This was edited out of the US release. I got a hold of the Spanish version & took screenshots of the scene that many of us who watched this show in the US missed out on.

There is nudity but it shouldn't break the rules since its not hentai/porn.

Well Chaotic Century is a little more aimed at young teens to adults, while the other Zoids are nothing like Chaotic Century & they are kids stuff. Chaotic Century is much more deep with a better story, better characters, more darker. Deals with more themes of war & death, while all the others are "happy-happy joy-joy" but Chaotic Century does have a lot of happy & comedy too(mostly season 1). Season 2 is like the Zeta Gundam of Zoids.
The other Zoids can't compare, those are like kid toy commercials. Chaotic Century was a manga first too, it was based on a good story with a toyline as its mecha.

So the release of the Zoids CC DVD (US), it's all the cut versions..... :(
I highly doubt they gonna release the uncut verson considering they don't even got the japanese dub on the US release and it's already low price with like 4-5 episodes.

Sadly yes, its a cheap release & Viz doesn't give a damn about the show. It failed in the US. Took them years before they started to release the DVDs.

Still, IMO the dub is wonderful & there are only a few edits. Other than that most in unedited. They kept the names of characters(Blue Devil) & Zoids(like Hell Cat, Hell DigGunner, Death Stinger, etc.). They kepted stuff I'm surprised wasn't edited out, especially the lines involing Hell such as:

"This is our Heaven & Hell move, he attack from above in Heaven & I attack from below in Hell" - Hell DigGunner brothers

"Welcome to the gateway...to Hell" - Raven

"I'll take you all with me to HELL!!! - Captain Sepers


And other themes like trying to kill a little kid Prince. I'm SO HAPPY 4Kids diddn't get Zoids, they would edit it a lot more(duh).

Underage nudity?^_^ Yeah they should have kept it on the DVDs, but its clear why it was edited from TV.

At least Fiona looks like a realistic 14 year old nude, unlike in Evangelion where the 14 year olds have big boobs & such like when Fiona is 18 in season 2.

Prozen was bad, but Hiltz was PURE EVIL. Hiltz used everyone like puppets: Raven, Reese, Prozen, Fiona, etc. He killed Stinger(the gay villian), Rosa's grandfather, Raven's parents & blew up entire towns(including the Helic capital).

:lol: I admit I have not ever seen this anime. But, that salt quote made me want to post. I remember that happening in my home once when someone mistook the salt for the sugar, but I knew and told I believe therefore I have not ever tried it. But, I also like to add weird ingredients to food so that to me is not strange at all. :P

In the Latin-american dub they pronounced his name as: Teniente Schvaltz. Yeah, I got to see Zoids CC in spanish and uncut. grrr.... I've been getting away with seeing uncut anime for years. *giggles*

Hrm.. the captions don't have the Unicable channel logo, the bitorrent must have been grabbed from the show's transmission by Televisa which aired it around 2001 on mexican National TV. Either that or it is from a transmission from South America like the ETC channel (but since I don't have ETC I can't say).

Yeah its Lieutenant. I'v seen his last name spelled more ways than one(Shubaltz). Most people besides his brother(which is funny) calls him Thomas, you'd think his own brother would call him by his first name but I think he only does once when Karl tells Thomas to kil him. "Your a good brother Thomas..." in the Devil's Maze episode. Karl is such a military guy that he doesn't like to use personal names, so Karl just calls his brother Lieutenant.

Its not about a scene left in, its about a scene that was cut from the US release. I'v been watching this show for years, & to actually see a scene that was cut is a big deal to me.

Thats who we are talking about, Lieutenant Thomas Shubaltz. A funny character, who falls in love with Fiona but is so hopeless. He is a smart geek, he even created his own A.I. & he is a big military freak(not as much as his brother). He is the type always trying to be most serious but ends up being funny & picked on.

How old were the main characters? If they were 14(Van, Raven, & Fiona) then its season 1, if there all adults its season 2. Season 2 is much darker, I consider it the Zeta Gundam of Zoids.

