Your thoughts?
I have only seen DVD1 so far. I was 'unsure' what to expect from this series, thats why I didnt buy more. So far After 4 episodes I am rather enjoying this series. They Idea is out their and unlike anything I have seen before, but it seems to be pretty good. Is it worth finishing tho? ^_^

I didn't really like this show, mostly because I didn't like the main couple together and the comedy wasn't that funny to me. But if you like it so far then you might as well continue...

I have yet to see it because I have a problem with cross-dresses. The only person that is "ok" in my book was in You're Under Arrest the character called Aoi. ;)

... the series is licensed? -_-;
I liked it, though I did feel the ending left things too open as far as the future of the characters.

I've been really interested in seeing this because the story looks like something I'd like a lot. However, I've heard that it has a sad ending. I don't like depressing stuff.

^The ending is not that bad; it’s just left wide open. Don’t let that bother you either.

^ If that's the case, then I'll probably get in sometime in the future.

I don't think the Strawberry Eggs ending was either sad or depressing at all.
It was more like emotional, if you catch my drift.

I agree with Animematt. I loved it. I also reccomend you buy the rest of the series.

I liked the show because of its drama more than the comedy.
The show isn't entirely laugh-out-loud funny stuff all the time, but it's still cutely done. Just like with Hand Maid May, which was done by the same people who made Strawberry Eggs.

The show is simply sensational.

I wish there was a season 2.
It s a great show.
Does anyone know if someone got the rights to it and are gonna do the 2nd season?

It's extremely unlikely since the animation studio has long since gone bankrupt. Not enough people watched their shows :(

It was decent. I can't say I quite enjoyed it as some of the other people in this thread seem to, though...

If you search, there are other IMMSE threads that talks about a Live Action idea, which would be a TV series.
I am in favor of a IMMSE type LA show.

An american live action version of this show will be the worst show and idea ever

Am I the only one that finds it interesting that with all the "planned" Live ACtion adaptions of anime shows, that not one single actual production shot\trailer has been seen? The closest we saw was WETA's design drawings.

I haven't really heard anything said otherwise. Which is a shame I wanted to see what they would've made out of it...

Well think about it, the movie had a 80-90% chance of bombing, you're a production studio, you wanna spend 100 million on it? I'd say its as good as dead

How would an american Strawberry eggs be a good idea? They would cast bignamed actors who are white, to play Japanese characters? or would they make new American characters and have it set in America? Cause High School (junior high?) is very very different in each country. I have yet to hear an actual good idea supporting the idea of a live action IMM SE

Besiseds from the fact that 100 million seems far fetched I mean Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust cost 14,539,000.00 $$ roughfly but I mean 100 million soesnt seem in the realm of possibility but I saw a preview for this show back in the day when hellsing DVD 1 came out is this worth buying I cant help but feel sorry for the main character yet lauh at his actions..... SO YES OR NO? ^_^

I was really interested in this series...I wonder if Geneon will ever release a box set? (Probably not...) :(

My take on Strawberry Eggs (http://www.animenation.net/forums/showthread.php?t=168158&highlight=Strawberry+Eggs) from last year. I originally started the thread, but it got merged with another, thus the different title.
Myself and several other folks gave their opinions on it.
It's doubtful Geneon feels it is necessary to box this one. It's not a high-profile, overly popular title, like Trigun or Cardcaptor Sakura, (the latter getting the long-needed and asked-for box set treatment, x2 )
Despite no box in the forseaable future, I would still say this series is worth a look.

i think more people need to check this show out. i just finished the series and i think it's top notch. very funny imo.
it seems underrated though. sadly not many people seem to have seen it.
i was one of those people too untill just a little while ago. i was kinda turned off by the name and the concept of the show. i'm really glad i checked it out though.

The ending wasn't a complete conclusion, but it left you some hope that he'd come back.
The comedy wasn't the best, but some of it was really funny. I like the teacher, but not the old hag. The romantic relationships were good too.

I thought it was a well written anime and thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd also recommend Otome wa boku ni koishiteru to anybody who likes I My Me Strawberry Eggs. It's about a boy who dresses up as a girl to go to an all girl college. It's not perverted at all, as would seem from the premise.

I have watched both and youa re right they are both well done without going overboard in fanservice etc... IIRC Otome wa boku is getting a second series... Can't wait to see that :).

I thought it was a well written anime and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought I My Me! Strawberry Eggs coverd very unusual and potentially "touchy" subjects (cross-dressing, lesbianism, and ephebophilia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ephebophilia)) pretty tastefully. It could have degenerated in a very shallow and "ecchi" sort of series, but I actually thought it was rather well done. By the end of the anime I actually found myself really caring about what happened to Hibiki and Fūko.
I'd also recommend Otome wa boku ni koishiteru to anybody who likes I My Me Strawberry Eggs.
I actually just watched this whole series yesterday. I'd been wadding through Gundam Seed Destiny and felt I really needed a break from all the violence and angst. I found Otoboku to be just what I wanted. Some likeable characters, funny situations, but nothing too emotional, deep or angsty. Just a fun, entertaining series.
I have heard that there is going to be a 13th, "bonus" episode in the final disk of the Japanese DVD release in April 2007. I'm looking forward to checking out the fansub of that when it comes out. :)
