What do you mean by opened? Is it that it wasn't shrink wrapped or what? If so, I don't think it is a big deal.

Yes, if opened DVDs, it wasn't shrink wrapped. I can't tell if which new or used DVDs they put. It seem they open it first. The part interesting was how come they keep two DVDs that it was sealed? Some volumes have few plastic that it was stuck to the case, so I can't remove it. I have a good reason to return it back. :P

I see. It's my first time to see it. I know I should not return it back, but I am not sure why they do that. I am just wanting all volumes were sealed rather than opened DVDs. As long these volumes are sealed, it's fine with me. As I said in my latest post, I can't tell you if they put new or used DVDs. If there's few unopened DVDs and found heavy scratches on few discs then it's used. Five of seven volumes are opened, so I suppose it's used and I don't want to use that one even if they say it's new.

I don't think they are used. I, for one, got my Ultra Maniac DVD box set and all the DVDs inside weren't shrink wrapped.

They were still sealed only the UPC code has been scratch through as the guy I bought them off of got them from a factory closeout sale or something like that when they went OOP .
Saved around $300.00 so a little scratch through the UPC code is no big deal.

Wow, this is really a good deal! I remember buying each set for $90 or so.

Even though they are suppose to be OOP, it is still easy to find a bundle of all four sets for around $100. That's why I'm in no hurry to buy mine. :)

Great show in my opinion if you liked the first ep then keep watching cause you will enjoy it, for me it didn't really start to make full sense till around ep 5 when it explained a few things and i just thought awesome, has some nice twists in it aswell ^_^

I finally got around to ordering the Black Rose Saga and the Apocalypse Saga box sets. I also got the Cowboy Bebop Remix Collection as a belated birthday present to myself. My Christmas present to myself was the Boogiepop Phantom Ultra Edition Box Set, with all extras intact, for $40. I got it used, with the only indication that it was, was that one of the top corners was dented and the lack of shrink wrap. Other then that, it looks brand new.

Well, I'll be damned. I never paid any attention to that when I watched my copy. However, upon a second viewing, they're right. Meh, oh well. The green tint doesn't bother me at all, so I'm going to continue buying the series. I love it that much. ^_^

I will, however, adjust my rating for the dvd itself at DVDAF; Viz should be ashamed of themselves. . .

If I had found Lain and Haibane Renmei while on my shopping spree they would have been mine too. Very nice :) I considered getting the Tenchi Muyo Ryo Ohki Collection and decided against it.

I wanted to make sure these both shipped out before I posted since I ordered from sites I've never used before.

If anyone is thinking about collecting MI, I think it's best to do so soon. I had a heck of a time tracking down the 5th boxset. I think there was a thread on the forums a little while back mentioning the series was going out-of-print. I think I looked at least 12 sites. One listed it as in-stock, but sent me the 4th boxset (which I actually needed so I didn't return it). Most either listed it as backordered/discontinued or it was only MI boxset missing from the site. Even VIZ's own webstore doesn't seem list it. Very frustrating. Crossing my fingers that I was sent the right set this time.

Had a similar experience with Ranma 1/2, but wasn't as stressed out about it since VIZ will release a thinpak for it at some point.

I thought Air was awesome, the movie leaves something to be desired, but the TV series is top notch IMO
