I just wanted some opinions...
What is your fav Inuyasha movie?
I personally like the second move the best it was cool and comedic
The first movie good fine sure, sure whatever
But I thought the third movie stunk like a pile of dead skunks!!!!
I mean it was rushed very jumpy from scene to scene and most of the good guys (Inuyasha, Miroku, Sango Shippo) were all over dramatic and out of character and how takemaru just moved on was stupid the whole movie was a crap load of crap with a cool sword that won't ever be seen again.
The dragon destruction wave was beastly but that's no redemtion fighting was okay too I guess
The only thing I really enjoyed was seeing inu's dad kick some butt :)
What do you think? :P

I dunno... I loved the way it looked, I guess the fact that Sesshy and Inuyasha fought together? I just guess we have very different tastes.

I loved the 3rd movie too. It was awesome. Of course, Sesshy is one of my favorite characters and I love seeing him and InuYasha interacting, so that influenced me a lot.

Well since I've only seen the first 2. I'd have to say the 1st movie was the best. The 2nd movie I don't think was mine because everyone talks about how *spoiler warning* (although I think most people know) Inuyasha and Kagome finally kiss. I think the 2nd movie was over rated.

I've always mentioned that I really have no favorite of the four movies; I like all four about the same, all for different reasons. Overally, I've enjoyed Guren no Houraijima (movie 4) and Kagami no Naka no Mugenjou (movie 2) as a whole. But the first I thought had the most emotional impact for me - I can never forget the scene by the tree - and the third I just love because it was so action packed, and I really liked Takemaru the most of all the movie enemies.

I've only seen the first two movies--so I cannot speak for the third or fourth--and between the first and second, I preferred the second movie. I'm not too sure what about it I liked so much (aside from the kiss).

I've never seen the third or fourth movies. Between InuYasha: Affections Touching Across Time and InuYasha: The Castle Beyond The Looking Glass, I like the second movie more. I do enjoy watching the first one just not as much.

I would have to agree, I enjoyed the first more then the second movie....but that might change once i've seen the other two...Sorry to go againist popular opinion, but the second movie bored me a bit, I can't say why...

I've only seen the first two, but of them, I definitely enjoyed Affections Touching Across Time. The second was just a bit boring. I did think it would be a good movie for people to see who don't know anything about Inuyasha since it explains pasts of the characters a bit.

That not why I like th second movie it was the best presented and was very well told.
And the whole tennyo thing is a real folk tale in japan very cool.
Has anyone else noticed the pentagram in other showssame five colors as well? (think tenchi muyo)
But not to say the first movie wasn't good it was very good....
but I sorta like the second movie better more humor

Good point but it was layed on just a bit thick if you get me...
A lot of the time inuyasha and the gang weren't loyal to their own characters based on how they normally act...
and the lack of comedy didn't help.
I thought it was a bit rushed and sloppy that's what bugged me

I've only seen the first two as well, and while I thought they were OK, they were just really two extra-long typical episodes with better animation. The villains are like whatever--you'll know they get vanquished in the end, so there really wasn't that feeling of imperilment or danger. Also, it was kind of frustrating that after all that time they're all still doing pretty much the same thing--Inuyasha's still gruff and wanting to be full demon, Kagome's still waffling about her feelings toward him, Miroku's still molesting Sango, Sango likes it but has to bash his head in all the same, Shippo's his cute little self, and Naraku's still Naraku. That poor Kohaku--why can't they just kill him off, for God's sake? Instead, he gets trotted out every single time they want to mess w/Sango. I was hoping for a little bit more insight or some different scenarios, but they're at that status quo where they can keep trotting out the same stuff over and over again. Now I'm looking forward to seeing the other movies--maybe they'll be something different.

the third movie was pooryly translated in most areas and the characters did do awkward things, but the violence made up for the lack of comedy. while the plot line is rushed and put on sloppily, the 3rd movie has more good fight scenes than the other two.

My favorite movie was 'Castle Beyond The Looking Glass' also know as the 2nd movie. Long title. I enjoyed the humor and plot line much more then the other's. Although I do like the 1st movie; the 3rd is fair but not grand in my opinion (too much OOC-ness) and I have not yet seen the fourth movie. >_<

The third movie was surprisingly graphical, compared to the series and other movies. It was annoying about the endless zombies and such, but the story and action was well done. Not to mention you finally get to see Inuyasha's father for the first time.
I'd say that I like the third one the most so far. Can't wait for the fourth one. ^_^

I've seen all of Inuyasha's movie except the fourth one. So far I think the third one(Sword of Conquest) is the best out of them all. I think this 3rd movie has some very essential value to the Inuyasha show.
Here are my Legit reasons:
- Has the better graphics.
- More fight scenes/great fight scenes.
- Get to learn a little more about inuyasha's parents.
- Storyline is more interesting.
- Learn more meanings about the three swords.
- Shows Inuyasha and Kagoma's relationship becoming more stronger than ever.
- Shows that friends will always be there for you when in need of help.
- Inuyasha learns who the killer of his mother is.
- Inuyash gets to see his father.
- Sesshomuru is more invovled.
- Showing Inuyasha having the need to become stronger.
- The need for Inuyasha to protect.
- Brothers will always end up together and fight for the same common cause.
- Shows that Inuyasha will do what it takes to resolve problems relating to his father.
This 3rd movie(sword of conquest) is not just fighting zombies. You have to look deeper in its meaning to understand the situation.
- Why were they fighting the zombies?
- Who sent the zombies?
- What is the reason for using the zombies in the first place?
- How are they going to beat the zombies?

