I haven't seen it yet and I'm wondering if it's worth getting. I've heard from a couple people that it's just kinda 'eh'.

If you like Naruto, get it. It's better to watch it and get your own opinion on it rather than just going only by the opinions of others when it comes to a series that you watch. I'm assuming that you do watch Naruto. If you don't, it probably won't make much sense to you.

It's nothing special, but enjoyable enough.

Okay, this is coming from a non Naruto fan (but at the same time, I don't hate the series) if you like Naruto, then go right ahead, but expect that it won't get good until the last moments. Now, if you're sorta a fan, then as long as you throw common sense out the window, then you'll like it also

It depends really. If you liked the Dragonball Z movies, then you'll probably like the Naruto movies. They have similar themes that tend to be cliche across most shounen series' movies.

The difference is unlike most of the Dragonball Z movies, the Naruto movie was actually watchable. Seriously, the DBZ movies rank up there with some of the worst moments in anime of all-time. They are bad bad bad. If the DBZ movies were a puppy I would rub its nose in itself and tell it to stop. Then I would kick it into oncoming traffic.
The Naruto movie was enjoyable. I'm not saying it was good or that it is something I plan on buying, but I enjoyed watching it. At least the animation, aside from one part where Naruto's mouth does not synch up with any possible combination of languages found on this planet, is pretty damn good. The story could be better, but it's engaging.
One major gripe for those of you who have seen it:
Sasuke should never have said that last line though. I'm refering to the "I made a crack Naruto, now it's up to you" line right before he passes out. That is totally out of character. Sasuke never acknowledges Naruto as being good enough to be on his level until they fight (the part currently airing in the anime). It just seemed so cheesy and out of character.

No, the DBZ movies are not only watchable, they're enjoyable. Except the Brolli movies. *shakes head* What were they thinking?

I thought the same thing. But it's kind of like how we all know that deep down Vegeta loves the main character like a brother. After all, Sasuke is Naruto's best friend, even if he's at that title just so Sasuke can kill his compadre.

I watched it a couple of days ago. I thought it was boring. The plot was really pathetic. Best thing it had going for it was that it wasn't plagued by painfully-long flashbacks.

i generally love flash backs, just not recently in the latest anime eps. where it basically keeps on repeating small information and doesnt really move the present.
I have yet to see the movie, but i am in the procces of getting it (runing low on internet download limit atm) even if its pretty pethetic ill probly find it good enough to watch.

That was the only one I really liked.

There were three Brolli movies though. Which did you like best? I can only hope it was the first one and not the other two that followed.

Indeed, the first was watchable. The second was a bit urgh, but the third, dear God...
Anyways, the earlier ones were kind of poor at times, but I think 9, 12 and 13 were pretty good considering the movies are just minivillain adventures.
And yes, they're similar in nature to the Naruto movie, if you hate DBZ don't let that statement put you off, just in the sense that the plot is weak and cliché, and it's simply an excuse for a few good battle/emotional moments.

Yeah, there are a good number of moments in the series far better than this movie in its entirety, but it's still a good fun Naruto experience that no fan's gonna not watch.

You know....I was thinking the exact same thing when I watched that scene...

Well on one of the manga covers it was advertising the Naruto movie and it did say, "In a perfect world..." Since that cover came up during the part when Naruto and Sasuke were fighting. So if they were living in a perfect world, then Naruto and Sasuke would've been able to work together like that and Sasuke wouldn't have been angry at all about deferring to Naruto to take care of that guy with the Rasengan.
If we're just basing it on canon though, yeah, it was out of character and I noticed that too.

I wouldn't say out of character, maybe a little, but he has seen Naruto finish what he's started a few times, and it doesn't neccessarily mean that he acknowledges that they're equal to leave Naruto to finish him off.

It kind of does doesn't it? I mean. He would have put in a lot more than just what he threw if he was really gonna fight him. All he did was break it, get smacked into a wall, and then let Naruto do his thang.

Personally I found the movie to be extremely boring compared to the series as a whole. The story and script were pretty bad so honestly I cant recommend this movie.

Wel I just saw it. It was different from the TV series. It was a drama and shonen shows don't fare well in that format, i.e. no emotion when they aren't trying o gauge each other's eyes out. But the action sequences were pretty good and the novelty was pretty interesting. A gathlind train...who'd have thunk it? Overall B/B-.

Drama?:P Naruto's had plenty of that sort of drama in it.;) There are also other shounen series that are pretty much drama.

Simple, if you like the Naruto show you'll like the movie. The movie is like a 90 minute episode with a boost in animation quaility and a tad bit different story then the usual.
