Best fighting or choreographed anime scenes?

So here is a question for everyone: What would you consider to be the best fighting or choreographed anime scenes, episodes, or just plain series you have ever seen? :D I can't seem to recall many of them, even though I've watched a ton of anime. :p

Damn, I forgot the name of that one. I kept remembering gymnast turned street fighter, but I couldn't remember. :P Thanks for the reminder. Some say the fights in mainstream animes like Kenshin and Naruto are pretty good (especially Kenshin vs Saitoh and Rock Lee vs Gara), but some of the moves aren't as great as Air Master or even Angelic Layer and stuff like that. :) Ramna has one or two interesting fights in it as well. Maybe X, Getbackers, CowboyBebop, Trigun, Kiddy Grade, or something... but they're really not melee styled things. Ikkitousen maybe? ^_^ Flame of Recca? Eeee...

I would have to say all the sword fighting choreographed scenes in Rurouni Kenshin. All of Kenshin's battles especially the Kenshin vs. Saito duel was so impacting, and it really set the tone for the events that begun to take place in the Legend of Kyoto arc. I also liked the second fight between Kenshin and Aoshi, and the fight between Kenshin and Shishio too, especially in the last round of their fight. All of these fights at the shrine of the arches and so many more were so memorable for this series.

Most fo the best hand-to-hand fighting you'll find in anime is in the Street FIghter movie. Particularly the Ryu/Fei Long fight.

The Best fighting anime scenes would the the first battle between Goku and Tien in Dragon Ball. The way those two warriors fight with each other is awesome. Their moves are stunning.

Definitely the fights in Scryed, X TV and the ones in Trigun that were actually shown (since some battles and shootouts apparently take off-screen in Trigun).

The gun fights in Noir, especially in one episode where Kirika uses popcorns.

The duel between Seta and Motoko in Love Hina.

Fights in Cowboy Bebop are great. Every one of them except the last battle between Spike and Vicious after he ascended the building in the last episode, that was too short and there was hardly any action at all.

The fights in Rurouni Kenshin are interesting but sometimes they tend to be too unrealistic. It also feels like DBZ sometimes as the characters just disappear and reappear, light speed attacks and long range energy type attack.

I thought some of the fights in Tenjou Tenge were done very well, particularly the first few.

Goku vs Homura in Saiyuki also.

Some of Elcairs moves in Kiddy grade are pretty stunning also.

But my fav is or IMO the best done is the climatic battle between Spike and vincent (Bebop movie)

In Angelic Layer; Hikaru vs. Wizard and Hikaru vs. Athena.
In Noir ep. 26 when they enter to that kind of Church and are looking for Altena. Also Chloe vs. Mireille is good. Or Kirika vs. Mireille. I like almost all NOIR fights.
In Evangelion when EVA 01 and EVA 02 dance together to destroy the angel.
I can't remember more now....... :P

I would say the best choreographed fight scene I've seen would be the final battle in the Cowboy Bebop movie. Really great.

My favorite, however, would be Kenshin's fight with Saito.

Yah, the fight in Cowboy Bebop the Movie is clearly one of the best fight scenes ever. Even if I person dislikes that movie, it is hard to say that the final fight is bad. I would also have to say the final fight scene in the Kenshin OVA(Kenshin and Tomoe in it). Lastly, the fight between Griffith and Gutts in Berserk when Gutts tries to leave.

from the moment she picks up the battle ship and lobs it.... I forgot about that part of the movie. Easily one of the coolest fight scenes in anime. Good pick!

cowboy bebop movie ending fight was cool. other memorable ones for me are :
1. the kim kaphwan fight scene in Fatal Fury the motion picture (most of the fight scenes in that movie were great)
2. the ninja scroll fight scenes especially against the blind samurai one.
3. the final battle in vampire hunter D : bloodlust
4. the hunter x hunter fight scene where killua's father and grandfather battle lucifer (not sure about his name?)
5. Alucard's battle against alexander and incognito

For best fights, I'd have to go with Naruto, since it's really the only anime where I don't get bored during fights not invloving my favorite character. For best choreorgaped scene, I'd have to say anything in Kaleido Star. It always has me totally mesmorized.

Hey, this should be a poll, because I'm seeing a lot of "landmark" fights:

1. Kenshin vs. Saito at the Kamiya Dojo--probably the best regular anime series action sequence, IMO

2. Spike vs. Vincent in CB Movie--that movie had some of the best fighting action, period.

A lot of fights in Rurouni Kenshin comes to mind. Also Spike vs Vincent is easily one of my favorite fights ever.

Noir definitely has some nicely done shootouts.

Angelic Layer has some of the more entertaining fights I've seen.

Bebop movie also has some of the best around. Each encounter Spike has with Vincent is pretty stunning.

2nd season of Kenshin has a lot of fights, quite memorable ones.

- Gundam SEED: Destiny and Gundam SEED. Has one of the best Gundam bouts in the gundam series (2nd being V Gundam)

- Xenosaga: The Animation. The battles between the humans, Realians agains the gnosis is really orchestrated well. And that they don't leave one bit of the game's story (even though the scenes may be a bit different).

- Scryed. Any fan of X MEN will really like this anime take of the U.S X MEN. I especially like Kazuma's Shell Bullet and Cougar's need for speed (even though it may be destructive).

- Fafner. Any fan of Evangelion would like this series. Though not as religious as Evangelion. But still this' one of my favorite scifi series' that was released in TV Tokyo last year.

- Yakitate Japan. Due to the orchestration of the bread duels that Azuma and his gang to through (eventually leading up to the Newcomers and Monaco Grand Prix of Bread Baking).

2. Unit 2 vs Eva Series in EoE was a rather epic enthralling battle.

4. Guts vs the monsters at the end of the Berserk anime.

Rurouni Kenshin's fights were actually pretty dull aside from Kenshin vs. Saitou. Of course, the same can be said for most shounen fighting anime...

Anyway, one thing that always stands out to me is Amuro vs. Char in Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack. Really outdoes a lot of the modern-day beam-spam sorts of fights.

Many of the fights in Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo and Scryed are amazing. I also liked In EoE when Asuka fought the Eva series. The Naruto vs Sasuke fight. Also the fight between Archer and Berserker in Fate Stay Night.