From what your saying you are just basing the 3rd movie on the fight scenes and graphics.
If you think the second movie is SOOO hot then give me all the reasons why it's SOOO hot plus some explaination. You should be able to think of more reasons/explanations for the second movie then I could for the third movie. If you can't think of more than what I said about the third movie then that's just a lame excuss for saying that the second movie is better. Your words right now without any backup is not enough to convince me. Your trying to persuade me so do it.
"Oh, and if you won't say anthing, I win." This is just an encouragement for us to debate.
Here are some ratings I found at these websites :
ANIDB ;
Inuyasha 2nd movie: 7.46 (277 people voted)
Inuyasha 3rd movie: 8.31 (182 people voted)
Animenfo ;
Inuyasha 2nd movie: 7.9/10.0 (47 reviews)
Inuyasha 3d movie: 8.2/10.0 (16 reviews)
Come on, with these ratings Inuyasha 2nd movie doesn't stand a chance. Look at how many people voted for the 3rd movie it's way less than the 2nd movie and it still beats the 2nd movie big time.
Just because it's your opinion doesn't mean that you have the braging rights.

It's on dude...
I like the second movie better BECAUSE: first off it had a better story (Swords of power so what heard it before) it had lots of Humor, The fight scenes (few yes so what) were well done and the movie didn't pull any punches either. It was sweet I was laughing and going "cool" like the whole movies and the whole fake tennyo thingie was cool (Gods kick ***) I mean it was just better.
Besides the third movie while cool had a lot of issues, First off the plot...
It jumped to fast, they never explained how the sword was made or how Inu's dad got it, The whole flipping movie almost everybody was out of character I mewan when is Inuyasha gonna say "I'd like to thatnk my parents!" What the crap was that, and I dunno bout you it didn't have the same "Movie quality" effects as the other two (not counting the castle effects that was done well) it was likke an extended episode..
I didn't like it...
tat's it my standpoint your move (eyes narrow)

:P
Thats just your opinion, but compare it with others from the ratings I got off those two websites. More people prefer the storyline from the 3rd movie over the 2nd movie.
For humor, there were some in the beginning of the 3rd movie. But remember this 3rd movie is more focus on the fighting and voilence rather than the humour. What would you do if a problem related to your father suddenly appear? Would you face it head on or become a coward and run for your life? Would it be funny now if you were fighting for life?
The fight scenes (few yes so what) were well done and the movie didn't pull any punches either. :P
Well if you compare the fight scenes from the 2nd movie to the 3rd movie. The 3rd movie would win because there was more technique(as in different ways of fighting) in the fighting scenes plus they choreograph it better.
For this comment " the movie didn't pull any punches either" what are you intending to say here. Could you elaberate more?
It was sweet I was laughing and going "cool" like the whole movies and the whole fake tennyo thingie was cool (Gods kick ***) I mean it was just better.
:P
Come on just because of that one thing you said would make the 2nd movie better? More details explaination :
Besides the third movie while cool had a lot of issues, First off the plot...
It jumped to fast, they never explained how the sword was made or how Inu's dad got it, P
If you were paying attention you would have already known how Inuyasha's father got the 3 swords. Tensiaga and Tessiaga were made from Inuyasha's father's fangs by Totosai as you'll know. For the sword Sua'guna Inuyash's father already had the sword from the getco(or from the start).
The whole flipping movie almost everybody was out of character I mewan when is Inuyasha gonna say "I'd like to thatnk my parents!" What the crap was that, P
The way you're wording this sentence is confusing. You might want to say something more concise then the above sentence so I can get your drift(or so I can understand it more).
and I dunno bout you it didn't have the same "Movie quality" effects as the other two (not counting the castle effects that was done well) P
If you compare the movie quality from the 3rd movie to the other two movies . The 3rd movie would have better quilty. From the ratings I got, it must say that the 3rd movie had better "movie quality"
it was likke an extended episode.. P
Each of the movies can actually be consider stand alones. So you can't say that the 3rd movie is just an extended episode.
I didn't like it... P
You don't like it, but a lot more people liked it more than the 2nd movie from the ratings I found.
If anyone else wants to butt in we would gladly appreciate it.

