Fron the Movies: Menomaru, and Takamaru of Setusnia

Ah, that music is so beautiful. That's my favorite Inuyasha score music. The Japanese instruments hit me right in the bullseye. ^^

IŽd vote for Bankotsu, i liked the way he acted through his battles, and how he treated his own fellows in order to obtain some power, dude! That atittude is what comes to my mind when i think in villains ^_^

Hiten, because he ate his own brother's heart. And that's the epitome of villian-ness.

definitely kagura. i don't know why, but i just love that girl, she's spunky and evil and more than just a plaything for naraku. apart from her i like jakotsu a lot. i think him and inuyasha would've made the perfectly lovely couple. kawaii na futari...

Kagura is great too. In fact, it seems like all of them are aweome in their own way. About the Jakotsu Inuyasha thing....I don't think they'd make a good couple. It's more fun how it is (well, until the end..). But then again, you never know...

i really didn't like toushuu, tho. inuyasha villains r generally more impressive than that. but i think ryuukossei was pretty good, he was cold and aristocratic. had a personality of his own. btw, who would u consider to be the worst inuyasha villain to date?

Thats a very good question. I didn't like the Mask of Flesh very much...if it counts as a villian.

I think that Bankotsu and Kagura are the best for many reasons :) I love bankotsu's scratchy voice it suits his character and is it just me or does he sound like Ray from an old show called beyblade lol i used to watch that show ;)
And Kagura because of her "mood swings" and change of sides you never knew what she was going to do next.

although he isnt really a villain deep down @ heart...sesshomaru is my fave. theres something about him that makes u want to run away and scream and yet @ the same time, just run over to him and braid his hair!!!

I think it's more accurate to say that he strays from his role as villain after he meets Rin. I think in the beginning, he was more of a villain, even deep down in his heart, but hearts can change, and meeting Rin changed his heart - and even, to an extent, his personality, albeit very subtly - for the better.

1. (See avatar!) Bankotsu is my #1 fave....I even cosplayed as him for Halloween

He's *human*, and that to me is something unique, as he's more than "evil-demon-#12,9684-with-special-magical-powers". He went in there and fought with his *fists*, man! And could have won, too...I think he gave Inuyasha the fight of his life!

He also has that tragic aspect to himself, too...he's not irreparably evil to me. He's complicated.

He's paid for the things he's done by losing his life twice. I just think Takehashi found it convenient to kill him off rather than work with him (unlike Kouga, who really doesn't seem to have to pay for ANYTHING he's done because of constantly making nice with Kagome...bleh. The whole dishonesty of that sickens me.). He could have been a *phenomenal* character if he were kept alive. He does NOT fall all over Kagome. ;)

Kagura, for all the reasons mentioned above. She's complicated and unpredictable.

I just can't find any of the newer villains as interesting as those two.

<soapbox>
And to answer the other question in this thread, the worst villain has GOT to be Kouga. I hate his existence. IMHO, he shouldn't even be alive at this point, and Kagome's tolerance of him in spite of all the morality she and the other Intu-tachi characters preach to Inuyasha is just annoying.

Sorry for stepping up to the soapbox, but those two characters are the reasons I can't bear watching anything except the Shichinintai arc.

I have to disagree with you on the aspect that I don't see Kouga as a villian. He may have came in and had his wolves eat an entire village of people when he first appeared, but on a whole he did more good than harm for the Inu Yasha team. He generally helped Inu Yasha in fighting the enemies off, and so to me he isn't really seen as a villian.

This is true. He's more of another "bad boy" than a villain. But he serves the Inu-tachi only to be around Kagome, and Kagome tolerates him because of all the attention she gets from him.

THerefore, his very presence still irks me. The only reason the Inu-tachi never treated him purely as a villain (I mean, how many Inuyasha villains went around killing villagers and frightening children?? I can't keep track.) is because of Kagome's (and also Takehashi's) dismissal of his behavior when he first appeared.

It's always been one triangle that I could never get. It's just too dishonest to be funny to me.

The Kagome-Kikiyou-Inu triangle is easier to handle for me because it really pushes Kagome to the moral breaking point quite often...and Kagome really needs to be broken. She's too perfect.

Kouga IMHO, needed to be repelled just like any other village-trashing villain for me to accept anythong to do with him as an interesting plot.

(And, BTW, this is the difference between Kouga and Inuyasha. When Inuyasha's ever harmed anyone, he's always been deeply, deeply regretful, even though he in a way can't help it when he loses control over he demonic nature. This is totally unlike Kouga, who doesn't ever seem to ever have a true change of heart about anything.)

I've read the spoiler threads a bit, though! ^_^ Yay!
