After buying the Elfen Lied soundtrack, I've decided it's my favorite. The music is simply breathtaking. I can find a song to listen to fit any mood I'm in. Nothing like Shinkai to take your minds off of things.

After buying the _soundtrack_? I thought it was only available with the DVD in Japan, and not for individual sale? o_O
Bleh, anyway, yeah, it's a good soundtrack :)

Well, of course by "buying" I mean illegally downloading off of the internet because I'm a poor otaku living in the U.S.

Weell, Lilium's the only song I'm really familiar with from the series *hangs head in shame* but it doesn't mean I don't love it any less :O

Neji is a good one. Lilium (Saint Version) is probably my favorite track.

i would've liked to hear 2 more versions of Lilium on the soundtrack. The musicbox version and the solo violin version; the scene where kouta, his sister and lucy were in the train where all the flashbacks were coming together..something like that.

I'm more partial to Yakusoku myself, too. And the ultra freaky Jouzai is fun to listen to, too.
And I have the full version of Lilium :D

Finished the series, liked the music, much more than the series itself. Too much violence and the main feature of dicloniuses is very unrealistic, in my opinion.

I performed musicbox version by myself. It can be downloaded here (~20KB): LiliumMusicBox.it.
For listening to it you need some mod player, ModPlug is very good, for example.
Many thanks:
to Kayo Konishi and Yukio Kondo for the music,
to Ryusei for the transcription,
to Ichigo's Sheet Music,
to developers of Open Modplug Tracker.
With Open Modplug Tracker you can import it to .mp3, if you wish.
Edit: No more download

And I have the full version of Lilium :D
...Really? Where did you get it? This is something I absolutely must have.
Edit: Scratch that. Using my 1337 Googling skillz and unbreakable will, I was able to find it. Version I found kinda sucks though...it's like they took the normal song and added sound clips from the series into it. :/ There's a slight pause before some parts, and it's pretty annoying.

Nice =D

It looks like my ".it" musicbox version of Lilium has been downloaded about 80 times. I would be happy even with a half of that. So, I decided to improve this record. I used much better samples, and imported my work to more comfortable mp3 format.
Download page: LiliumMusicBox.
Enjoy
Edit: for new link see next my post

My mp3 music box version of Lilium was downloaded more than 200 times :w00t: until they remove the file. So I updated the link, and it is a test of new, hopefully better, free hosting service.

Old thread.
Yeah, I like your music box MP3. There's a new one at Gendou (http://gendou.com/amusic/), but it's a weird "Fast" version and I'm not sure I like it. I've been trying to rip sound clips from the episodes and put them together, but I've pretty much given up. It's damn near impossible, I tell you.

Lilium and Be Your Girl are the two most worthwhile songs on the CD, though you have to download the "long" version of Lilium in order to hear it.
Other than that, the other songs were nice, but they weren't fabulous. They didn't make me think, "Gee, what a good song."
If you haven't heard anything by Yuki Kajiura, you should check out the .hack//SIGN or NOIR soundtrack, or even her own CD "Fiction," her music is truly novel.
Not to say EL OST isn't nice, but it is not the best, in my opinion.
(And there is one torrent site that offers the OSt + the long version of Lilium, which sounded good to me.)

Bump.
Anyone know where I can find the full version of Lilium? By that, I mean the entire length of the song that plays near the end of episode 13. All the 'extended' and 'long' versions that I've found (youtube, music sites, etc.) are just songs that people edited together. The actual song that plays near the end of the series is a bit different. Its structure follows the Lilium Saint Version more.