Dude the fights in 2nd movie... awesome
like when Kaguya scuked up Bakuyuha and blew it back when they stole the fire rat robe that was awesome!!!!
or when they killed Kaguya big exploisions and tornado's sweet!!!!
so shut up about the fights they were way better....
I have to give props to Inu's dad but that's just that part
What I meant by out of character was that Inuyasha would never say this:
"I'd like to thank my parents" ????? I was like WTF?
he said that right after the whole "I'm human and won't give up because of it " crap that was stupid...
And the second movie was cool because of the funny moments, I mean one of my freinds who watched it with me almost died of laughter! and the action seens were awesome!!! the three headed dragon, the super big tornados of death. It was all cool! and the plot I mean Naraku pretending to die and playing everybody for idiots genius!!!

You just don't get it. The fight scenes from the 2nd movie doesn't compare to the 3rd movie. That one scene you mentioned wasn't cool its just okay. Now lets talk about the powers from the Four swords especially the Sau' uga Sword. This sword alone could amaze you with it's powers, have you ever seen a sword with the power to kill 100/1000 people with one swope, now thats awsome. The technique that the Sau'uga sword used "Hell's Dragon" was amazing. I haven't seen a power that strong ever in any Inuyasha series/movies. The 3 headed dragon from 2nd movie wouldn't stand a chance against the Sau'uga sword if they were ever to encounter. Well I guess every villian from the 2nd movie wouldn't stand a chance against the Sau'uga Swords' technigues and power(O yeah about that mirror, Sau'uga wouldn't have to use his powers, he just has to slice it in half).
What I meant by out of character was that Inuyasha would never say this:
"I'd like to thank my parents" ????? I was like WTF?
he said that right after the whole "I'm human and won't give up because of it " crap that was stupid...
You should already know why Inuyasha wouldn't say the phrase "thanks" to his father. If you even paid attention to any of the Inuyasha series/movies you should have known. Here is my question to you, would Inuyasha say the words " I love you" to Kagoma? Of course not, duth. He's not that kind of person that would think rational.
And the second movie was cool because of the funny moments, I mean one of my freinds who watched it with me almost died of laughter!
Funny moments, I didn't see any funny momemts that would knock me off my chair in the 2nd movie. Now if your talking about Full Metal Panic Puff Poff then that's a very comedic anime. I mean if your friend laughed that hard he probably doesn't realize the difference between comedic act that is to die for and comedic act that is just so so. Oh yeah if your friend ever saw Full Metal Panic Puff Poff I guess he would had dropped dead by what you stated in your post.
It was all cool! and the plot I mean Naraku pretending to die and playing everybody for idiots genius!!!
For Naraku, I've seen too much of him. Naraku is always in almost every Inuyasha eposide or is related to it so this idea of Naraku gets old. Now the storyline in the 3rd movie is something new, so it's better to watch something new than old.
Oh and if you think you've got the majority rule on this one...
The ratings that I found on those two sites combine for the 3rd movie is more than the people from this theard alone. So it's no use trying to beat me with the ratings. Just one more thing, those people who voted on those websites have legit reason on why they rated the 3rd movie higher. Some of those people are reviewers too. They actually pick out parts of the movie and rated it not like in this thread. This thread is like it or not, thats it. So you can't compare them. Unless you ask everyone to actually give legit reasons on why they like the second or the other two movies with in depths detail.
From the so call explainations I heard from you, they don't even compare to my previous explainations. You need to give me more detailed explainations, because right now it just seems like you are giving lame excusses. You need to improve.

People who have seen all 3 movies (except the 4th) won't admit that the 3rd movie is the better one so far. I mean I haven't seen the fourth one yet but if I did I would compare it with the 3rd movie to see which one is better. And I will admit it after I compare them. From what I heard the 4th movie is going to be better than the other 3 movies so I'm itching to see the 4th movie soon when it comes out.

The first movie was just a sloppy rehash of the Tsubaki story mixed in with some of the Kagome-realizing-she-loves-InuYasha story. Just because both respective stories were good doesn't mean a mishmosh of the two will work well too. It also seems to follow the trend of Sunrise making Kikyo do far more evil deeds than she originally did in the manga (when did she hold a knife to InuYasha in a manga? I'm still looking for that page)
I liked the second movie, mostly because it also had Kagura...and made Kikyo less evil, though her segments were a bit gratuitous (AKA, for the Kikyo fans). Maybe it was a mistake to include Naraku, Kagura, and Kanna in the movie though, because it truly makes it feel like little more than an extended episode. I do love the ending, "Yura Yura" though.
So far, of the three I've seen, I liked the third movie the MOST actually. And typically, I don't even care about Sesshomaru all that much. But as far as stand alone story goes, the third movie seems to do well even separated from the popularity of the series it came from. Did I mention I liked the third movie a lot even though I don't really care about Sesshomaru most of the time?
I still haven't seen the fourth movie, but judging by the upward trend from the first movie, I think I will like it the most.

On a side note, anybody notice Koga didn't make it into any of the movies? Guess he's not very popular...
