My first website!!

Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know that I have just completed my first website. It isn't the best in the world, but I think it is pretty good. The things featured on my site are: bios on anime characters I have made up, stories about the characters I have made up ( I only have two, and only one is finished), and pictures of my characters and of other anime. I worked pretty hard on this, and I invite everyone to go and check it out! The URL is http://wizholt.tripod.com and make sure you don't type in www. or it won't take you to the site.

Pretty good for a start, you should research a bit a graphic design to create a even better look for you page later on. :)

just like to point out its a shame pretty much all sights are confusing when you disable pictures

That's a good first attempt.

Some advice:
- remove the background music. It gets annoying. If you want music, put it on a secondary page.
- remove the floating text. It just waistes resources, and makes you look like a noob.
- get off Tripod. There are some good cheap hosts that won't put those ads on your pages.

Did you use a sitebuilder for that? Those things add loads of useless tags. Compare the amount of code on your page to this cleaned up version - http://www.geocities.com/ngefiction/wiz.html

Geocities is a better place to play around on compared to Tripod, as there are no popup ads.

Pick up a book called "Teach Yourself Visually: HTML" by Sherry W. Kinkoph - the best book to learn about html and javascript from scratch!
