They need to make more eps before it can be licensed an put on DVD. This is entirely possible. I see more hope for a second Fruits Basket season then many others.

Maybe it'll happen when the manga's finished. (Manga ending spoliers)Though that wholeAkito being a girl thing will have to be left out, unless they do a voice modifer thing and he was just faking "his" voice. XD Also, the manga seems to be winding down as the curse is lefted from some of the Soumas. Finally, it seems Kyou/Toru is the pairing that will happen, since Yuki saw Toru as a much needed mother figure, yet more as a friend too.

Funimation wants more episodes made, since it was a good seller for them. I expect if they throw enough money at the Japanese, another season could happen.

^ second that. Though that main twist we know that would be HARD to fix. . . I think us rabid fruits basket fans would forgive them. They just need to tweak designs all little and all will be good!!

This is one of the few shows I DESPERATLY want to see more animated. I adore the manga.

I also heard that Laura Baiely (the english VA of Tohru) said that Funimation got together and sent Japan 1000 paper cranes! In hope that season two will be made!!
