I was just in the mood for some light hearted ecchi fanservice, something that my collection is sorely lacking. I went into it with low expections. I've read all the bashing on the forums. :lol:

I thought that DearS had the potential to be decent. I was pretty much wrong about that. The manga on the other hand I enjoy a great deal. I could go into it, but I already have before. I can certainly understand a lack of money, I feel your pain there... I just thought I'd ask since I remember you mentioned it awhile back and I didn't know if you'd ever picked it up.

I read the manga after I finished the series the first time around and enjoyed it a great deal. I think I'd have to say however, that with the exception of the manga ending, I preferred the anime as a whole. I felt like they did a wonderful job of expanding on CLAMP's original story and lost very little in the transition. In any case, I'm glad to hear that you still want to pick it up and can't wait to hear your response once you do. ^_^

I went to Best Buy since I think my local Suncoast is closing down or doing more repairs*. Anyway, I ended up buying Fullmetal Alchemist Vol.7 which was one of three left and Ghost in the Shell: 2nd GIG Special Edition Vol.2. I all ready wacthed 2nd GIG and I'm in the process of re-watching FMA on DVD.

* They had to do alot of repairs since Hurricane Rita hit my area a few months ago and they had to close now and then for minor repairs...

My Suncoast closed and they didn't have jack. The closed on the 25 (less than a week ago), but they stopped taking shipments of anything around and sent back all their manga around the 10th.

The only thing they had that I was remotely interested in was the DNA2 boxset which I have since gotten (elsehwhere, for much cheaper at only $30) and wish I never bothered with it.

After they closed, I decided I would use online ordering for most of my future purchases and have purchased around $300 worth of stuff (DVD and manga) that is coming out at various points between now and April.

I agree with you for sure. Love those PS2 cases. I've only ever had one loose PS2 game and that case was very broken. I tested out the worst looking DVD and it played fine, so looks like Fancy Lala will work great when I get around to it. :)

I was looking through a local used DVD shop and was surprise to find quite a bit of anime there. Surprised because I didn't think there were any other anime fans in this dinky place and because the LE Chobits box and X TV box were amongst the selection. They were in pretty good condition and best of all, they were cheap, so I picked both boxes up plus Someday's Dreamers Vol. 2. Problem now is I have two copies of Vol. 1 of Chobits and X TV.

Oh well. Perhaps, I'll bring the extra copies to the shop along with a bunch of other DVDs (non-anime) that I don't watch anymore and work out some sort of trade. I've got my eye on that Magic User's Club boxset and couple volumes of Fighting Spirit he has.

No... because Dangaizer 3 is horrible.:lol: It's some of the only anime DVD's that I've ever sold. It's super cheap for a reason.
