That's really the only arc that they don't tie up in the show, and I think it was one of the better arcs for them to cut off since any of the other ones would've felt even worse if they were left unfinished, particularly Queen Kei's since SHE'S THE ONE THEY START THE SHOW OFF WITH.

Or alternatively, finish them all. :P They didn't make a decision to cut the tiaki arc in favor of another arc completing, unfortunately the arc wasn't finished in the original material either :(

^ Reborn! (as far as the manga) has a very slow start and then finally starts to pick up on a storyline after about eight volumes or so. The beginning is all introduction to characters and their role in things. I couldn't really get into the anime, but I've been enjoying the manga. ^_^

Totally agree with you,Urusei yatsura is still ahead of its time in my opinion,its sheer cast of characters and madcap originality and masterful story telling especially later on in the series make it still streets ahead of anything that has tried to copy it,its a true one of a kind and the the only thing that does date is the animation but that cant be helped and anyway i,m a sucker for old-school anime so i love the old animation.:)

I'm still not that impressed with xxxHolic and I'm several episodes in now, it'll be a while before I finish. Also watching s-cry-ed, and considering watching Mushishi, but a while ago I watched the first episode and stopped watching. Is it worth while?

If you dont like xxxholic, you may not like mushishi. What part of xxxholic do you not like? The comedy/flip outs of watanuki, the romance, lack of action/fighting or the horror/supernatural. If it is the last you wont like mushishi (which is very good imo, and most people give it a 9-10/10 rating).

I think Watanuki is pretty funny sometimes. So possibly a lack of action/fighting or even the lack of any ability. All he seems to do is see spirits then use some mundane or aided method to achieve victory. And the animation is kind of irritating at times. Maybe I haven't seen enough, I'll give it another shot some time.

Oh also I'm not sure if I missed something but the guy he has helping him... what's the deal there. I mean sure his grandfather told him stories or w/e but he just accepts everything that is going on without question? Just seems odd. Not really a breaker for me, I could still love this anime, just not yet.

yeah I tried xxxholic and couldn't get into it either. Even though I LOVE the art and the head witch there is cool... the rest is boring and pointless. Tried getting into Tsubasa but that fell flat for me too. Mostly I didn't like either the Japanese nor the english voices and it just wasn't for me. I guess I prefer CCS over it.
