I just got it! Use a handball to play blitzball because it's not to heavy or to light and it's just right for the game! All you need now is either a snorkle or some diving gear(rent out a pool for a few hours and play blitzball!).

I went to the pool yesterday, with my four friends (no, they are not my only friends, the others just didn't want to come, ok.), Tidus, Lulu and Rikku (yes, the names had been changed). We tried the water-filled ball, it was a bit heavy, but it worked!!! My team won 3-2!!! ^_^

The lifeguard thought we were crazy:

The lifeguard was really intrested, he watched us for ages... He even got use to how crazy it was and you could sort of tell that he wanted to join in too... But he never asked to play so we really couldn't care less.

Blitzball is actually an unofficial sport in Japan...

A few richies decided to make a blitzball by filling a ball with some type of gas that allowed the ball to sink under water, but also be light and heavy enough at the same time, (Somehow.) so that it could be thrown around under water at high speeds. I think it was Noboru Watanabe who came up with the ball.

It's actually quite fun, though it cost about 1 million yen per game. I guess he trying to make it a real sport. I bet it will become real popular. Sorry, I but I can't find any American sponsered website that have any thing about Watanabe's creation.

Yep, about $700, that's for one game. Teams are supposed to be under construction. But it's hard, because It's not very easy to swim fast under water, or hit somebody. I hear that the water is treated with a special solution called Sliviaze, or something.

How do they breathe? I mean, if it's in a giant sphere, you can't really use a snorkel... Right? And if they had a huge oxygen tank on their backs, it would way them down. Do they learn to hold their breath for like 5mins?

I envy you all, it seems all most all of you on this thread have friends that like anime and final fantasy and i have none damn it!! ive tryed to get my girlfriend into it (forcing her to play VII - X excluding IX) but i could never get her to attempt to play real live blitzball. btw i have these torpedo things for the pool that fly through the water fast and sometimes hurt when they hit you, if they could craft a ball like that with the same aero dynamic like feel it would be perfect with those mini air filter things you stick on your mouth, and blitzball is actually not as 3-D as it looks, they dont move up and down so you dont need a giant *** sphere, yeah i got it all figured it :) , when i become a super millionaire i shall design it and envite you all. friggin awesome

As for your friends, you should just introduce them to it, and if they don't like it then thats too bad... (i have lots friends that don't like FF or anime) I introduced my best friends to manga and anime, so it's worth a try.

About the mini rebreather used in blitzball in JP. what would happen if someone accidentally tackle you and damage the minirebreather. With the shock from the force could really cause you to drown.

I've started playing FFVII for the first time, so I'll be enjoying FFAC when my friend'll show it to me :)

And you know you've played too much FF when you get irritated if you miss a single item, clue or side-plot point on your first play through ( I had to severly discipline myself here or else I would have played FFVII with a walkthrought -_-; )

I've already completed FFX ( sorta, I got to Sin, but never beat him and saw my friend kill the last boss. I played the entire game at my friend's house too ^_^ )