Season 1 starts out light & kinda kiddy but then it just gets more & more dark & better.

I was looking at the new edited photos of violence scenes Levon just discovered were cut out from the US dub. I remember seeing all of them in the mexican dub. It's a shame that the only legit Zoids release in spanish are those PVD DVD's from Hasbro that I have heard you can't play with a real DVD player. ¬¬

And imagine, if it's in a Hasbro toy, they actually assume Zoids is a show for kids. Hohoho. Very funny indeed.

Wow, those were great.
Makes more sence how Jamie got envolved and why he was also kneeling for forgivness. I loved how he was scanning Rinon(Leena) and wound up with a huge bruise on his cheek. I am suprised there were no nosebleeds especially after the soap hit Jamie. Makes little sence they did cut it out since only her legs are shown and is already pretty much implied Bit saw her naked.

The Resse flashback was invaliable. I first thought Reese was pure evil, but the dub episode shows her softer side although you think it is just a somewhat horrific childhood trauma, not an emmencely horrific trauma compounded by personal guilt.
As for her bust, Reese's first outfit made her lok her flatchested. I recall one episode that she slips a vile down there and I wondered how it stayed. He figure is more pronounced when she is wearing "flight suit".

I wonder if enough arm twisting will make them produce and uncut version.

Hasbro edited the show & wanted to target kids so they could get better model/toy sales. In Mexico I don't even know if they released the models/toys there & Hasbro has nothing to do with the Zoids release there. I think they just released it as an anime instead of as a commercial for kids like Hasbro tried to do in the US.

But like I'v said a billion times, even though they cut out the worse stuff most is left uncut and its nothing like what 4Kids does to anime.

Yeah Hasbro cut the shower scene. There are also no subs or closed captions.

The only way to watch it uncut in Japanese is to buy the R2's, which are raw Japanese only & are expensive(I still plan to buy them one day).

You'll need $700 in order to "get-a-hold of the origonal version".

Its impossible to find it the original version otherwise. Well I did download a few random raws & even the first episode fansubbed but thats all. I have the first 20 episodes dubbed in Spanish which is uncut.




Anyway, speaking on Japanese Zoids DVDs, Zoids Genesis will start to be released on DVD in a month. The Zoids Genesis Special Box Vol.1 will cost $233 :j Its the first 18 episode box set & comes with a figure. So far there are 36 episodes & I believe it will be around 50 or more.

Weather or not it is intended to be ads for the toys, “Zoids” is a great anime. Even the black sheep “Fuzors” had a fair amount of plot and character development. Hope "Genesis" is pretty good. The most I have seen are the avatars from Levon's page (BTW thanks).

Nope, raw Japanese only like most Japanese R2's. The R4 release is the same as the R1.

No point, they wouldn't do it. It took then years just to release Chaotic Century on DVD & its a cheap budget release with 6 episodes(7 on the last DVD) per DVD, they use DVD5 instead of DVD9 & the retail price is only $15. Dub edited only, no subs or closed captions. This anime means almost nothing to the companies, it does have a nice fanbase but not enough for them to re-release it in Japanese, hire translators, & get the same VAs to dub the parts that were cut. Its all too much work & money for them.

No they don't. The PAL R4's are the same as our version & I don't think the PAL R2's even have this show on DVD.

Ahhh... So you guys were referring to the Aussie R4's. I all thought you guys were talking about the Latin-america R4's. Sadly like 99.999999999999999999999% of anime that has become available in spanish in Latin-america, no legit DVD release exists. A few episodes of the CC series were in a format called PVD though (like DVD's for kids or something by Hasbro). Sadly PVD's don't work on a DVD player.

*sigh* I loved this show. It used to be my favorite. I saw it every morning at 6:00 on cartoon network when they had it. The others seasons were nothing compared to CC though (in my opinion). I have a few of the dvds but i really wish there was a subbed version. that would be so great. I assumed they probably cut some stuff out but this is more than I thought.
