Sadly, no one has the rights for it yet or if they do, they haven't announced it.

So, IS the manga better? I just started watching the anime (i rented the first two dvds, so i just finished episode 4),and i really like the series so far. I know of a good scanlation site that has the manga, but i wanted to know if its better, so i dont end up just watching the dvd and re-reading the same thing in the manga. Also, 223 chapters is really long, im guessing the series is still going in Japan?

Yes, the manga is much better. For starters, I don't remember Kurono being such a prick in the manga. He wasn't the most upstanding citizen, but he wasn't the whiny douchebag he is in the anime either. Second, the anime ends around roughly chapter 100 during the Buddhist Temple Arc (albeit which changes and some sort of ending), while the manga goes much farther and the best stuff happens after that as you begin to find out the real purpose of Gantz and how you 'beat' Gantz's game of death.
As for re-reading the same thing, you'll re-read the same stuff up until around chapter 80 or 90, but I expect it changes somewhere around there. I've only seen up to episode 6 myself (despite having the entire series on DVD), so I don't know exactly where or how the stories diverge.

Its random, most of the time, the admins dont even catch it, and its not like its costing them money since there isnt an english manga, but i pm'd you the link just to be safe.
Im up to chapter 59, i like the manga so far, though i think the artist draws boobs way to big. Then again, the guy also does hentai manga, so i guess its to be expected.

I'm not sure that they care for unlicensed material, but the only sites I know of contain licensed material as well.

Im up to chapter 192, i gotta say, this is a really good manga. Normally i get tired of really long manga series, but with this series, im dreading that i only have 223 chapters, lol.
I noticed that the site i use shows the series being recently updated. So does that mean that this is still going in Japan?

The manga is still going in Japan. I stopped reading around chapter 208, but it looks like it will continue for at least another 50 chapters or so. I expect it will exceed 300 chapters.
I hope this series gets licensed soon.

It seems like something Dark Horse would get, but I wouldn't mind seeing it as part of Del Rey's Mature line up (if it's a Kodansha title, of couse).

Im guessing Young Jump isnt anyway related to Shonen Jump.
I'd rather see it on Tokyopop than Dark Horse, considering all Dark Horse's manga is $13.95 retail.

Young jump is the Adult version of shonen jump, made by the same publisher.

Hmm, well if Young Jump is made by the same publisher, maybe we'll see Gantz as a SJ Advanced title, like Death Note. I'd much rather have a $7.95 retail price.

I have heard the manga is great also. Today I got shocked when that statue basically killed everyone (In the anime)...

Yea, spoiler tags might be helpful.
Honestly, i thought the anime was kinda slow, and the ending was horrible.

That "Advanced" title is a marketing trick. Its standards are pretty much the same as regular SJ's, and there is no chance in hell that they would even consider picking up Gantz. Our best bet is either Del Ray or Dark Horse. I'm hoping for Dark Horse.

If Viz bothered licensing Gantz, it would be for the Signature line. They already have The Drifting Classroom shrinkwrapped and with "Explicit Content" clearly written on the title, so they could do the same thing for Gantz.
However, I agree that Del Rey or Dark Horse are more likely. I would be fine with either one.
