My overall thoughts:

The picture quality wasn't great (obvious visible blockiness in many places) but I was there for the music.

The songs I think of as core Macross 7 Fire Bomber songs - the Nekki Basara rock songs - were super ultra mega amazingly awesome, the songs in the middle of the concert with Kajiura Chie singing nearly put me to sleep. They were a really different style, kind of grungy, mostly boring.

Fukuyama Yoshiki *loves* his guitar, it is clear when watching him perform. A lot of the time he plays this really old and battered looking guitar - I have the feeling he's had that guitar with him through thick and thin for years. It's good to see someone having so much fun just from performing, and from having an appreciative audience - he really does have the spirit of Nekki Basara in him!
