How come when someone was raped in dark shell the girl with the rifle always killed them?

It could be the girl with the rifle was raped her self and she feels the girls must die because in the end they enjoyed the rape.

I own the set (the two volumes that made their way to America at least). Just re-watch the last minute of the second disc to hear the girl explain that she was just wondering what it would have been like if the end of WWII had given way to contested ownership of Japan instead of (relatively peaceful) occupation by a single dominant force. For instance, both the US and Russia wanted to gain something tangible from their victory and if they had not been able to agree on who controlled what, it's possible that they could have ended up fighting for control over Japan. Dark Shell doesn't mention the US or Russia by name, so I could be off. Maybe they were just referring to general anarchy from all over as a result of the Allies having been weakened to the point that they were unable to finish the job by the time they reached Japan.

What do you mean it's just a dream? Was the rape and war a dream or was it the peaceful time that's a dream? Sorry to dig up this old thread.

When you see them at the beach they are just showing you if this whole war didn't happen that these women would have led happy lives. The sniper wouldn't have been raped and her lover killed so she wouldn't have become so bitter but alas this was not to be. Bad things happen to good people and this is what this hentai is trying to show us.

This is one hentai that really has deep meaning behind it, if only things had turned out different is what it tries to get across to you.

Okay, I agree with Phantom. So listen to me because although loplop is usually on the ball on everything, in this case he is mistaken. It is just trying to show what could have been if the war hadn't torn Japan asunder, but the war and rape DID happen. Trust me.
