Maple Story!!!

Hey, I just wanted to know if anyone played this game? For those who don't know, Maple Story is a side-scroller MMORPG, it looks a lot like Gunbound. I'll post more when I actually play the game

Its alright, but starts getting dull after you get your job and realize you lose 10% of your xp when you die (not if, when).

But its a nice variance from the standard mmorpg.

Well, I'm at lvl 9 and I need 5 int to become a wizard, does it get better when you have a job class?

Moose, if you're becoming a mage, you already messed up. You need to make the job change at level 8 if you want to be a mage. If you don't, you lose a large number of skill points. I'm guesssing you thought you needed to changa at lvl 10, which means you've lost 7 skill points and you're going to be really weak.

You should just restart your character.

Oh, I see, actually, I knew I needed to be lvl 8, I just had only 15 int, but I'm willing to be a warrior...

Um... don't you notice that 1. I'm playing a free MMORPG and 2. I'm playing one that is 2D and runs smoothly. I would pay WoW but I kinda don't want to because I need to get a new graphics card, and then I need to pay a subscription... I'm good. Also, did you play this game?

Dude, my cousin introduced me to this game yesterday and I'm totally addicted. I guess it's a nice alternative to GB since my rank went down after I haven't played in awhile. Anyway yeah, I'm becomin' an archer chick... currently at only level 12.

If your going to make a mage I suggest you follow a "stat plan" I dont think I can post the link but PM me and ill give you a link to the top maplestory forum which has all that stuff.

Yeah, if you're going to become a mage, remember to bring up your INT and LUK all the way up, I made the mistake of upgrading my strength first...

For instance, I've had problems these days at playing MS because it constantly kicked me out for no apparent reason (it told me to review my personal information). Happily, it stopped, so I can play now with my crappy lvl 19 magician. ^_^ It's also odd that your mage's level has dropped... if so, you should notify MapleStory.

I guess you just have to be patient and really bored at 2 AM. I'm currently a level 31 hunter (those job 3 moves look so damn cool... so I really want to get there). Heh, I would have been higher but I was waiting for a friend to catch up... it's taking him forever though. GRRRR....

Open Beta testing is now closed their are no more new accounts and they really are starting to crack down on hackers. I saw a GM banning botters earlier today he was just deleting accounts.

I am now a 31 (soon to be 32) spearman. Also the big patch Oryssia is soon to be released before 0.0.30 as a GM said. No to mention "Cash Shop" which you can now be viewed. They added a few new quests made some changes to user interface changed around mages spells amoung other things. www.mapleglobal.com has the full list of changes and oryssia should be out with third job advancements by the end of Feb.

If anyone wnats to hunt or something feel free to whisper Miraho in game. Post your in game names =p

Yeah it does I've been playing it again (only the lord knows why i play it only during thanksgiving get bored come back a year later for it) but ya its true and i got a Maplehontas neiner

It was okay, i got to level 43 or so during beta.

Most people tend to enjoy it because of it's unique 2d scroller mmorpg style, but once you hit, I don't know, 70's and up it get's boring (unless you like grinding for hours :D hehe)

MapleStory also has a little hacking issue... but this shouldn't discourage you from trying it out ^_^
